I am in the process of making a claim with Diamond Car Insurance for a non-fault accident. I am insured with Diamond for third party fire and theft. However, Diamond will not deal with me because I am third party fire and theft, and they keep passing me over to a company called Albany Asc. that's exactly what's happening to me right now! I am also involved in a claim over an accident which was not my fault and am insured with Diamond third party only. not only did they fail to register the call I made on the day of the accident, Albany Asc also failed to send me out the so-called "information pack" I would need to proceed with my claim. when I called some days later to inquire the where-abouts of said pack (assuming it would include a return address and information of where to send my repair quotes) I was informed that the legal team had been "clarifying details". hmmmm, well. when the information arrived, it was nothing but F.A.Qs with no address to send my quotes to. I then made two more calls to Diamond and was told by bored call centre staff to speak to Albany who then told me amongst long drawn-out pauses that I'd need to talk to their solicitors for such information as "is the other driver admitting liability?" and so on. when I finally got someone who cared on the phone on behalf of Albany, she informed me that the solicitors appointed my claim where in fact the wrong ones and that they were for Northern Ireland only! therefore the other driver's insurers were in fact completely oblivious to my claim! and that is how it currently stands. I can only urge people in the strongest possible sense never to insure their car with Diamond. they are the rudest, most inefficient bunch I have ever had to deal with and I will be taking my custom elsewhere shortly after this claim is completed, not that they care. and I won't be paying the cancellation fee either. I feel sorry for anyone else in this situation-boo to Albany and an even bigger thumbs down to Diamond.

I have been a customer of Diamond Car Insurance for 7 years, but not for much longer. My premiums have been going up and up for any excuse, but the premium is never lowered if there are any positive changes.
The renewals team in Wales are very unhelpful and short, and the customer care team in India were even worse, and they kept me on hold forever.

My renewal premium this year was up to nearly £700 for a 3 year old Ford Galaxy and a 35 year old driver! I was so sick of them, and after 5… Read Full Review

I have never received such disgusting service from a company in my entire life. Having been a loyal customer of Diamond for almost a year, I recently sold my car and cancelled my policy. I have just returned from a two week holiday to find I have incurred a £20 fee for ending the policy early. When I rang up to (begrudgingly) pay, I was informed that the payment has now been passed to a debt agency and has doubled to £40 due to late payment! My Daughter bought a policy from Diamond Car Insurance in March this year, and really paid through the nose for the privilege of paying monthly. My friend had an accident which was proved non fault but when she tried to claim from Diamond, she was offered 50% of the market value of her car. After endless calls she was asked by Diamond to prove how much her car was worth by collecting ads for the same car from the paper. If your friend knows how much her car is worth then she should have no problem proving it. Would you pay out over the odds for something if the person selling it couldn't prove how much it was worth? Getting a few adverts together isn't that much hassle, just look in Auto Trader. I had to do it when my car was written off.
