For a lot of people face book is the easy way to make friends with people and to see the world through different eyes--that being said you can find as a user a lot of time being spent checking out pictures other people like and playing a lot of games--to which begs the question--Just where will you find the time for other things in your life if you are glued in front of a computer. The fact is that I was a face book user for over 10 years--posted hundreds of pictures-spent a lot of time chatting with people or poking others and yet at the end of it I have to admit that many people I knew from work and to see them each day and chat with them on face book...well it made me feel like I didn't really know the person as well as I would have liked. It does save on postage and time spent emailing to see a person on a page and then chatting with them but if i had a dollar for all the pictures and game request I was sent I would be watching sports right now a huge wide screen Television--so yes if you want to be entertained, meet people from near and far away join--but if you wake up one day like I did and wonder where I was wasting all this time when I could have been doing other things--well that's a choice you have to make for yourself

it is a good place to find friends.Go in to plenty of detail, talk about the key elements you like, was there anything you particularly didn't like about it

When I first signed up for Facebook, I didn't know what to expect. I quickly learned that to get the most out of this site, you need a lot of friends to be also on the site. You can change your privacy to 'public' or 'friends only'. Although it is definitely better for you if your account is on 'friends only', part of me wishes others would have their profiles on public. To you, it probably sounds slightly creepy to hear me talk about stalking somebody on Facebook, but join Facebook and you'll understand, I guess. It is almost certain if you're going for a job interview, your possible future employer has been checking your Facebook page. Still in school? Then your teachers probably have. Another feature of Facebook that might appeal to the younger generation is the games. If you wish, there are thousands of pointless, but enjoyable games you can waste your time playing. And try and give your 'status updates' a point. Does the world really want to know what you had for breakfast? So back to the original question. Facebook: Yes or No? For me, yes. But just so you're warned before while on Facebook, an hour feels like 5 minutes.....

I must say I don't have a bad word to say about Facebook. I've used a number of social network websites over the past few years, some still about and some have disappeared, but it always seems like it's Facebook that is always improving and moving on. All my family are on there, all my friends are on there - Facebook is it!

I am so tired of pounding that changes all the time and that you can not have law and keep the old. It does not take much before I leave FB altogether. must be said, after they've turned it on, I use only FB. 2% of the time compared to before.

I say "I hate Facebook," and I kind of do, but it's a great way to see what people are up to, and I'm in several Facebook groups now that are really working well for letting people feel connected. One is a group of old friends who have been out of touch and the other is a place for new people to connect. Facebook works great for both.

Facebook is "ok" for security, but its let down by people still having open and free to look at accounts. They should really lock everyone's down so only friends can see it!

Facebook is a good tool for staying in touch and interacting with your friends. But the website is becoming increasingly difficult/irritating to use and slow, which has significantly detracted from my experience with it recently.

Facebook keeps you 'in touch' with people that you would not normally have any contact with in day to day life. You can discuss topics of choice and are free to give opinions on. I share my photos on FB instead of carrying around albums etc.

Services are not working properly, especially chat and messages! Multiple delivery of msg, other time no delivery at all. Missing functions + confusing with like pages, fan groups and profiles - people use it differently and it makes a lot of mess. Developers slept over the new technologies, go to g+ and u'll see why

Sometimes there are things you just don't need or want to find out about on face-book, however its the best social networking program that allows you to store photographs interact with long lost friends and family as well as entertain us with games jokes and funny pictures of friends making fool's of themselves

Was recommended to FB a few years ago by a friend which I originally declined but after some encouragement I joined and ever since I am on FB almost every day. It is a great way to keep up to date with friends and family. Wow, 20 years ago, this would have been impossible and you changed a lot of people's lives especially the deaf community! Thank you FB!
