Written on: 07/02/2018 by Fernando25 (1 review written)

Why have you changed the concept ? Im in charge of a library in a college. i was using about 8 X200g per week of the gold in the last 6 years and unfortunately had to stop because of complains of the visitors, its very disappointing. please go back to the old quality product… Read Full Review

“Seems different”

Written on: 04/02/2018

What has happened to gold blend? I'm glad it's not just me that is now wanting to change brands after being a loyal customer since starting to buy coffee!I don't like the dust left in the bottom of the mug. Is this a case of Nescafe reducing the quality and charging the same to make more money?… Read Full Review

“gold blend coffee now ruined ”

Written on: 30/01/2018

having drank only this brand of instant coffee for at least the last 25 years i was not at all concerned when the jar shape was changed then i opened a jar and drank what is supposed to be gold blend coffee insipid flavourless with a sludge left behind at the bottom of the cup this is not gold blend it is cheap and obnoxious the sort of coffee you would expect from a greasy spoon cafe i will obviously not be buying gold blend again i will now have to try and find another coffee that comes near… Read Full Review

“What a shame”

Written on: 29/01/2018 by Yair422 (1 review written)

I agree with all reviews made to date. I too have drank only Gold Blend for years and am bitterly disappointed that they have changed the much loved product. The new version comes nowhere close. I suggest Kenco Smooth blend as a closer alternative to the original gold blend. I won't be buying Nescafe again. … Read Full Review

“Ruined”

Written on: 24/01/2018 by lowdownbum (1 review written)

You've ruined my favourite instant coffee with this new blend including grounds which I hate. How a large company can wreck their profit-providing staple without any concern for their customers, in the name of increasing their profits by cheapening the product, without carrying out tastings by the public, which would have told them this was a rubbish idea, is beyond belief, and the senior management of the company should ensure heads roll before returning to the original recipe. Meanwhile in… Read Full Review

“Arrogance of Nestle by not responding to the many...”

Written on: 23/01/2018 by Rewind47 (1 review written)

Having provided feedback on the new Nescafe Gold Blend and read the many other negative reviews I have still not seen a single response from Nestle on this. It only serves to reinforce my conclusion that Nestle don't have any respect for their customer's opinions wnich is arrogant and ignorant to say the least. My wife and I, having used and enjoyed the old Nescafe Gold Blend for many years have recently conducted our own trials of numerous instant coffee brands over the past few months and… Read Full Review

“Black Sludge”

Written on: 22/01/2018

After drinking this for around 30 years, I'm appalled to find they've changed the 'recipe'. It now has a gritty texture and tastes quite frankly horrible. It also leaves a black sludge residue in the mug. I'm on the hunt for a good substitute as I will not be purchasing another jar or pouch of this, unless they revert to the original… Read Full Review

I totally agree. I've stopped drinking coffee, until I find a good replacement. I can't believe how bad it tastes & the disgusting residue left in the mug.

“Poor, weak taste”

Written on: 08/01/2018 by Pfiske (1 review written)

Where has all the flavour gone? I used to like Gold Blend, but the present product is insipid and not worth buying. I complained to Nescafe, but was fobbed off with the comment that there were other blends I could try!… Read Full Review

What have you done to Nescafe Gold Blend? It tastes bitter. I thought there was something wrong with the first jar so purchased another. A waste of money! I thought the milk was sour. But no, it's the coffee. Will not be buying another jar of Nescafe Gold Blend… Read Full Review

Completely agree. I am only on this site because I wondered if anyone else thought the same. There is a non-dissolved residue at the bottom of the cup I associate with standard powdered products such as Nescafe. With so many people reporting the same findings it will be interesting to hear what Nestle's have to say.

“New gold blend is terrible!!”

Written on: 30/12/2017 by Hudson297 (1 review written)

We've been drinking gold blend for probably 15 years, used to be the best instant coffee out there. 1) The 'new, improved' version tastes more like a cheap discount brand. It has a bitter after taste. 2) Leaves a horrible black grit in the cup.(According to nescafe, this is insoluble coffee, which makes it more like filter coffee. Being insoluble, I guess it doesn't add anything to the flavour, but does add to the weight of the product, meaning less usable coffee per jar/pack) 3) refill pack… Read Full Review

“What's this sludge?”

Written on: 24/12/2017 by kej111 (1 review written)

Why has this Gold Blend product changed from a good tasting cup of coffee which I have drunk for many years to a bland, thin beverage with a residue of black sludge at at the bottom of the cup? Has anyone analysed this? If it is not soluble and therefore not a part of the drink should it be there at all? I am switching to other companies… Read Full Review

“Why Change it? Cheaper?”

Written on: 24/12/2017 by Jamesyc442 (1 review written)

Dreadful stuff, black sludge in the bottom of the cup. Uurgh, used it for 30+ years, need to find another!Nestle say .... "We do produce a range of coffees, so if you have found that Gold Blend is not quite right for you, have a look at the other great NESCAFÉ products we have available".
