“EasyJet had no pilot”

★☆☆☆☆

written by Weberyv92 on 22/09/2017

On Sept. 6 2017 I was suppose to fly with EasyJet from Lyon to Gatwick. I was connecting in Gatwick to fly to Orlando Florida. This is just before everything started to shut down because of Hurricane Irma. I arrived at terminal when they opened, 5:00am. As i was checking in, the person at the check in counter informed me there was a minimum of a 4 hour delay because they had nobody to fly the plane. I let her know i had a connector in Gatwick in four hours. She instructed me to go to the service counter. I informed the person at the service counter of my situation. They informed me since my flight was delayed for more than three hours, I could file a claim and would get the cost of the ticket and up to 250 Euro for expenses. EasyJet had no other flights to Gatwick until the next morning or when a pilot showed up. She informed me BA had a flight to Heathrow in less than an hour. We ran to the terminal to catch the BA flight. When we landed, took a Taxi from Heathrow to Gatwick which cost 156.60 GBP. Arrived 3 minutes before the connecting flight check in closed. We made our connecting flight to Florida. I filled my claim with EasyJet and was rejected. So I do not know how nice the flight personnel is, I could not fly with them. I do know the people I did deal with were very nice. I was informed at the service desk it would be covered because I had a connecting flight and my flight was delayed for more the 3 hours. I also know I was denied reimbursement. EasyJet better train the people at the service counter on reimbursement and have pilots available to fly the planes if they want to stay in business. This was to be my first and only experience with EasyJet. I do not believe I will ever book another flight with EasyJet because they would not reimburse me for something that was 100% their fault. Not weather, not mechanical, just no Pilot. The last Line of my e-mail form EasyJet reads: "If you wish to take this further you should refer your complaint to CEDR Services Limited, International Dispute Resolution Centre who is approved by the Civil Aviation Authority to provide an independent review of complaints. There is a fee for using this service." I think Easy Jet already cost me enough for this simple 1 hour flight.

“Forgot meal for my child TWICE!!!”

★★☆☆☆

written by ksChilders318 on 20/06/2017

I was flying and they forgot the kids meal for my child. We complained to the staff on the flight and they wrote down our next flight and to deliver the meal but on our return trip they forgot again. The movies for kids was very small and not many movies and my tv screen kept having errors.

“Think before you book ”

★☆☆☆☆

written by on 31/01/2017

Cramped ,no facility for disable people. If you have booked connecting flight then you have to walk miles at Bombay airport, while other airline passengers were transferred by coach. One has to tip a good amount to Jet Airways porters to push the wheel chair both at Mumbai and Rajkot. No announcement made for flight delay at local airport. Struggled to find Jet Airways staff when found one (he was too busy with a stall vendor chewing his PAN) when asked why no announcement is made to tell about the delay, he replied that SMS has been sent to passengers mobile. Jet Airways/ Jet connect please think of us poor tourist might not have the full facility of mobile phones. Food both ways London, Mumbai Rajkot and return of bad quality. very bad quality, You thought AIR INDIA IS BAD, Jet Airways is same.

“Crappy Flight and attendants ”

Crappiest plane ever, rude flight attendants. I swear I will never fly with jet airways in my entire life. The plane looked so old and crammed.

“HORRENDOUS SERVICE!!! ”

★☆☆☆☆

written by ASSDUHDsdd on 18/02/2016

Never ever do an offline booking with Jet Airways, their service is slow as * * * * and no one takes responsibility for any mistakes made on their end. Recently booked a flight out of Mumbai and the sales representative made a mistake on the passenger name. I called in to request for a change and had to wait for 20+ minutes for them to check through the call records to ascertain that it was their mistake. AFTER THAT, I was told that a different dipartment is in charge of ticket changes and I was asked to call back after 24 to 48 * * **ing hours. SO, after 2 FREAKING DAYS, I made a call to these guys and I was told by this man that I have to call back again after 4 hours. Over the countless calls I've made (Call kept getting disconnected), the sales staff didn't apologize (not even once), or even show any sign of apology. So to all traveller out there who would like to book a flight offline, I strongly encourage you to seek a better alternative, to save you time and avoid any unneccesary inconvinience

“Using jet privilage miles for travel and baggage allowance”

★☆☆☆☆

written by on 30/12/2015

Customer service is very poor, no one has any authority to do any thing except read rules. They keep transferring from one dept. to another. Baggage allowance of 15kg for international traveler is grossly inadequate, when you are allowed 30 kg and two bags from overseas. Jet airlines could verify your international status and adjust this weight restriction. Otherwise this airline is comparable to international standards.

“Terrible - NEVER AGAIN!! ”

★☆☆☆☆

written by kiptaky on 14/12/2015

Miserable, Poe-faced staff. Booked return Delhi to Pune. Was 4 kgs over Delhi to Pune, was happy to pay for excess but couldn't do on-line due to their site not working. The lady check-in very smiley, very nice said it wasn't a problem as my hand luggage was light. On return flight booked extra 10kg bag (2,800 rps) - different story at Pune. The 10kg bag was 11kg (difficult to guess weight unless you carry a scales!!) my main bag 4 kgs over - light hand luggage which "doesn't count" wasn't allowed to transfer 5 kgs into hand luggage as it had already been sealed. So was changed 1,750 rps for every single scrap of luggage despite my handbag weighing approx 1 kg!!!!!! The woman check-in clearly hates her job and people (or maybe it's just foreign women) she didn't even crack a smile which is not good for check-in staff which are the 'face' of Jet Airwsys. On the flight there were numerous (Indian males) with 2 suitcases (how does that work when you're only allowed one 7kg bag???). I have put this down to the mood the check-in staff is in and what your face looks like!!! Not very professional!! Would always recommend Air India as their internal flights allow 23kgs. Even the SpiceJet and Indigo cheapie flights are better than JET., When I flew with Indigo he suggested I transfer 2 kgs to my hand luggage!! I will never book Jet internationally (not impressed when I flew to Mumbai last year) or internally again. Would rather fly with any other airline as staff are much more pleasant and not racist!

Kiptaky's Response to kiptaky's Review

Written on: 14/12/2015

I really don't understand why I couldn't merge my hand luggage allowance and why other Economy passengers clearly had too much hand luggage !!! Racist . Excess 2,800 rps (online) 1,750 rps at airport !!! Almost the cost of a one way ticket!! Air India EVERY TIME :-)

“Worst Airline; Never Travel and Never Trust this Airline”

★☆☆☆☆

written by AlyviaCooley on 08/09/2015

Recently In June 2015 I had travelled by MUMBAI-London flight of this airline. My main carrier was American Airlines and one leg of Jouney in my return flight to Houston USA was from Mumbai. We had booked ticket In March 2015 and had verified from AA as well as from JET Airways that I can travel with 2 free check-in bags. Their website never worked whenever I tried to log on. ON phone we had verified from Jet airways that yes 2 bags are allowed. On 23rd June when I reached Mumbai Airport, in spite of trying whole day to check-in on line, I could not as their website was not working. Any way at Mumbai counter, I was told that I cannot carry 2 check in bags. Only one only and I will have to pay $60 to carry 2nd bag. They ill-treated me at midnight and I was travelling alone (I am senior citizen; 70 years and that day I was not well too). I pleaded them and told that AA is main carrier and we had verified at the time of booking tickets. Also sometime in May My son-in-law had checked JET Airways and found that 2 bags permitted on their websight for this flight. Their staff was not courteousat all; they threatened me that I wount be able to travel and even if I travelled, it can be with one bag and made me stand aside for 1 hour. It was absolutely unfair and unjust to harass me at last moment while catching the flight. I took up the matter with them after I returned to Houston. When I complained to them they were asking me give time, date and name of the person who told me of 2 bags allowance. I said I don't know the name of the person, but told them approximate date. I told them that when their website is not working what alternative one has but to try phone. Now you are asking that we should have recorded conversation. I told them that baggage information should have been available at the time of ticket booking. We had not booked ticket directly from them. AA was our main carrier and they had authorized this JET flight Mumbai-London. You can imagine what kind of their service is and their truthfulness. I have heard that in Jet-Airways DAwood is major share-holder; so you can guess how they are?

“Terrible Customer Service and Poor Baggage Handling”

★☆☆☆☆

written by rkishore on 24/07/2015

I used this airlines to fly to India for my wedding last year, on my return journey, I found that my new hard top suitcase that was checked in was broken (a big crack running along the top of the suitcase), I immediately took it to the counter at the airport to complain. They took down my details for someone else to contact me to arrange for a replacement as they did not have any in stock. I had to complain and follow up several times over several months and finally they agreed to pay 50% of the money only due to wear and tear of the suitcase. my appeals that it was a new suitcase fell on deaf years. I had to wait for another month to get a cheque for the amount, however when I sent it to the bank for processing, the cheque bounced. I had to send further emails and complaints, but have received no response so far. It is a year now since my flight and I am still waiting for an answer. I would highly recommend not to use them unless you have no choice.

“Beware of Jet Airways !!!”

★☆☆☆☆

written by hongnnguyen on 31/03/2015

I booked two round trips from Los Angeles California to Brussels Belgium with one stop in Toronto Canada and another round trip from Orlando Florida to Brussels Belgium with one stop in Toronto Canada. The flight from Los Angeles and Orlando to Torondo is handled by Air Canada and, the flight from Toronto to Brussels is handled by Jet Airways. We suppose to meet in Toronto to board the same Jet Airways flight to Brussels . On the Expedia website, eventhough there is a display "Important: Traveler names must match your govemment-issued photo ID exactly", only First and Last Name are marked as required information, thus I entered all travelers first and last names matched exactly as in our passports. Thinking adding the middle names is a good practice and even though it is not required, I emailed and asked Expedia to include our middle names to the booking document. Expedia informed me to call the airlines dirrectly to add our middle names. I called Air Canada and the lady told me the middle names are not required and she can add them as I want. With my desire, she added our middle names without problem. I, then, called Jet Airways. After a long wait for my call to be answered , I was told to tell Expedia to contact Jet Airways to do the task. Expedia contacted Jet Airways and told me Jet Airways want to charge 100 dollars per passenger and our flights need to be rebooked with the increasing new fares to add the middle names. After getting the adding middle names solution from Jet Airways through Expedia, I searched the web and found many people have boarded Jet Airways without middle names with no problem I also emailed TSA-ContactCenter about middle names missing and was pointed to the TSA website http://www.tsa.gov/traveler-information/acceptable-ids . I, then, called Jet Airways to ask if we can board Jet Airways flights without our middle names. Instead of giving the answer, the lady at Jet Airways told me to call Expedia to add the middle names with 300 dollars penalty and the different price to rebooking the flights. With that information, I called Expedia again. After verifying our middle names has been added by Air Canada and contacting Jet Airways, the lady at Expedia search for our new flights and told me we are no longer able to fight from Toronto to Belgium together eventhough we must pay extra hundred dollars. However, with my agreement, the lady at Expedia could not change our flights and she ask me to hold for her supervisor. After a long wait for the Expedia supervisor to call Jet Airways, he told me Jet Airways was closed for the day and Expedia will try to do the task in the next couple days and ask me to wait 72 hours for the email from Expedia. He also advice me two choices: trashing the Jet Airways tickets or trying to board Jet Airways flights with our own risk. After waiting for 2 days, I received the email from Expedia that Jet Airways is closed for the weekend on Thursday. I have waited until Monday to contact Expedia again and was told the middle names can not be added for Jet Airways flights. I called Jet Airways again and the lady, this time, told me that we can not board Jet Airways planes without our middle names added. I told her Expedia was not able to add the middle names for us even with 300 dollars penalty and the increased fares for rebooking the flights. She told me she can not do anything for us since she is working at different department from the one that Expedia can reach to resolve the problem. She also mentioned Jet Airways does not have name changing policy. With that information, I called Expedia again to ask for whatever refund amount we can have if we cancel the Jet Airways flights. Expedia told me the refund, if permitted, is no use since Jet Airways will only allow that credit to be used by the same names i.e. our names without the middle names. Feeling robed by Jet Airways, I searched the Web again and found out Jet Airways review are low from customers and there were victims like me in past in the reviews. I wish had read these reviews before booking our flights even though I had had very good trust in Expedia. Our genders, birthdays, address, credit card were required in addition to our first and last names when I booked the flights. Jet Airways neither wants to verify the passengers' IDs nor provide any solution. Jet Airways simply chooses to take our money without providing the service. I hope there are some simple solutions such as a non-confusing name requirement instruction from Expedia and passengers' IDs verification for confusions or mistakes from Jet Airways to end this tragic incident.

“international transfer”

★★☆☆☆

written by on 06/02/2015

Our travel agent booked Jet airways for our return journey from Singapore to UK. We had an international transfer at New Delhi. The food was tepid , a breakfast, there were very few drinks offered on a 6hr flight. My husband's screen wasn't working so although it was re-booted it still wasn't working so he was unable to watch any programmes even though the selection was poor The steward couldn't care less. The worse thing on this flight was the state of the toilets, urine all over the seat. It was disgusting!! We arrived at ND only to be put through the security again even though we had just alighted a plane, it took forever. Then we were hurried up because the next plane was waiting for us. we felt as if it was our fault, very stressful. At least it waited for us. The service was better on the next flight although the food wasn't very good, hardly any drinks were brought round. we had to ask if we wanted one. Both my & I had funny tummies at the end of the day. I certainly will not use this airline again. We had superb service with Singapore airlines. This was from one extreme to another.

“Good flights both ways”

★★★★☆

written by Katiejean on 01/12/2014

We have just flown from LHR to Delhi and back. After reading some reviews we had concerns. These were unfounded. The flights were on time, seats comfortable, large selection on entertainment, complimentary drinks, food was satisfactory, better than some and the staff very attentive and helpful. I hope this puts some travellers minds at rest.

“Fantastic!!”

★★★★★

written by Pepper1962 on 19/08/2014

We flew with Jet-airways 28th August. 2014, we had heard really bad reports. We had a great flight from LHR to Mumbai, then on to Singapore, the cabin crew we very polite and very helpful, plenty of drinks, food was very good, but did get a bit fed up with curry 3 times in one day!!! The flights were on time, aircrafts were very clean and we had plenty of leg room as pre booked seats ( at no extra cost!!) would fly with Jet airways again and will recommend!!

“You rate airline favourably when it stands by you and...”

★☆☆☆☆

written by on 18/07/2014

You rate airline favourably when it stands by you and does every thing in its power when things go "Pear shaped", Quite opposite with Jet! Was flying out with Jet on 19th Feb., when I arrived at airport was informed that due to tech reasons flight had been cancelled(crap Air planes!), and I had been rebooked on the earliest availability on 23Feb. I was offered no rerouting on another airline, no accommodation, no compensation, not even a telephone call home to seek help and not even a bottle of water, Actually they said I should be grateful they were offering me an option after 4 days at such busy time. Thank you Jet! Was stuck in Mumbai for additional four days with all costs to be paid. I made numerous complaints and the response was not any response(Just ignore !), Made numerous calls and was kept holding on phone for 30minutes at a time and then they would hang up!

“Very snobbish employees and less sitting space”

★☆☆☆☆

written by 6Robb on 17/05/2014

The employees are not at all friendly, nor service oriented. They are worse than the typical Govt. employees. And yes, they are so snobbish, that most of them behave as though they are some big shot person, doing a small condescending favour to you and that you are a beggar. They treat you worse than a beggar. Secondly, the sitting space is literally cramped with most flights having no inflight entertainment system. The food is pathetic. However, the leg space is so small, that for any person who is 5'9"and above, their knees will rub the back of the seat in front of you and make you uncomfortable like hell.

“Charging in excess of quoted price”

★☆☆☆☆

written by JetAirwaysUnhappyCustomer on 13/03/2014

I booked 2 flights with Jet airways in Canada for a travel portion India. They quoted me a price in Canadian dollars, they sent me a receipt in Canadian dollars however when I looked at my statement, they charged me in USD which resulted in the ticket costing approx. $45 more. I complained tot he airline, they sent my request to Guest Relations, (This was in January) I never heard from their Guest Relations department. I disputed the charges through my credit card company. It's interesting how they warn you while making the booking on the phone, that we will charge you the quoted amount, but we are not responsible if your credit card charges you more. I have never seen my credit card ever adding extra charges to any transactions I have made. Then last week I made another booking, this time I specifically mentioned to the agent, make sure you only charge me in Canadian dollars, I got an SMS it was charged the correct amount, however when I got my statement again, same situation. I will just dispute it through my credit card company. I am not going to waste my time with them. I suggest every one look at your credit card statements and make sure you are not being over-charged.

“Mockery of the Refund for cancelled flight.”

★☆☆☆☆

written by chauhany on 21/02/2014

My wife and son had a ticket from London (Heathrow) - Delhi -Chandigarh. The flight from Delhi to Chandigarh was cancelled due to low visibility in Chandigarh. Today Jet Airways refunded £1.40 each for the 2 tickets, for the Delhi-Chandigarh Flight. What a Shame. Apart from this follwing is what I have experienced: 1. No Cusatomer Service. 2. Rude/Bully Check-In staff at Dewlhi Airport. 3. Painfully small portions of food served in flight. Was hungry throughout. 4. Call center is in India and the reps have that 'I-Don't-really-Care' attitude. All they do is apologise just because they are told to do so. They don't really mean it. Most of them don't even know the number or the contact details of their guest relations department. All in all, its a pathetic airlines that has no consideration about the passengers, No business ethics. NEVER TRAVELLING WITH JET AIRWAYS EVER AGAIN.
