After far too many years of the most horrendous customer service possible and internet performance that fell far below what we were paying for, I have finally made the switch to a different provider. And I wish I had years ago. Aquiss are quick to answer the phone, you speak quickly to a human being, they seem to be really nice people (!) and responsive. I feel happy after speaking to them, rather than stressed out and frustrated! There were a few delays with getting BT Openreach in (not the fault of Aquiss) but Aquiss kept me informed throughout and did their best to speed up the whole process. The internet we now have is fast and consistent from Aquiss. What can I say? I unreservedly would recommend them.

Tried aquiss base on their glowing review and have been completely let down. Take orders which they can not deliver. When. It goes wrong, it the customer misunderstanding which is the issue. Customer treated with contempt. It's much more important what they're telling you...give lots of detail for why it's everyone else's fault but theirs.

I had an account with Aquiss for a few years and then discontinued it - it does not matter why, but it was not because of a dispute. I immediately started getting malware spam (like fake electricity bills). To explain, I give out a unique email address for every entity I deal with, and the spam was to the email address that Aquiss knew me by, so I know they are involved. I doubt the spam was from Aquiss directly, but it does looks like they sold my address to spammers as a kind of revenge for leaving them.

While the prices are a little bit higher it is most certainly worth the few extra pounds. The few problems I have had with Broadband/or Web Hosting have been sorted out and the service and support is outstanding. The only tiny niggle is that if you want to talk to someone the phone lines do not open until 10am. Not a major issue.

Moved to Aquiss over 4 years ago since joining them I have regraded products as new speeds arrived now happily on FTTC. Service is great it just works when ever I need speed it is there, have to say speed is much better than my old VM connection at peak times. Never really had a fault any downtime was due to BT updating their systems or network. On the odd occasion I had to call support phones were answered quickly and professionally from UK staff. If I was promised a call back this happened all of my tickets were answered quickly, staff have always been very helpful going sometimes that little step further to help on the odd occasions I needed it. Being a silver surfer I needed a little extra help at times and they never failed me, I cannot praise them enough I would never think of moving happy here so I will stay. What is Internets biggest problem is not the ISPs fault but BT for staying so long on copper when it was already past its sell by date. One thing I can say is if there is an issue Aquiss will take this as far as they can to get it resolved sometimes it takes a while as a friend of mine found out but it was done in the end. As I said would recommend Aquiss to my friends and family and feel safe doing so. I haven't found anything I didn't like with this company I now have the FTTC unlimited business package 80/20 as use more during the day than night.

For the first few months of being with Aquiss the connection was excellent, with very high up/down speeds and really low latencies. This was the expected quality of service for having a 50pound family package. Aquiss makes it public that they prioritize business traffic during business hours. I found it fair, and found no issues with it during the first few months. However, after the first few months my connection started experiencing irregular periods of terrible quality. Download rates decreased to <1Mbps and latencies increased massively, in spikes. This turned out to be due to Aquiss straight out dropping between 20% and 80% (!!!!) of our packets whenever their network is heavily loaded. This happens usually during what they claim to be business hours, but is not limited to that time. It's the worst during "Windows patch Wednesdays", where the Internet is completely unusable until about 5pm. Usually happens to all the machines on the network (student flat), but sometimes one PC is free of issues, so the prioritization seems to be IP bound. Letting the customer service know about this does not accomplish anything. A ticket is opened and closed soon afterwards, sometimes even on the same day, without the issue being actually resolved. Changing my provider soon, do not recommend, definitely not worth 50 pounds/month.

We had a dodgy start to our relationship, did Aquiss and I. For some reason, I could only get Facebook up on my Galaxy S3 smartphone, and couldn't connect any other device to my Fibre Optic for almost three days. All of us were absolutely baffled by the goings on, as my computer was pinging at their end, while I couldn't so much as load Google. This went on for a couple of days, and then at 2-3pm on the Saturday, everything worked like nothing had been wrong. It was the most puzzling thing to be sure, and we went down every route trying to sort it out, and absolutely nothing worked, but never mind. It works now, and it works beautifully. I'm clocking speeds between 38 and 40, which is lovely considering I'm used to much lower speeds. the people I dealt with were amazing to me, and they were there all the time, monitoring my line at 3 am at one point, bless them. You wouldn't get that level of dedication from many other ISP companies. My Fibre Optic is smooth, it's fast, and it just makes my life so much easier, and the customer service is bang on. Sure, it's a bit more expensive than the mainstream internet providers, such as Sky (don't go there, ever), and BT. Now that I have a cracking line in place, I'll finally be able to return to Azeroth in a blaze of glory, for happy is the woman who can shed her armour and run naked through every inn she comes across...

Hmm?! What to say? Let me start with the bad points, and get those out the way.... ....... ...... ....... Well, that was the bad points done with. Now onto the good points - actually scratch that, Great points. I'd admit that the prices are a tad high, compared to other providers. However, the price is extremely worth it. You get TOP NOTCH Customer Service. You get TOP NOTCH Support. You get TOP NOTCH Speeds (for your area, if not better). I have been with Aquiss, 12 months in March 2014. And tomorrow (3/1/2014), i will be phoning up to cancel my broadband service with them, to then be put onto the Fibre Optic and phone line packages they have. To anyone that wants a great ISP and want that gold dust you rarely find from ISP's, then Aquiss is your place to be. Price should be no object for excellence! Oops! Almost forgot, you know when you see those compare sites, Aquiss i have never found them there. And to tell you the truth, the best companies actually avoid those sites, because they aren't the companies you need to be dealing with. FACT! One more thing, i have had three instances of downtime, twice main network problem, third was my error due to wrong password. Can not praise this company enough.

I live in a rural area with old lines and at least 2.5 miles from the exchange. BT could barely give me 1 meg, Eclipse 2.5 with frequent disconnects and throttling. Aquiss manages to provide me with a 7 meg down connection with no throttling ever and Piratebay isn't even blocked :D I pay maybe three times more for this service but its worth every penny. Finally I can use the internet as it was intended, play games with decent latency and stream HD videos with no buffering. The customer support is great with Aquiss, with swift responses from emails and forum posts, I feel they still care about the customer!

Everyone complains when things go wrong so I think it's fair to pass on compliments when things go well. Now I've been an Aquiss customer for several years and have been very satisfied but not had much call to put there customer service to the test, until recently. The line into my current work place had become quite unstable and would suddenly alter SNR and resync at random. We put this down to the length of line and overhead cables and were sort of accepting that this was life with adsl lines. One day I decided to talk with Aquiss about this, not really expecting much to happen, what with BT being involved as well. To my surprise they were very keen to investigate the issue and after a few tests I was told that they thought we should have a BT engineer out to look at the line. Long story short... a few days later we have a line that syncs at twice the previous speed and more importantly is very stable. Throughout the process Aquiss were very helpful and supportive and offered spot on advise. They seem so good at offering the personal touch which most ISP's I've encountered don't do. VERY WELL DONE AQUISS. On a different tack......They are now offering all you non aquiss ADSL users some special offers and coupled with teh service I know they provide I'd suggest you at least take a look at their site (www.aquiss.net) Now before anyone shoots me down I want to say I have no connection with Aquiss other than being a satisfied customer.

Whether it's the quality of the connection, quality of customer / technical service, help with setting up - Aquiss is a top flight set up. This is more like an approach I would expect from a high ranking German organisation - build and run the service to a quality standard, not cutting corners to achieve a price limit that we see so much in the UK. I need a reliable and good performing ISP for my work, as well as personal use, and Aquiss simply delivers. I remember when I set it all up, they offered valuable help about routers and all sorts of loosely related factors. This attitude of going beyond what is expected immediately marked Aquiss as something special, and they have never let me down since. For the tiny bit extra in charges, what you receive is well worth it - above all peace of mind and no hassle (remember all those times the other ISP's have problems and all the hassle that causes).

been with aquiss from day one, after my ISP went bust and I already left BT for another provider. martin sold his first package with confidentiality as he still does, he also is on the phone when you need support and actually remembers who you are, which in my case has never been hard, cos i have not made it easy on him, :-) for those in the uk that want a personal and good service well there really is no alternative, :-)

I've been with Aquiss for a few years now and am extremely satisfied with them. The no-lengthy contract is a big plus for me after having endless hassles and demands for hidden charges by previous ISP's (BT, Telewest) when cancelling after shoddy service. I think that Aquiss show their confidence in the service they deliver by offering a month-on-month deal. I've not had a single outage or dropped connection and speeds are consistently good. The price might put some people off but for me it's worth it for peace of mind and hassle free service.

Living in Shropshire I always presumed that I was never going to get a decent broadband speed regardless of the ISP. I have been with Orange since 2002 and all though the service was reasonable I have never been able to surf the net as one would have liked. After being saturated with all the online and TV propaganda from the likes of Virgin and BT etc I decided to at least try to see if more was available to me.
I came close to ordering with both BT and Virgin as most of the review sites favour these big names. I've spent enough time on the internet to know that some review sites can be biased so kept up my search until I found a review website that was neutral. I eventually landed here.
It was plain to see that the big names were not being favoured here so went through all the ISPS until I found one that the general public favoured. I landed on Aquiss????
Never heard of them, what should I do? There was no 18 month contract only month by month. Nothing to lose.
I placed an order that night and now 7 days on I am all connected and watching HD online videos to my hearts content. My download speed is 6 x what it has been this last 8 years.
This is a top drawer service that so few know about. Go for it as it's a no lose no brainer.
Thanks Aquiss

This is the best ISP I have ever had. To setup it was a doddle, everyone person contacted was friendly and the service is fantastic. Aquiss offer complete dedication to customers and are openly honest about their packages. Absolutely fantastic and worth every penny. GO AQUISS!

When setting up your initial account with Aquiss, it asks you for your payment details, so I entered my business card details, expecting that the money would be automatically taken each month.
However I received an 'overdue account' e-mail!
So I e-mailed Aquiss to ask why, and I received a very abrupt e-mail back, which said:
"I've told you before on the phone and via email, that we don't take payments automatically. We work with an invoice based system. If our approach to accounting does not fit into your way of business, then sadly we don't sound like the right ISP for you."
I have subsequently taken my business elsewhere!

I've been with Aquiss for a good 3 years now...possibly longer. Basically, I jumped off a sinking Pipex to go to a substantially more reliable Internet Service Provider.
From the whole time I've used this, I have had the occasional problems and queries...such as downtimes..but everyone gets those every now and then. Technical queries on settings/new hardware installations and whatnot.
I do get the odd problem here and there...but to be fair, e-mailing customer support has a brilliant response time...if it wasn't for their customer service and network support that I get, I'd probably rate it a 4/5. The 5 stars are very deserving.

I am very pleased to hear that there still exists a comms company that does not insist on your paying by direct debit. I shall certainly be taking a closer look at Aquiss :-)
