I have had this pushchair for 3 years, my second son is in it now and I have had no problems with it at all. it is very roomy and comfortable for my child. I have no complaints about it at all.

“Great puschair!”

★★★★★

written by K.DMeine on 10/11/2011

Reading some of the other reviews on here I have never had any of the issues reported. I have the M&P Luna in denim, and my 2 year old loves it! She can sit up and look around, be nosey and so on. I have never had a better pushchair to be fair. As for the issues being reported like the pushchair tipping back - Who leaves their pushchair unattended let alone leaving/carrying heavy shopping on the handle bars. As with all pushchairs you should never carry too much shopping on the handle bars anyway! This is common sense. The review about the Luna collapsing with their little one in it at the same time, you do have to MOT your pushchair as often as possible. I check mine once a month to avoid any accidents. The straps are a bit short on this but I have remedied that by using my little ones walking harness on there. Other than that, there is nothing wrong with it. The handle bars are even adjustable, and this suits us as our family do have a few taller members and there is no backache or arm ache now when pushing the Luna. Not to mention no arguments as to who pushes ;o) All in all we are happy with the Mamas and Papas Luna.

“mamas and papas luna is dangerous”

★☆☆☆☆

written by rachelptt on 16/09/2011

I bought the mamas and papas luna pushchair as it seemed wide enough for my 2 year old daughter to sleep in comfortabley, we needed something for a wedding and a holiday that she could sleep in during the day, the pushchair would tip over if she threw her self back in temper or to sleep or even if i put her bag over the handle bars even with her inside. on holiday the push chair collapsed with my daughter in it as we went down a curb trapping her little finger and removing half the skin on her finger. very dangerous push chair

“IT TIPS, IT'S DANGEROUS”

★☆☆☆☆

written by jacquiesmith on 05/09/2011

As a third and final time mum, I wanted to splash out on my last pushchair and car seat for my little one. I had had a Graco travel system with my first, it was fabulous, couldn’t fault it till a wheel dropped off but by then I had had my monies worth, and bought a Maclaren Techno. What a buggy!!! Fantastic, no gripes with it. Compact and easy to push. With second baby, I had Baby Bruin from Babies R US, useless waste of time that was, I changed it again for a newer version of the same pushchair, again a waste of time, wheels knocked together and it used to stray all over the place, so I bought a Mamas and Papas second hand travel system, it was ok although very bulky. Then the wheel fell off and I couldn’t get a replacement as it was too old, (well actually, only a year or so old, but hey ho) customer services did try to find a spare wheel for me, when I got it, it didn’t fit the pushchair and I got fed up with shelling out for postage sending the wheels back. Finally I went back to my old Maclaren buggy for my first one, as I no longer needed to travel system. Still had plenty of life in it still easy to push 5 years on. Excellent So when I cam to having my last baby I thought I shall go fro a Maclaren travel system, that’s what I want. But when I went to buy it a si didn’t know what I was having I found the colours very limited and to be frank boring. I like bright colours for babies, oranges and greens, so I didn’t rush out and buy it straight away waiting in hope for a new colour nearer to when my baby was due. Unfortunately for me, I made a detour and popped into Mamas and Papas store in Solihull with my mother in law. We were both taken in with great sales techniques, and choice of fabrics available for the Lunar pushchair and being able to choose from a range of great coloured and patterned fabrics I promptly ordered the travel system. When it arrived I rushed to open it and put together, I was so disappointed that the car seat I had ordered wasn’t plain, and it had a totally different pattern on it to the one I had bought for the main pushchair. Considering every thing matches at Mamas and Papas I was very surprised that this wasn’t a consideration when selling a travel system. I ploughed on never the less. After an hour and a half and two calls to Mamas and Papas, I was pulling my hair out. They had enclosed the wrong clips for the car seat, so they didn’t fit the pram, back to Mamas and Papas and an exchange. Not happy! The new clips went on easily but when it came to taking them off I just couldn’t remove them. I was still pregnant at that point and due a Caesarean section there was no way I was going to be able to pull them off the chair when I have the baby. Even customer services admitted they could be tight. Out one night with family, a week after having the baby, I put the baby bag across the back of the handles where every other baby bag I have had in the past went and where 99.9% of other mothers put the bag! The pushchair tipped forward, it had the baby in the car seat attached to the pram and the weight of the bag, which I might add was no heavier than normal and no stuffed to gunnels, and thank god my husband saw it going and managed to grab it before it tipped over fully. By this time I had had enough, I went back to Mamas and Papas and told them what had happened. I was told there and then, but I wasn’t told this when I bought it, that they advise all their customers to put the bags in the basket underneath. I burst out laughing and stated as a third time mother, ‘I had never heard such rubbish, and how the heck was I supposed to get the bag out from under the pushchair when having had such a major operation?’ Surely a pushchair is designed to take the weight of a bag across the handles? Any way regarding the tipping of the pushchair according to the sales man, all the Mamas and Papas pushchairs are tried and spun round at very fast rates with a brick secured into the centre of the pram, it was impossible that what I was saying had happened!! My baby isn’t brick shaped, and wriggles and moves, how can a brick be a good test of a pushchair, has no one at Mamas and Papas tried the chair with a baby in it and a bag across the handles. Not happy at this point I wanted my money back, I was told that they would give me the money back for the pushchair at the discretion of the manager but not for the car seat as there wasn’t anything wrong with it. So I was left with £130 of car seat that was useless as a travel system, unless I bought another Mamas and Papas pushchair for it to fit on. I was raging by this point but what could I do, so I tested all the pushchairs that would take the car seat to see if they would tip, out of all of them with a bag across the handles only the URBO was difficult to push down on…guess what if I wanted it, I had to pay another £160 plus the cost of the previous returned pushchair £160 for the chair and the cosy toes. I really wouldn’t have been spending that kind of money if they had taken the car seat back. I like the look of the new pushchair, the URBO, but it so impractical. Do real mums try them out before they are sold on the shop floor? I have had this pushchair now just 5 month’s, I can’t wait to chuck it out. The hood to the car seat doesn’t stay up, never has done properly, I spent ages trying to get the little metal clips back it the slider which even the shop assistant couldn’t do. I have two plastic clips floating about my car, easily lost, to take the car seat as the main body of the pushchair has to be removed first, this floats around the car and the dining room waiting to be used on walks. It’s annoying why they couldn’t design it to take the car seat on top? I will never know. In fact, I was sold a car seat and a pushchair not a travel system which I originally wanted. I am so angry at being conned; I wanted a travel system and got nothing but stress and headaches. I wrote to customer services, they couldn’t give a damn! They don’t care, they have my money. I would love to try these pushchairs and prams out for Mamas and Papas and save hundreds of precious wasted hours for all the hard working mums, mums who have saved hard to buy decent items and expect a level of service from such a reputable company. All I can say is beware, buy at your peril, and don’t be taken in the sales person with the friendly grin. They only want to see how good your money looks within their tin!!.

bought the luna with carrycot for baby no 3, was good with carrycot but when used as a pram there is no support for baby withthe straps. arm straps come from bottom of pram so my baby now 5 mths who can sit up flops everywhere. took back to shop n they told me that baby has to be moe lying down n not to sit up right which my baby does not like so he will scream when i take him out untill he falls asleep.

we brought this pram as it was light weight and managble and wouldnt take my whole boot up.

i love it.. i love the fact if i get board i can change things. im not stuck to one pram!
and as for people saying its tipping over its never happened to me, and my daughter is 5 months. you shouldnt be leaving your pram with your child in it anyway... but i will say i have heard a few people saying that the wheels have fallen apart? and mama and papa didnt do anythink about it. not sure how true this is..

“Absolutely aweful pushchair. ”

written by on 20/12/2010

Absolutely aweful pushchair.
Has almost tipped more times than I can count, when my daughter was smaller and lighter (bearing in mind, she was 9lb 7oz at birth, so never that light and i didn't use it at birth, used it from 5 months) it would bounce along the pavement, front wheels bobbing up and down off of the pavement where it was so tippy !
The back of the hood is only fabric, so if it tipped she would have whacked the back of her head bloody hard !
I can't just put the break on and take my hand off of it on a bus, everytime the bus breaks, the pushchair tips !
Only positive thing i have to say is the colour (Orchid) is lovely.
I can't stand Mamas and Papas and only bought this cos it was cheap, will be sticking to my lovely Silver Cross in the future, now there's a name you can trust !

I have had the luna puchchair since last july. when my son was small i loved the fact he could lay flat in the carry cot when he was tiny and have always found the pushchair sturdy, reliable, easy to maneuver and easy to collape.
when we had had it about 10 months the right hinge broke, we rang the shop we got it from who contacted mammas and pappas. they then took the pushchair and repaired it and had it back to me within 3 weeks, we have never had a problem since. plus they cleaned it!

The hinges trapped my daughters finger when I lifted the back wheels up the kerb. It has been back to M&P twice now they replaced the bottom section the first time but the hinges still pince her skin. M&P have not made the pushchair safe and have not offered a remedy. I have reported it to trading standards now. Do not buy it, it could injure your child

written by lolmanson on 25/10/2010

please dont get me started on this pram!! most of all the costumer service i have received from mamas & papas. the front of the pram snapped it kept tipping up raincover ripped and this was all within 13weeks of using it. I took it back the liverpool store they sent it to be repaired on the 8th sept still not got it back. been on the phone 5 times askin what is happening with it- They now decide to inform me they have lost it, it has completely vanished no record of it even being sent off mean while am left with a faulty loan pram as a replacement which i had to wait 3 weeks for it was filthy and has a faulty wheel. but there attitude is oh well when it shows up it shows up!
i'd never purchase anythin from mamas&papas again there service is awful.

i bought the luna buggy because it folded flat and it suited my needs, but i found it wasn't as easy to manouver as i thought. my complaint is that i took my son out for a walk today and the wheel fell off. I never ever thought this would happen. i was a distance away from my car and it was hard to wheel the buggy and keep pushing the wheel back on. it was not a smooth sale for my son either.

I brought the mamas and papas luna 3 weeks ago i am very unhappy with it.It has whats called a freedom harness which the only place its connected to the pushchair is round the childs waist allowing child to lean forward i found this very dangerous as my daughter like any other child likes to lean forward and on numberous of occasions i've had to catch her to stop her actually falling out the pushchair.I will never buy another mamas and papas as they weren't even interested when contacted all they could say was tighten the strap around childs waist err yeah like thats gonna help i thought but benefit of the doubt i gave it a try and guess what it made no difference........
