“Dreadful customer service”

I ordered a pair of black summer shorts in time for going away. The 'shorts' didn't arrive in time but I found them in my 'safe place'. SADLY they were most definitely not what I had ordered. The item was a pair of black corduroy bib=fronted shorts - certainly not suitable for a woman of a certain age. I have found it impossible to read the order number beginning DUX....... and neither has my email address or the last four digits of my phone number been recognised. Neither does there appear to be ANY customer service available. I am very disappointed as when Debenhams was in the High Street it was my go to store.

“Debenhams terrible customer service ”

Debenhams has seriously gone down hill. Even though I tried to deal with head office to solve a problem they are no longer interested. Terrible customer service! There new ‘don’t care’ attitude is disappointing. I’ve shopped with them for 25 years on a weekly basis and they have lost me for £10 exchange! What a shame! Stick to John Lewis in the future, they still value their customers.

“Shocking service - click and collect”

I ordered a suit online via click and collect at the liverpool store. The suit was for a wedding and was due to arrive the day of the wedding. It never arrived. The store couldn't tell me when it would arrive either. I wasn't allowed to cancel the order and swap it for another suit from the store. I was told I would have to buy another and wait for a refund. The store staff weren't interested. I complained online and received a similarly disinterested reply. Basically "your suit will be there in a couple of day - take it or leave it" Utterly abysmal service. No wonder they are struggling,

“webside horrible to use today”

This has happened to me before but I had forgotten. Again trying to choose and buy online, the expiry date could not be put in because the slider stopped at 7 and I needed 12. Having finally got over that when it finally worked, I proceeded to put in all my debit card details which it happily took from me. Then I was stopped from proceeding past the "to checkout". As I had put in everything and I am experienced in buying online without hitches, I thought maybe my order had gone through. Apparently not as nothing came into my email account confirming my order. It made me nervous of hackers. Otherwise Debenham is a lovely store as are local staff.

“Awful restaurant food ”

Had jacket potato with prawns today in your restaurant in Carlisle,it didn’t come with a salad as it does everywhere else.Prawns were almost tasteless,potato was over cooked and served in a cereal bowl making it very difficult to cut as the bowl kept revolving.At £4.95 was very much overpriced.Will not eat here again and would not recommend.

“Totally rubbish ”

“selling dangerous goods”

selling dangerous goods. Having purchased a picture from Debenhams it fell and broke within a few minutes of being hung on the wall. One of the mounts have broken under the weight of the picture. Luckily it missed my granddaughter. My wife has just spent around an hour on the phone trying to resolve the issue and I cannot believe how inept their staff are when it comes to customer service. Will never buy from them again. If you have shares in Debenhams I suggest you sell them as a business with this level of customer service will not be around for much longer. Does any business have a Trust Pilot score worse than Debenhams?

“Service and store cards”

I came in to the Carmarthen store quite late today as I needed to buy a suit for an upcoming wedding. I was greeted at the till by a young assistant who offered me a 10% discount if I opened a Debenhams Mastercard. She went through all the information about the card in detail and made sure that I understood everything before beginning to sign me up to the store card whilst also making sure she answered all the questions I had about the card. As the young assistant was doing the application, I heard an announcment that the store had now closed of which I appologised for keeping everyone waiting and going to the trouble of continuing with the card, It was nice to hear from her that it was no trouble at all and she was happy to do so. She was very profesional and polite and worked at a fast pace to get the card done whilst also making sure she'd gone through everything to ensure I was happy. She is a credit to your store and company.

“Bra fitting service”

“Luton debenhams unfriendly unhelpful ”

I thought I'd share my visit to Luton branch Debenhams yesterday as I quite frankly have never met so many unhelpful and unfriendly members of staff in such a short period of time in one store.So I have a 18 month old who is quite frankly a handful to say the least so I try avoid shopping in store at all costs but needs must and I'd like to mention I'd also tried contacting store before visiting but could not get through after being on the line for 7mins to check item I was after was in stock.On entering store I remembered how unchild -disability friendly the store actually is as the department I needed to visit was on the lower floor and the only lift provided was having issues as a person was actually trapped inside and this staff member was summoning someone to come and help on recognising she must have her hands full I simply asked if the lift was going to be working she bluntly said no at which point I suggested that I really needed to go down and perhaps I could remove my daughter from her pushchair at which point she again bluntly informed me that she could not be responsible for my buggy which I totally understand but couldn't fathom why she wasn't willing as a paying customer to either have someone help with my folded buggy or perhaps check and collect the item the item I do needed was in store but no soloution was offered and she proceeded to watch me struggle with all my bags,folded buggy and wriggly toddler onto the escalator.On approaching a very quiet department I asked a very disinterested lady on the counter if the top I was after was in store she said it was not so I looked for an alternative.This same lady informed me rather irritated that I'd bothered her yet again that changing rooms were not in use but I could use the Ines on the other side so off I went,couldn't get buggy through changing room door (it's not even a big g buggy)so had to leave it outside again other assistant there not to helpful.Chose my items went to pay lady now having a convo with another staff member felt that they were irritated by my presence and interrupted toon of their convo,so sorry for wanting to actually buy something!Then same challenge witnessed by both of these ladies getting up escalator with all my stuff.Really disappointed with service put me off revisiting big time!

Visited Milton Keynes store to purchase one large and one medium sofa plus an armchair. Very helpful and informative lady . We were kept in touch regarding the progress of our order and given a two hour slot prior to delivery date. Delivery team phoned fifteen minutes prior to reaching us. They were very pleasant and efficient, unpacked all items for us to examine them and took all packaging away. We are most impressed with the whole process and very pleased with our purchase.

“Debenhams refusing to refund for faulty sofa.”

The base of our sofa collapsed after a few months. Debenhams said it was just settling in. One end is now unusable and Debenhams are refusing to refund us. Shocking product and shocking customer service. Shame on you Debenhams ! Do not buy furniture from Debenhams.

“Personal shopper experience in Southampton store”

I arranged to have a personal shopper in debenhams Southampton for my daughters graduation. She was very friendly, polite and informative and matched a dress to suit my needs perfectly matching it with shoes and bag I had already purchased. I was made to feel very special by herself and manager from the minute I arrived. I can't thank you both enough and also the young lady in makeup who even matched a lipstick to go with my outfit. I really enjoyed the experience and left feeling a million dollars, thank you so much.

“Bad experience at debenhams bra fitting service ”

Took my 14 year old daughter to get fitted for a bra, am extremely annoyed with the sales assistants attitude, she was argumentative and gave unnecessary opinions, one which really distressed my daughter was:"has anyone ever told you that you have one breast bigger than the other?"which wasn't the case but to say that to a young girl,my child infuriated me, then questioned me when I said I didn't want under wired bra as I felt my daughter was too young, I found the whole experience very stressful and upsetting especially for my daughter.

“Debenhams do not assemble beds”

Bought a Willis & Gambier bed from Debenhams. It was damaged, probably when it left the factory. Had to glue it together and then assemble the bed myself because the delivery company refused to do it. As this was contrary to the terms of the purchase, Debenhams offered 10% discount. Under protest this was improved to 11%. But they would not have bothered if I had not hassled them. It took a week of phoning them to get this result.

“Poorest service ever experienced ”

Today I visited the barely minerals counter there was no assistant available to help me so I asked on another counter for help. I was told that it wasn't her department and someone would be back at 5 if I would like to come back, I would just like to say I think this is really poor customer service.
