I purchased two Jali drum chests at a very reasonable price from House of Bath, both arrived in perfect condition three days earlier than the stated delivery time.Its a shame that most of the reviews within this website are negative as I'm sure there are many satisfied customers that haven't bothered to take the time to share their opinion with other prospective customers. In my opinion I have received a first class service from this company and wouldn't hesitate to purchase from them in the future

I ordered ladies Regatta snow boots which arrived in terrible condition, black and moldy. Contacted House of bath and courier came to pick up the boots next day and I was sent new pair within couple of day, very good customer service. Boots were great lightweight and very warm in the snow.

“TWO OUT OF THREE NOT WORKING - NO REPAYMENT!!”

One star given, as at least the three Window Christmas Candelabra arrived at our home. Each of these items cost £17 plus. One of the candelabra worked, however it was obvious that they were cheap Chinese tat - not worth £5 each. The other two items were so poorly constructed that one never lit, and the other rarely when held with insulation tape as the wiring was faulty. Cost incurred over £50. I e mailed several times and received a standard message that they would get on to me within a said time. Did I ever hear from them? No! That's the way they operate. They sell rubbish and don't honour consumer rights. DONT USE THE COMPANY AT ALL. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED. If only I had read the reviews myself.

“Worst service ever experienced”

Ordered an Xmas present from the catalogue early December 2014. It was delivered by Hermes, smashed to bits. Called House Of Bath to arrange collection. No collection made. Phoned the next day to chase up, Hermes eventually collected the following day, 3 days after initial delivery. Called House of Bath to arrange a replacement to be sent out, but they advised they cannot do this until they have received the returned item and processed my refund. I was very confused by this, and explained this was a Xmas present which would not be delivered in time now. They advised it can take up to 14 days to process a refund. They also advised there was no tracking function on returned items, so I decided not to order the replacement until the refund had been received. On the 8th January 2015, having received no refund, I called them to see what was happening. They advised they / Hermes had lost the return item, so no refund had been processed. However, they did at this point agree to send out a replacement item, as long as I paid for it again, and they assured me they would refund the payment for the initial order within 24hrs. Feeling nervous about having any kind of dealings with them, I foolishly decided to take their word, and made another payment for the replacement item, and waited for the refund for the first order to hit my bank account. The next day, I checked my bank account to see if the refund had come through. I was HORRIFIED to see that not only had they taken the payment for the replacement item (fair enough), they had not refunded me, but charged me again - so I have now paid 3 times for one item, which was finally delivered today, in the middle of January, undamaged. I called them today to explain the situation, and they agreed they have overcharged me by debiting the payment 3 times from my account. I am awaiting a refund from them again. If you are reading this House of Bath, please be assured I am contacting Watchdog, and if I do not receive the refund promised by the end of the week, I will also be contacting the Police.

“Very poor”

My mum ordered 2 items weeks ago. One was a wallet which was supposed to have initials of my brother's name on. This was for a Christmas present which arrived in due course but without the initials on, so needless to say she was very disappointed. The other item has still not arrived and my mum had been told to expect it in the middle of January. She will never order anything from House of Bath again.

House of Bath!!! A catalogue in a magazine... lovely looking items at prices seeming reasonable (especially with 10% new customer discount). I ordered online on 8th Nov. I chose 6 items. I received 6 emails saying thanks for each item! I received 4 emails with pin numbers. I received 2 emails on 12 Nov saying parcels 1 & 2 had been despatched to the collection point. On 13 Nov I received an email saying parcel 3 had been despatched to the collection point. I received a text to say parcel 3 was ready for collection. I went to collect parcel 3. ONLY parcel 3! Nothing else for me. At home I checked online to find that parcels 1 & 2 had been returned to the depot! I used online chat and was told she didn't have that on her screen and could I call the delivery company (Hermes) in the morning. The delivery company only takes calls from the sender. Back on online chat. "SORRY... your parcels were returned! Would you like to order them again?" WHAT??? I order something and it doesn't get to me, no email, no text, no courtesy phone call, but as I wish to check why it hasn't arrived and contact them, they tell me it has been returned! AND... they want me to PAY for it again???!!! SERIOUSLY??? I spoke to somebody higher and had no explanation. Parcel 4 is still somewhere in transit (14 Nov). I have been told I will get a refund. If I would like the two items I originally ordered which never arrived, I need to order and pay again (before the refund of £50)! I am writing this as I would hate anyone else to have to suffer at the hands of this company. I have never dealt with a company which doesn't take responsibility for their products... let alone not deliver them and think its okay! PLEASE by all means look through the catalogue and then go on Ebay or Amazon and you will find the same (if not better) at a cheaper price!!! Would I recommend to a friend? I would recommend they never order from House of Bath and that they advise everyone else to do the same!

I disagree it's not house of bath's fault its Hermes who deliver your goods. If you read my comments on trust pilot house of bath sell quality goods. But they use Hermes to deliver parcels. Hermes are the problem why don't they use royal Mail then you would have no problems!

“Do not trust the deliver of goods”

“Not even a customer!!”

I have had a parcel delivered to my home - squeezed through the letter box even though it was too big and not for me or for this address as I have never dealt with this company. Having called them and asked for the parcel to be collected - call cost 10p + per minute as I have a mobile - guess what the parcel is still here days later!! I think they owe me an apology at least, reimbursement for the phone call - I think not - what should I do with this parcel - bin it I think!!

They do not deserve a star at all. They take your money even when the goods are not in stock then send you a letter telling you they aren't in stock. Are making a profit on your money by keeping it before they refund you. When you ring up is 0871 number god only knows how much that costs are MAKING MONEY by by false representation!!!!

I ordered two pairs of therapy shoes, was not told that they did not have them in stock until I got emails telling me I was being sent something completely different in different colours, when I rang to ask why. I was told it was because the items were out of stock and they probably weren't being replaced so they thought they'd send me the other colours as a replacement. I pointed out that if I paid for oranges I didn't expect bananas in their place - Be advised Don't use them, they are useless.

I ordered an item of furniture on behalf of my parents, who live 250 miles away from me, requesting that it be delivered directly to them. When it didn't arrive I telephoned H of B to chase it up to be told they had received it back as delivery had been refused.Not surprising as they had sent it to the wrong flat number.(H of B hadn't bothered to inform me there was a problem.) I went through the correct delivery address twice on the phone, spelling it out and confirming the details. It was delivered almost a week later to the wrong address again - mine - 250 miles away ! It is presently taking up space in my house until I visit my parents and deliver it myself. I won't be ordering from them again.....

Without any doubt the worst online shopping experience of my life. 1) you will have to wait over a month for your goods, this is a fact. I stupidly used them twice allowing benefit of the doubt for the first time. Never again. 2) they are quick to debit your account even though they know product is out of stock. 3) never ever do they let you know what is going on. 4) they will ignore every email you send them 5) I guess this can be classed as robbery if you have paid for something and it hasn't arrived. 6) the first order which I received was street market quality. You have been warned, don't use House of Barf.

“Big Letter computer keyboard.”

The attached is a copy of an e mail message sent to House Of Bath on 10th April 2014. I would suggest it explains itself. 'Message':- Excuse me for asking but do you ever reply to your incoming e mail messages. Since last Saturday I have sent you 3 emails none of which have even had a proper response, let alone an answer or comment. The first message was sent via your ’contact us’ sight, for which I did receive the usual automated response of ‘Thank you we have received your message and will answer it as soon as possible’. Which does not allow you to see your original message again, or have a copy to use again if necessary, unless you specifically either save, or print it, before sending. The second and third messages were sent on Tuesday, from this sight, as chasers for the original message. Again, up to now, neither have created any response whatsoever. I will try again to make my comments, as near as I can recall, from my first message, and hope that you will send some sort of positive response with regard to its contents. Message:- Last September my wife kindly purchased for me a large letter keyboard to use with my computer, which she gave me as a Christmas present, so it has only been in use for a little over 3 months.. The item number as far as I can work out is ‘UW765 – product code P120922. My wife’s customer No is X76198**. The label on the parcel carries a number – 2349840230 U 3708935 D-014231 , which may, or may not, be relevant. I regret to advise that, in my opinion, the item is of very poor quality. Several of the keys have already worn to the extent that I have been forced of overwrite on the keys with a marker pen to enable me to continue seeing them. I do have a sight problem which is of course the main reason for wanting a large letter keyboard. Also would comment that a number of the keys are already sticking badly, which makes it impossible for me to have any confidence in using the keyboard. I notice that the item no longer appears in your new catalogue, so there is no point in my requesting a replacement, apart from which if it were to be of the same poor quality as the keyboard I have, it would soon be useless again very quickly, for the reasons I have already stated. Because of this I have already been obliged purchased an alternative keyboard from another source, which comes with a guarantee of user life. I am therefore requesting, via this e mail, a full refund for the item mentioned here (£13.95). I will return the item in its original packaging, if you could sent me a postage paid label to enable me to send it back please. I don’t see why I should pay to return a poorly made item which I consider unsatisfactory. I thank you in anticipation of your responding positively to this message. Be assured I do have a copy of this message. 'End of message' To date I still have not received any response whatsoever again.

“Cheap and tatty”

Received a big face watch for Xmas. It looked attractive. Then it fell apart within the first month, first the strap then the pin holders for it. Am now trying to return it and get my money back. In my view poor quality goods that don't last 30 days are unsaleable and shouldn't be marketed. Feel duped and wished I'd looked at this website before I ordered. The suction hooks fall down too. The hot water bottles never materialised.

“Pay go elsewhere or be warned!”

Ordered 2 items, one still hasn't arrived 2 weeks later. The other arrived damaged, it took 20 minutes of arguing on a paid for complaints line to get a replacement sent and I had to pay again. Collection of other item was confirmed but did not happen and now the replacement has arrived also damaged. Just gritting my teeth to ring them again and have another argument. Save yourself the hassle, it is cheap stuff because the quality and service is poor, do yourself a favour and go elsewhere I wish I had!
