Ordered an item, took them over 2 days to tell me that the item was not in fact in stock. I did get an apology and a refund but this is slow. No offer of compensation. Maybe discount off a future order? Doubt I would go there again though to be honest. Sorry.... simply not good enough.

Bag arrived with stains on the inside, stitching missing and a broken zip. Phoned to complain, only to be greeted with thoroughly unhelpful staff.

I have been looking for distressed leather bags everywhere. It seems that no one knows how to read my mind. I needed a bag for University and normal daily wear. I usually carry a couple of books (either regular and text books), kindle, umbrella, small bottle of water, huge wallet.. overall lots of stuff, so usually my bags become quite heavy. So, I wanted it with a handle AND a shoulder belt. I was struggling with other bags, I want them simple, without thousands of zips everywhere, but they're usually too small or with too few pockets. Then I found Scaramanga website. The looks of the bags were EXACTLY what I was looking for. I had plenty to choose from and I finally bought a Vintage Leather Flight Bag 2. All my stuff fits perfectly. It has 4 pockets outside and they're perfectly shaped and easy to reach, so I have a place for everything. It seems made to last a century, and its looks are perfect. And it's cheap. And it arrived the next day. Everything with Scaramanga is perfect. I'll recommend it to everyone.

I absolutely LOVE my new school satchel. It is exactly as described, but even more beautiful! The leather is sturdy and has a gorgeous vintage dark brown colour that am sure will age very nicely. The design is exactly what I wanted and so hard to find. I search on Google and saw some from Cambridge Satchel Co, but they had a thin shoulder strap and weren't vintage looking enough for me. I did a LOT of research, Scaramanga's were the best looking. Their design is very simple, well made and look fab. I am sure it'll look great in 15 years time. Thanks Scaramanga!! Oh, and did I mention the price, cheaper than others I looked at. My best friend already wants one as well!!

I have just received my Scaramanga bag after ordering 2 days ago and it is absolutely beautiful.

I went for the large Overlander satchel, which is really big (I'd imagine that the medium would be ample enough for most people) but I purposely wanted a large bag for overnight stays and popping home from university as I prefer satchels to wheelie cases (I'm terribly clumsy).

Anyway, after reading great reviews of the quality of Scaramnaga products and the great customer service I decided to splash out. I'd been after a large vintage satchel for some time. I'd been looking on eBay and vintage websites but nothing caught my eye like the ones on Scaramanga. It comes with a guarantee as well so you're covered if anything were to go defective (which looks unlikely given the sturdiness of the thing!).

It's hand-crafted from beautiful vintage buffalo hide leather and looks set to last for many, many years. The company even says 'feel free to bash the bag around a good bit as it will only increase the bag's vintage look and feel'. It's a timeless piece that will only get better with age - a good investment!

Objective: buy a vintage leather satchel. A brown antique leather leather satchel big enough for work stuff, but with real vintage clothing looks and not new looking. Not as hard to find online as I thought it would be. It really was exactly what I was looking for. Or rather what I was instructed to buy!
Genuine first class service. First class product. The finish, craftsmanship, colour and leather are fantastic. Only down point is I bought it for my sister and not for me. But they have other vintage styled satchels available.

My grandmother bought me a satchel for my birthday, and I was expecting a generic satchel style you see every day. What I got was a beautifully crafted, substantial bag in a really warm coloured leather. Not something you would find in Topshop and for much better value. It's comfortable and can fit books and my laptop in. This company is a little gem! I'm so glad that I've found bags like these and am curently buying one for my boyfriend.

I had been looking for a leather satchel just like this for ages, and when it arrived I was so pleased with it - it was exactly what i'd been looking for. I love the vintage, unique look of the leather, the bag is strong and sturdy enough to carry lots of books and my laptop (I'm a uni student) and there's loads of room to fit everything in easily. The price is also a big bonus, as most leather bags cost £100s, so to get one that is so nice - I actually like it better than all the really expensive ones - for so cheap is fab. I will be going back to their website to shop again soon anyway. - so many lovely things I just want to buy everything!

If only all internet shopping was as pleasurable as this! I knew exactly what I wanted.A vintage brown leather satchel large enough for my Macbook and other stuff for work and one that could be used for going out shopping. I really wanted a vintage leather satchel with lots of character.One that looks as if it had been used. Although I found Scaramanga's leather bags, I did look elsewhere, I really wanted to see and feel the bag, but most of what I saw in the shops were too small and really satchel styled handbags, none had a vintage leather feel! A few other online satchel stores had some great coloured ones they were very new looking (not too surprising for new satchels I know!!)So I went ahead and ordered a small Overlander satchel. The bag arrived in two days and opened the package to find it neatly tucked inside its own beautiful dust bag, complete with care instructions. It is exactly what I exptected, with perfect vintage / weathered look. So I know it is truly a unique piece. There are not too many pockets and compartments, a large main compartment and a large front pocket and several zipped compartments for valuables and mobiles/i-pod. Aside from the item itself, ive been extremely impressed with Scaramanga's customer service. They seemed so friendly and efficient. They sent me updates at each stage:ordering,confirmed payment and finally an e mail telling me it had been despatched and would be with me in 1-2 days. I have already had people asking where I got it! A great example of internet shopping working well. My only wish would be that their shop was closer so I could have a look at their wonderful vintage furniture.

This was a nice bag, that I would have been happy to use regularly. Style-wise, it was just what I wanted. BUT----and it's a big BUT------it stank. The leather smells like dead animals----honestly. I am really disappointed, and wouldn't recommend Scaramanga to anyone, for this reason. I would rather have paid a bit more, and had something made from quality leather that didn't smell.

I first saw this satchel in May's Vogue and knew I had to own one. I was a little disappointed to find out that it was out of stock. But they e-mailed me as soon as they were back in (10 days later) and I was quick enough to get one before they were out of stock again. I absolutely love my new bag.

The bag came in just two days and arrived in a lovely silky red Scaramanga dust bag. It is well made and looks as if it will age well.
I have already had a few comments and people asking where I got it.
I can see why these bags are in such high demand.
I just hope they do not sell too many, so mine looks like a one-off!!

Trust me, you can't find this bag anywhere else. Especially for this price!I really did not think I would be able to find the exact bag I wanted: a leather satchel with a vintage or antique leather at a good price. I had seen many costing over £200 and a few for around £150. But after a short search I found Scaramanga vintage leather satchels for just under £60 for a mediu sized bag. They had so many to choose from, but I ended up going for their old school satchel sytle bag. They had some useful customer reviews on their website and half a dozen good sized images of the bags including an internal view. I had to wait twi weeks for them to come back into stock, but once ordered they were very efficient in letting me know the bag was on its way and roughly when I would receive it. Faithx

This is my second Scaramanga bag. The first was bought just over a year ago, my sister took a shine to it a Christmas and I reluctantly gave it to her. This time round I wanted a bigger bag (the first was a medium wide satchel) so I bought the large wide satchel. The style and layout is exactly the same as the othwer sizes, but it's juts a bit bigger.
I read their site reviews and ordered. Two days later it arrived. No disappointments. Great vintage looking leather, longer wider strap.
Communication with Scaramanga was good.They were out of stock for a week, but e-mailed me as soon as they were back in stock.
Five stars all round for Scaramanga. Very tempted by their vintage and retro furniture. Perhaps when I've got a bit more cash!

I have been looking for a big leather bag just like this for so long. It's fantastic. I love the space and handy pockets. It'll be ideal for my uni books, laptop and as an occasional overnight bag. I thought it might be too big, but I just shortened the strap and wear it higher up. I love the thick buckled shoulder strap and the vintage leather finish. Scaramanga seem to be the only ones selling anything like this. Great service too. The bag arrived three days after ordering it.
The only minus poinr for Scaramanga was the wait to be able to order the bag. They were meant to bre available in earlier in December. They were only available to buy on Wednesday 16th December.But to their credit they updated my regularly with e-mails and replied to my questions promptly.
Their website is super easy to get around, with clear descriptions, lots of photos, dimensions and comments from other customers.
I know it's unlikely, but I hope word about Scaramanga does not spread too far as I want to be one of the few people with a Scaramanga Overlander bag!! Amy
