i got a loan from everyday loans on 11th nov 2008 £500 for interest of £319 total £819!included in this was a £100 admin fee

I had 7 payments left of £65 & decided to get another £500 (needed this for rent!) so consolidated first loan.new loan of £905.they charged £150 admin fee (this was 6/7 months later 50% increase)total charges £1432.00.
i had paid these people for 8 months straight, low and behold i ask to defer payment and they `kick off`.i now have to pay approx` £143 per month for the remaining 9 months, and 2 times £25 late fees.when the government are telling financial institutes to `go easy` on people this is obscene!

written by on 05/08/2009

My partner went with everyday loans after he went through a credit broker by the name of skoot loans, We were really please when he got an appointment with them until he got to their office and they told him they could only offer him £1000 even though he had been told by skoot that he had been approved for the full £2500 but at 69%APR is absolutley ridiculous, i dont know how these firms getaway with it with the way things are in the money market at present.
All i can say to you all is try not to go with any credit broker as you have to pay what they call their handling fee and more often than not they will say its refundable but you never see it again oh and you dont get a loan either with most companys. I found out the hard way and lost alot of money through going through credit brokers and it gets you no where. But on ONE positive note we got the loan from Everyday loans for our holiday but it wasnt what we were quoted on and didnt get the full amount we wanted but im glad in away with the fact that the apr is very very very high

Wont recommend to anyone. Once I missed one of there direct debits, but paid it in few days, and when I finished up with all there instalments, I`d to pay £80 on top of that, and when I enquired with them I was told it was the interest for the direct debit I`d missed, but they didn`t tell me that I was paying more Couple of years back I was in mess and was lookin for a loan, so someone introduced me to Everyday Loans, got the £2000 from them and ended up paying double in 2 years

Very Poor support during these difficult financial times. A colleague applied for a £6000 loan from everyday loans, was offered a £2500 loan over 3 years.
the repayment terms were £199 pounds over 36 months which equated to total repayable £7500. that is a profit of £5000. where is the justification in a 200% profit.
It is not just sir fred goodwin who has made a profit out of of these gloomy times.
There is no undrstanding or sympathy from these businesses
they just live of other humaan beings difficulties.

I applied for a loan with Everyday Loans last August for £5000. I went to the office to sign the forms only to be told that I could only have £3000 I took this because they said I could reapply in 3 months for the further £2000. When I applied they turned me down. Can't wait to pay them off.

Had you kept up payments on your other credit when u asked for extra £ £? If you have missed payments this will affect your credit rating.

★★★★★

written by lozenge on 16/07/2008

I felt that the service was honest and more competitive than APR advertised, no penalties if you pay the loan back early or extra payments here and there, did ask about life insurance, PPI etc, but didn't badger too much. Nice offices, Lots of information provided and I was able to email my online bank statements, no grilling over entries of accounts. A worth well experience for perople who have a poor credit history. Certainly a responsible lender. Very impressed for sub prime lender.

written by credit14 on 15/07/2008

I recieved a call from Everyday Loans and was looking for £3000 loan they said they would not be able to give me a loan but they could give me this money to consolidate my debts! But I did not mention that! Then they said they had brought up my credit profile and said you are better of doing this it would be £216 a month x 36 months which comes to a whopping £7776 they said they would review my repayments within 6 months. If someone has bad credit why lend them £3000 to make them end up paying over £7000? Their argument was that no lender would give me a loan I said why would you then they said of course they would have to review my finances, bank statements etc...I said I would call them back of course I won't! My advice is though you feel there are no options it is better of using the coppers you have and paying companies rather than taking a quick fix and end up worse off having a debt of £7000!...do you REALLY think you credit will improve?

“My loan with Everyday Loans www.everyday-loans.co.uk...”

★★★★☆

written by lat26 on 04/03/2008

My loan with Everyday Loans www.everyday-loans.co.uk is a secured loan that was sorted out relatively quickly, I was happy with the communication initially during the application process. However since we started making repayments they have never taken the direct debit out on the same day of the month yet!! I have never been informed of a change of dates either, that said, when I complained it was sorted out straight away & I was offered a refund of any bank charges that I may get as a consequence of they errors. My local branch does have a new manager now that has promised improvements is all aspects of customer care!!
Overall I dont have any problems with this company, yes they are an adverse company with higher APR's, but they are up front
with everything. I would suggest that anyone with adverse credit gives them a shot.

I took out a loan with Everyday Loans last year.
I dont know why i was already in a bad situation with debt and in my stupid head space then id decided that by taking the loan i could pay of some of the debt and make a dent in others..

Like i say i was in a bad headpsace then and i didnt really make a dent in anything then.. Thanks fully im more with it now, and i have started tackling stuff including this loan from these people.

One of my payments was late (by about 8 days) someone knocked on my door asking me to pay!! How rude (8 days!!)
So i wrote and sent a cheque, and the same the month after, however i began to realise that this loan was making me fall behind with my other creditors, so i looked into the agreement and realised i was paying about 50 quid a month in ppi so i asked for tht to be removed (the only letter i got back was asking for a statement of affairs)

Sent them another letter asking them to be a little lenient whilst i got the money together to pay them- they basically wrote back saying no.

decided to sack it- ive stopped paying them and have no intention to restart- taking this loan out with them caused me to fall behind in everything else so my credit file is now even worse so i intend to never acknowledge the debt again and let it go to statue barred.

This is a poor company who target people who have already got financial problems and just make it worse for them for there own financial gain.

I regret ever answering my phone to them.

even though you feel hard done by ,the worst thing you can do is just stop paying the company as its a legal agreement you signed and just to stop paying a creditor for money that you have borrowed is fraud . <br/>Its like being caught pinching a pack of crisps as you thoght the price tag was too high and refusing to pay them for it . <br/> If you knew that was going to be a problem and could not afford to pay this company why take out the loan the place plus all loans or credit agreements have a cancellation period . <br/>best thing to do is to speak to company and try work out an arrangement or this loan could end up costing you a lot more .

If you are late with a payment and do not contact the company what do you expect? it is a subprime company. Your attitude in "deciding to sack it off" is exactly why companies such as Everyday loans have higher APRs. You really need to face your debt like a good honest human being.

I disagree with this review because... encouraging people to miss payments on agreements because its to expensive could lead to massive problems in people's future. especially when all credit agreements have cancellation periods on them and everyone has free will wheather to take loans out or not . <br/>if someone knows something is to expensive and cannot afford payments on credit should not take loan in first place .

In my opinion, Everyday Loans are very down to earth, ordinary everyday people, who didn't push me, and offered good advice. I was more than pleased with the service i got . I was offered very good financial advice. I got a consolidation loan and they advised me what to pay off and what was costing me a fortune in interest.

Everyday Loans provided me with a loan, even though I have had bad credit in the past. They were very friendly and down to earth, and they didn't make me feel stupid. I provided them with ID, a payslip and a bank statement. They did go through my bank statement and asked me questions about it, and although I found this a bit strange, it showed me that they were not a loan shark and would not just throw money at you to make a quick profit. After making my application, I had my money within 3 days. I would recommend this company to anyone.

“After trying all the loan companies available for...”

★☆☆☆☆

written by Weemonk on 13/08/2007

After trying all the loan companies available for people who have a poor credit score or history, I stumbled across Everyday Loans.

I was intrigued as it seemed they might actually be able to cater for someone in my position. I was further intrigued as they deal with you and finalise any loan face 2 face. This is so much different then other companies and the way their website is set out, they seem very sensible in how they lend (they won't lend more than they think you can comfortably pay back). Everyday Loans are also a direct lender. It seemed that they would not solely be judging on my credit score. The other bonus was that I could walk away with a cheque there and then after meeting them.

I gave some initial details as to what I required and after being credit checked, I was advised I was in their highest bracket and as such they could only lend £1000 (I applied for £3000). As my situation was drastic and £1K was better than nothing, I asked what the APR would be. The lady advised me it would be 88%!! Now this is even higher than Welcome Finance and is not far off the extortionate rates of such companies as Provident.
The lady explained that this would only be over 13 months and hence was not as bad as it sounded and that also after a couple of months, they would review the loan amount and APR.
I agreed and she asked if I could go that day. I was working so arranged for the following afternoon. I was told to take ID with me, proof of address and my wage slip (acceptable items are listed on the site). My passport had run out and my driving license was lost. The lady said that a bank statement and card would suffice to prove who I was. The rest I had and all had to be originals.

I'm never keen on providing bank statements as I do not like people looking at my finances. There are criteria for loans but one of those should not be reading through bank statements. I took my statement anyway along with my card as she only required it for ID purposes.

I got to the office and was taken to a room. I produced all the documentation that was required. The person I spoke to looked at my statement and said there was a page missing. The missing page only said what interest would be placed on next month. She asked if I had on-line banking to which I said yes. She asked me to go on line and print the missing page. I did this and she looked at the statement. She then asked me to print the previous month as she said the statement was not a full month (it was!!). She then asked for the previous month to the previous month.....so all in all she had 3 months of statements.

The lady went away and came back 10 minutes later with copies of my statements (now for 3 months) with certain parts highlighted in yellow. I then had to sit there and explain every transaction on my statements that she had highlighted. I was grilled by her as to why I had taken money out or why I had paid in, what was the money for, why did I take out one day and put back in the same day.....what was that payment and who was it from.
This went on for about 10 - 15 minutes. I felt completely embarrassed and belittled by her grilling.....of which there was no mention that they would do this. I could not remember every transaction (would you?) and couldn't fully answer some of her questions. Once I had been grilled she said the application would have to go to head office for approval but they would probably say no.

In the end I wasted an afternoon off work, travel expenses and was made to feel embarrassed and belittled.

Everyday Loans do look a professional and may be a good place to try if everywhere else is turning you down......but be prepared to be grilled about your finances and transactions. Also be prepared for a ridiculous APR!

I feel that Everyday Loans does have a right to request to see your bank statements as they would need to see how you finances are managed and what other credit you may have. This is responsible lending.

Sorry to hear of your experience but probably the reason for the grilling was the legislation on money laundering. Some people hide dishonest earning by taking money out of accounts and putting it back in and paying lots of different loans. It's unfortunate for those with debt/credit issues that sometimes this makes it even harder for them to obtain credit. This basicly means that the company are being responsible but you are left high and dry. hope things improve for you soon.

I never said they didn't have a right to see the bank statements. It was the manner in which it was done and no, I do not feel a company has a right to grill you about EVERY financial transaction such as cash ones.
<br/>I'm all for responsible lending but never have I had the embarrassment that I had with this company.
<br/>There are cheaper Sub-prime lenders. The APR of 88% I was quoted is higher than 2 other companies I can think of.

I have just read your review of EverydayLoans and I would just like to commend them on what seems to be Ethical Lending.
<br/>
<br/>I believe you should know what every transaction is on your bank statement and yes Banks Should grill you on what you spend you money on. If Every bank had done this for the past 10 years or so we probably would not be in the Credit Crunch we face today.
<br/>
<br/>As for APR 88% for a Sub Prime Company is about right. This would probably be equal to Welcome from my experience and no where near Provident who are 500% and Above!
