“AWFUL!”

7 weeks I ordered two bed side cabinets. I am still waiting to receive theorder.The company have not once contacte me to explain why my order has taken so long. After numerous e mails and phone calls I was informed that they had received my items but they were damaged. After reading other reviews I do not believe this. On each occasion I was spoken to rudely and was patronised by all staff. When I asked why there has not been any attempt made to contact me the member of staff replied 'i dont know!' that was it! My items are 5 weeks late and I still have no idea when I will receive them. I am going to cancel my order.

“Terrible Company and Not to be trusted!!”

I can irritate the majority of other comments; 1. Tables are over a couple of weeks late to arrive and when I phoned for more information as I had not been contacted by the company. They told me they have been damaged and sent back. 2. Customer servive; this has been terrible I have been spoken to on the phone rudely and was patronised all the way through a conversation with one of their employees. 3. Cancelled Order; I cancelled the order and asked for confirmation to be emailed to myself having read other reviews and the amount of time it had taken other people to get their refund. I am still waiting for this and the refund. I would not recommend that anyone uses this company as my experience has been horrific and is still ongoing 7 weeks later.

“INTOLERABLE SERVICE”

To start Frances Hunt seem to look like an established company through it's website pages. There is a sufficient amount of product photography and spec details to get you interested in buying these products. With good faith I purchased a coffee table with a delivery waiting time of 2/3 weeks. Money went out of my account but I didn't hear from Frances Hunt until I called on the 3rd week. I was told it would be delivered at the weekend in the morning. A delivery came in the morning but just not what i ordered. I received a dinning room table instead of a coffee table. (Very obvious from the size of the package this is not right) I called Customer Service but was confronted by a moody staff who wouldn't give his name and refused there was a mistake with the delivery! He insulted my intelligence by saying the delivery was correct and told me to assemble the product to see! Look, my profession is in design and I don't think you even need to be in design to see that this package was not a coffee table but a large dinning table. There was even a illustration of the dinning table to tell me that this was not my coffee table. I even took a photo to confirm this. After many calls and Frances Hunt checking their data, they still have not apologized or even told me when I will get my coffee table! What am I to do with their insufficient customer care or getting orders right?? I have now brought a small coffee table from Habitat and waiting for Frances Hunt to respond.

“Horrendous !!”

Ordered a dressing table online, was still waiting for delivery 7 weeks on, with no customer service telephone calls and numerous calls made by me to there customer services only to be put on hold for ages then offered no help at all and no calls back to explain, item came into stock but was damaged so i had to cancel as would have had to wait a further 2 weeks. Ended up cancelling order and still waiting 2 weeks after cancelling for refund, more telephone calls by me to there customer services

Exactly the same has happened to me! I have been waiting 7 weeks for my order and they have told me, after I have emailed three times and been ignored, and I have rang twice that the item was damaged.I was then informed I would have to wait two more weeks!!

I agree, there is no customer service with this company. Frances Hunt should not be aloud to set themselves as an internet furniture company, they just do not have the skills to run a delivery or how to communicate with their customers. I'm still waiting for my coffee table after a month and was blamed by their staff for the wrong order!!!

“terms and conditions”

Be careful - they state delivery times which are inaccurate, my order went from 'may be 14 days' to 'another 4 weeks' and I only found out when I chased them after 3 weeks. When you ask for your money back you get told that it will take 21 days 'as per their terms and conditions'. An absolute disgrace. Their customer service is awful.

“Required Admin but would use again”

Very happy with initial order was told as I hadn't moved into property yet they would get bed into their local warehouse and store it until I was ready. Paid the extra £25 for Saturday delivery and on the Friday given the drivers mobile number to call and check time. I called at 8.30am on the Saturday to be told by the driver they had been at the property at 8am no one answered so they'd left a note and gone. They did not call my contact number, I had not moved into the property but was staying down the road 2 mins away. Post the invention of the mobile phone I expect a call from the driver 30 mins before they arrive, standard for all other companies I have used. Took delivery of the bed on Monday evening at some inconvenience having to leave work early. Frances Hunt refunded the £25 Saturday delivery charge without question. One of the castor holes isn't drilled properly so I have to use a small wooden block to balance one of the corners but not worth the hassle of getting a replacement bed. I would use again but would be clear with the delivery time.

“do not use”

ordered wardrobes and paid for "white glove service"- delivery men turned up at 1930hhrs- they did take the packaging after badly handling my furniture= they did not bolt units together because they said they had "more deliveries to do" also 2 x wardrobes arrived with no mirrors- i found customer service disgusting they never contact you when they say they would= you have to contact them all the time-

“Never reviewed before but SO bad DO NOT use”

I ordered a hall table over 7 weeks ago - they took the full money out the next day. No contact from them in that time I emailed to chase my delivery only to be told the table was discontinued ! I had been looking a very long time for the right one and in the meantime not purchased potential other tables as I thought it was on the way. I rang today for a refund I cannot believe they took the money and then did not refund once they knew (within days) I wonder how long they would of kept my money for? I will see if it is back in the back within the three days they said it would be. I have never felt the need to write a review before but if you use this company USE with caution I buy from the web a lot and never had such terrible service.

“Shocking customer services-Employees are abusing”

We placed 2 orders with them. Don't know now anymore as to why we did it, of course we should have realised after our first order it is a mistake to order from them. First we ordered a bed, which arrived eventually with a slight delay. We ordered including assembly service and when the guys did assamble it, they immediatelly found something is wrong with it. They told us that the manufacturer customer service will be in touch. 1 week after nothing. After 2 weeks chasing every day still nothing. On the 3 week of chasing the bed broke down. Another week chasing with Mark one of customer care guys, might even be the owner, still no good news. Finally gave it up and asked for pick up and refund. At this call he then told us the supplier has now a replacement for the week after. I said sorry but too much is too much and we already ordered another bed. They guys come to pick up the bed, tell my wife we don't take assambled products. Long fight, she calls Mark and the guys abuse her but take the bed. Then they say whoever build the bed together did a rubbish job and they are not there to pick up other people's mistakes - My wife (8month pregnant by the way) said yes but it were the frances hunt guys who assambled the bed. They left a lot of rubbish behind were very unfriendly and left. Money was eventually refunded. Second order we ordered straight forward chairs. Nothing much with a 2 weeks delivery slot. After 2 weeks we call when the chairs will come. Answer they are out with the supplier has nobody called you? We asked when it will be in stock again and they took 2 days to find this out. We now agreed to wait for another 2 weeks, but with their shocking service I am not convinced it will happen then. Already looking for replacements.

“Best deal I've ever made”

I am writing this review on behalf of my 81 year old mother and her partner. They are really delighted with the four door sideboard and it is very nearly the same as their corner unit, only the handles differ slightly. Delighted as they thought that teak furniture would be hard to get, thanks for the good service also.

“Efficient and Speedy Delivery”

The drop-leaf table is a good size to accommodate up to four diners, if necessary. The honey-coloured top is good quality and the pedestal is painted a lovely shade of buttermilk. The table and matching chairs are sturdy and look good. I chose express delivery and, in just under a week, I received a telephone call from the manufacturers to arrange delivery. Within two days I had received the items, which were very well packaged. When I got somebody in to assemble the items, all the fixings were there, which is not always the case with self-assembly items. I am very pleased with this product. I did telephone Frances Hunt before purchase to ensure that the chairs were sturdy, as it did not say this in the description.

“bath metal bed frame”

after searching extensively for a black metal bed frame with a low foot end, i finally came across the bath metal bed frame on the frances hunt website. our room is quite small and i need top be able to sit on the end of the bed! i called customer services who were extremely helpful and following that conversation i placed my order...it arrived the next day!!! i couldn't be happier with it. its good quality and looks fantastic...very,very pleased. will definitely use frances hunt again and would happily recommend them.

“Disgusted, very bad service”

Ordered the frame off website, 3 weeks later had a call arranging time and date of delivery, on the day of delivery I managed on my own to shift divan bed and get bedroom ready for new bedframe. by 3.30 pm I decided to phone Frances Hunt and ask them for an estimeatd time so that I could go to shop, I was told that no record for delivery was logged, when explained that my husband took a phone call from a lady on the Wednesday arranging delivery for Friday the lady speaker said she was the only one that made these phone calls and she definitely did not make any call. I told her that my phone logged all incoming/outcoming calls and their number was logged on my phone at 2.20pm on the Wednesday before. After speaking to the Manager he said that their supplyers had made the call and not to worry as he had spoken to them and the frame would still be delivered by special courier anytime up to 7pm. No frame arrived, I had to struggle to bring back original bed which was slightly damp from being outside in the rain. I complained on Saturday and spoke to a different man and cancelled order. He was very apologetic and promised that the person I spoke too the day before was Mark and he would ask Mark to phone me back first thing on Monday morning. I ended up phoning the shop again, spoke to Mark who had a problem remembering at first about the converstaion we had on the previous Friday, so it was very clear the man I spoke to on Saturday had not spoken to him about my complaint. I also told the man on Saturday that both my husband and I are pensioners and that my husband was a stroke victim and that I suffered with arthritis, he said if I had explained that to Mark he would have got one of their own drivers to bring the bedframe out to me, do I realy have to use our medical complaints to get decent service. Yes they were very polite but spoke with a false tongue.

“Nice people let down by a really bad supply chain and...”

From the great quality of the website and the great reviews (I did a lot of research) I really thought things would run smoothly. But it has been terrible. My experience has put me off buying furniture online totally. I ordered a wardrobe and chest of drawers. The email confirmation was prompt but there was a complete lack of contact between then and when I suddenly got a phone call to arrange delivery (4 weeks). They did manage to organise a Saturday delivery which was great but then the wardrobe was damaged in the van and I refused to take delivery of it and the chest of drawers. No problem, I was told. It would be re-ordered and re-delivered. I AM STILL WAITING 6 WEEKS LATER. I have phoned constantly over the last 2-3 weeks to chase. EVERY time I come away with no further progress. EVERY time someone says they will call me back....this has only happened once. During one phone call I even agreed to be put on hold for a long time while they checked with their suppliers (again!) rather than have someone "promise to call me back". Now I have a "provisional" booking for Saturday because apparently there is STILL one part of the wardrobe that isn't in the warehouse yet. It has now been over 2 months since I first placed my order. I would not recommend them to anyone.

“Fantastic fully assembled wardrobe from helpful and...”

I did a lot of research before purchasing from Frances Hunt. I wanted a fully assembled wardrobe for my son's bedroom. I had found others but independent review sites made me very nervous. However, all the reviews I found for Frances Hunt were very positive. Being a teacher, I asked for delivery during half term. Admittedly, this did tie in with their delivery estimate of 4 weeks. However, the wardrobe arrived on time and is very good value for money. The driver was superb at instructing my husband on furniture removals as between them they put the wardrobe in to the correct room upstairs! The delivery man arrived when he said he would and was only in the house a few minutes. One or two bits of advice: I hadn't heard anything since the original order confirmation email so the week before half term, I sent an email to which I got a swift reply advising me of delivery and the promise of a phone call to confirm the next day - which I got. I do wonder what would have happened if I hadn't sent the email but I'll never know! Also, the telephone message gave the delivery man's mobile number and the implication was we could ring him on the morning of delivery to find out what time he would arrive. However, when we phoned him mid-morning, it was clear we should actually have rung him first thing to arrange a time - it was a necessity to ring not a choice! But it didn't cause a problem - may have done if we didn't ring at all! Finally, I wasn't warned someone would need to be there to assist the driver - if I had been in on my own or had to rely on a neighbour to let him in it could have been interesting! My husband was definitely needed to get the wardrobe upstairs. But would definitely recommend Frances Hunt and would definitely use again. The wardrobe itself is very sturdy and lives up to, in fact surpasses, expectations gained from the website. Thank you Frances Hunt

“Lies, Lies and more Lies”

this has been one of the worst experience I have ever had. have ordered a kids bed 3 weeks in advance, then been told on delivery day that the bed is still in the warehouse, then someone told the wrong one was delivered but then somenone said it was damaged. was promised next day delivery - nothing. was promised next day delivery - nothing and so the story goes on. Everyday a different excuse, depending who you ask. Noone has ever called me. I always had to call. 4 days on from promised delivery date and my daughter still sleeps on the floor. I will never buy from them again.
