Written on: 12/02/2007 by shipley (1 review written)

I would recommend Brewers Fayre to my friends and family and we will visit again. It makes a change to go somewhere and have good service with good food and the kids are kept entertained as well. Toilets are also a very high standard… Read Full Review

Written on: 28/09/2006 by Sandra2 (1 review written)

Staying at the adjacent Travel Inn, Friday and Saturday night (22 & 23/09/06) we numbered five for breakfast at Brewers Fayre. Only scrambled eggs were available - I take it this was a training problem as a 24 hr Tesco next door could have supplied eggs. After exchanging two unclean knives with other settings, we had an average meal. Next morning (9.30am) we were only allowed to order after appealing to the manager, who apologised and said we were not listed as we had unusually stayed two… Read Full Review

Written on: 20/08/2006 by louise king (1 review written)

We used the devils dyke Brewers Fayre on our way back from a day out and were extremely disappointed with our meals. On the Wednesday we travelled down to Salisbury for a few days out end stayed in a travel lodge with a brewers fayre attached called the bishops down, we eat our breakfast and our evening meals and to be honest there was no comparison. The service was fantastic, my daughter went for the sausage and mash again and received two sausages a nice dollop of mash a crispy Yorkshire… Read Full Review

Written on: 08/08/2006 by Emily C (61 reviews written)

When I come back from University, my friends and I always choose the Brewers Fayre at Ashton Moss as a place to meet. The food is really nice and they have a wide range of different meals to suit individual palates. It is reasonably priced and the staff, which have waited on us, are always pleasant and helpful and sometimes have a joke with us because at certain times of the year when we are all back we become regulars! It's also great to come in for a drink as they have an area specifically… Read Full Review

Written on: 31/07/2006 by Adamreviewer (11 reviews written)

All that chain restaurants like Brewers Fayre are interested in is money; nothing else, and it no longer matters if the quality of the food is abysmal, because no-one ever complains anymore.
My experiences of Brewers Fayres has been a mixed bag. Some have been excellent, yet most have been rather disappointing.
The food is merely average and very overpriced, and isn't fresh; you can immediately tell the food is pre-packed.

Overall, average - disappointing… Read Full Review

Written on: 28/05/2006 by max fairhurst (1 review written)

When we went to order our food at the Bowling Green Brewers Fayre in Charnock Richard, the food ordering counter was closed. We had to queue at the bar, which was about seven people deep, and some people were only waiting for a drink. I would expect Saturday evening to be one of the busiest days, so I did not understand why there were not enough staff on duty… Read Full Review

Written on: 16/05/2006 by evs (1 review written)

Apart from the last and final visit to the Brewers Fayre in Alresford, the standard is such that it would encourage you to return, but regarding our visit on a Tuesday afternoon 9/5/06 to the premises (just off the double roundabout) having received lousy service, we did not even get a chance to order.
They may have been temporary staff, so maybe later in the year they will have got back to their usual good standards… Read Full Review

The Orbital Brewers Fayre is the best pub/restaurant I've ever been to. There is something for everyone, with or without kids, or on your own, for business meetings, for meeting friends, and they have a nice selection of drinks and excellent food at a reasonable price… Read Full Review

Huw Evans's Response to 241048_Samski's Review

Written on: 27/07/2006

You really must get out more. I say this as a parent to two young small people. Brewers Fayre may be child friendly but the food is dross and adults can expect nothing more than convenience cooked food. I feel for you if you really feel that a Brewers Fayre is the "best restaurant you've been to". Next you'll be extolling the virtues of McDonalds. Poor soul.

I eat at Brewers Fayre with family and friends on a regular basis, always know what your going to get and don't have to dress up and sit to their etiquettes. Also with them having a printable pdf voucher on their web site for £5 makes it even more enjoyable, very pleasant to eat and some fantastic evening set menus… Read Full Review

We booked a Christmas gathering for 20 ladies at The Cedar Tree Brewers Fayre in Nuneaton (as we had done the previous year with great success) but this time I do not know what has happened as everything which could possibly go wrong DID go wrong.
The restaurant had asked for a complete list of meals required to be handed in 3 weeks before so that food could be ordered in correct quantities, on arrival for our meal we were told that the meal list had been LOST and so we had to make our choices… Read Full Review

Written on: 25/09/2005 by tanya1 (1 review written)

We arrived at he White Hart in Colchester for my birthday meal with family, which consisted of my fiance, two children aged under five and myself. The restaurant was not busy, as we arrived early in the evening. The waitress took our order and the food arrived within twenty minutes. My meal was unacceptable, as the mashed potato was dry as a bone, and frankly inedible. I complained when the plates were collected, and was offered a free dessert by way of an apology. We then waited for half an… Read Full Review

We visited the Woodend Inn, Huthwaite,on 7 August 05, where my daughter ran into a poorly placed cross bar on play area equipment - injuring her nose and receiving a large blow to the head. Please do something about this play equipment before someone else has an accident. Letter of complaint sent to Woodend Inn and Head Office… Read Full Review

A Friend and I visited Brewers Fayre Hornbeam Park Harrogate North Yorkshire this lunch time. On leaving the Restaurant via the accessible means as I have a Wheelchair. I was SOAKED!! On passing the back entrance to the kitchen with a fence round, WATER was thrown over the fence. It startled me and I opened the gate and shouted that I was displeased - A nice lunch time meal was ruined, PLEASE MENTION THIS TO THE STAFF INVOLED AS A SORRY WOULD HAVE BEEN NICE... but too busy smoking their FAGS!!! One disappointed Lady. I await your reply

Written on: 05/08/2005 by glynis46 (1 review written)

I went with my husband to The Honourable Pilot at Gillingham, Kent for a meal. In the past we have not been very impressed with both the meal and the service but thought we would give it another chance. My husband ordered the Lamb and Rosemary suet pudding, described as succulent tender lamb. When it arrived the suet pastry wasn't very nice and the lamb tough and gristly, and more gravy than meat. When he complained it was changed for tender chicken breast, when that arrived it was dry and… Read Full Review

Last Sunday I went for a family meal at the new Rising Sun restaurant which is a Brewers Fayre which is situated near the business parks in Watford. I walked in and was greeted immediately by a very friendly young girl, gemma. I was seated and then offered drinks. everything went smoothly. I then had to go up to the bar to order my meal, not too bad as the till operators were very helpful and mine and my wifes meal arrived very quickly. We had the cottage pie and my wife had a roast beef in a… Read Full Review

Written on: 08/02/2004 by Gaynor (1 review written)

We stopped at the Brewers Fayre in Shutleworth Bury on Saturday for lunch. The restaurant was over half full as there was a 50th wedding anniversary party dinning there. I thought it might be a bad idea eating here when I saw the 40ish people arriving at the same time, but actually from ordering food for my 2 children and myself we waited about only 10 minutes.
The staff, though maybe unusually busier than normal for a country-type pub, were friendly and professional (even asking if everything… Read Full Review
