“Worst company ever”

The worst customer service ive ever seen and ive been travelling a lot the last decade! Was going to Paris from Abu dhabi to visit my family with my baby. When i arrive i couldnt find the baby pushair so i had to buy a new one. Ive been calling them for the last 5 months to get reimburse noone is giving me a single answer, i received 100euros for a pushair worthing 300 euros. Noone is helping. “Impressive Experience Flying with them”

We recently flew to delhi with stopover at abu dhabi and flew with etihad from heathrow. (We had our connecting flights after 3 days with emirates from dubai). We are truly impressed with the experience we had with etihad. “Perfect for Middle East Journeys”

Have travelled with them a few times for official trips to Abu Dhabi and they have been excellent. Ofcourse the company was paying for Business Class so that might be part of the reason. “No Emirates!”

I had high expectations from this airline, as it is quite new, and I was hoping it would be similar to the standard of Emirates. However, I was greatly disappointed. On one of my flights, they ran out of the chicken meal, and the vegetarian meal, which left me with the beef option. “Etihad's Irrational Baggage Allowance Policy”

As enforced recently by the Chicago Area Manager of Etihad for the Americas, Suzanne Alipourian, in order to increase the company’s ancillary revenue under the campaign “Every Kilo Counts” the airline is strictly enforcing the maximum limit for size and weight for both check-in (23.0 kg and below) and carry on bags (7.0 kg and below). Absolutely spot-on review.

And to add to that, they even weighed my laptop, as I know it is exactly 5.4kg, and their check-in scales said 6kg.

Add the weight of the hold-all that I carry it in, they were claiming nearly 8kg. Deducting their extra 600g from the scales, I argued that it placed the total in the 7ish kg range, which I didn't think was unacceptable.

I told them simply; I will not be checking in a $5000 USD laptop.

I now wear a suit when travelling with Etihad, and stuff all the pockets with everything that would normally have been in my bag, and then repack on the plane.

What a said state of affairs.

Some people think that I'm so lucky to be travelling all the time, but how little do they know...

BOM-AUH on a new wet-leased Jet Airways A332 with a Jet crew and an Etihad service manager to ensure quality on par with Etihad's and E-BOX loaded onto the IFE system. Check-in was smooth at BOM, boarding procedures seem to have been following the recent trend where announcement frequency has been minimised for optimal noise control. “Poor customer service and rude staff. ”

I was travelling with my baby from Washington Dulles -IAD to BLR yesterday August 23,2013 . At Dulles,I was boarding FLT 6021 (operated by Etihad) the staff looked at me like I was a thug. American airlines had done something that messed up. The staff at the gate made me wait for 1.5 hours with the baby in my hand. “Worst case of food poisining”

I suffered severe vomiting and diarrhea on a 13 hour flight after eating a meal on Etihad. The crew did not care at all and treated me like an annoyance when I asked for help. I had some friends tell me about similiar experiences. Apparently if you are "white looking" - european, american or other- you are treated very well with senstivity. If you are asian or black or hispanic, they treat you differently. I prefer Emirates over Etihad any time or to that matter any american or european carrier. Etihad is one i would avoid.

“Ran out of food in the 6th row”

It is understood that airlines cut corners to be profitable, but I have never flown on an airline that runs out of food in the 6th/7th row. Upon complaining, the flight service director was kind enough to get me a food plate from the Business Class, but as far as I could hear behind me, passengers were asking for the first choice on the menu; instead were being offered egg omelette instead!… Read Full Review

My experience travellign with a lap infant was that, they don;t bring the baby food until the baby is asleep . Seriously, does it take 2 hours for these folks to bring food ? For teh sake of pete, at least know there are infants who need food on these long flights. I have come to think that perhaps this is their normal standard.

Running out of food seems to be a theme with them. Offered me the beef option as a Hindu, because they had run out of the chicken, AND the vegetarian! Ridiculous!

“one of the top 2 airlines of the world”

I've flown Etihad for the last four years; always business class and on average five times a year. In the air there is no doubt they are on a par with Qatar and very few airlines in my experience come close to these two. “Terrible Experiences with Etihad Airlines”

“More fun to get the Plague”

“Lying and horribly ground staff!!”

“Unprofessional Flight Attendant”

“Pure Luxury and the best ever staff”

We travelled from Heathrow to Abu Dhabi and then onto Sydney. At Abu Dhabi we decided to upgrade to Pearl Business Class and what an amazing experience we had. Excellent staff and your own pod area which turned into a wonderful bed. The food was very good and you could chose what and when you ate. I totally disagree with it. service is not good. Baggage handling is worst. You are not sure you will get your baggage at your destination. Most of the times its lost and they don't care. you never get response to ur comlaint and their phones go unattended.

My friend your" amazing experience" is because of business class , nothing to infer about Etihad's commitment to quality of service or customer care. You would get similiar or better if you fly any other airline in business, of course.
