I just love this Mitsubishi L200 2.5 TD pick up. An aesthetically pleasing machine for the eyes to see. This vehicle caught my attention the first time I gazed upon it. A dependable 4WD with its Easy Select function that shifts-on-the fly up to 100 kph. It could carry you anywhere and anytime. It's dependable, adequate yet fuel efficient (2.5 liter TD boasts a fine performance). It has a masculine physique from the outside, as shown by the fender flares, bonnet air scoop, body-mounted rear third brake light, headlight washers, mean looking grille and flushed headlamps. Interior amenities is a plus. All leather seats, powerful aircon with heater, rear defogger, electric doors and rear view mirrors and good sound system from the 6-speaker Alpine CD unit. Cruising along the highway is a breeze with a maximum rated speed of 142 km/hour. Shifting is smooth and acceleration adequate. Braking is sufficient to stop the 2 ton+ machine. Functionally it's exceptional with it's 1.5 ton carrying capacity.

A safe, spacious (inside and in the load area), comfortable 4x4 which can be switched in and out of 4x4 at up to 100km/hour in a straight line. Engine performs well, reasonably economical - but you can drive it like a F1 or try to if you want to. Plenty of power if you need or know how to use it. Latest models have upgraded variable power turbo to give a little more power, but I am looking forward to the introduction of the 3.0 litre turbo-diesel which will be less stressed pulling the same vehicle around.

i'm looking forward to the new 3ltr diesel aswell but have you seen the new body shape.. it looks like a mix between a nissan micra and a ford ka.... it's been redesigned to appeal to a wider demografic.. i.e mums doing the school run... i use my 2.8 import for towing mini diggers and trailers and i must say its the best thing i've ever used for towing.. what makes it better is that i have the auto gearbox so no loss of momentum when changing gear while pulling a load.... i will not buy the newer version.. i know it will be better and uprated in almost every area but i just could'nt bring myself to drive a big open backed versin of a nissan micra... i belong to the mitsubishi L200 owners club.. come and have a look at the new truck in out photo's section the web site address is www.l200.org.uk
