“Worst company ever”

Absolutely the worst company I have ever dealt with. Placed an order paying with paypal and they rang me to say there was a problem with payment. Everything had gone through my end but cancelled the order anyway. Then got an email to say item dispatched! Was told I would have to return or make another payment. Was sent tracking details that didn't work! Payment still pending in paypal. Basically this company havent a clue.

“Figleaves - Avoid at all costs”

I really wish I had read these reviews before purchasing. Like others, I bought an expensive tankini. It was unflattering and really hard to get on and off. I therefore returned it. They refused the return as it had a mark on it - the mark was tiny so I wiped off with a damp cloth and returned again (at my own cost). They just sent it back with some customer service language about insisting every customer had a positive shopping experience!! Well I didn't - I am £50 out of pocket and am left with a tankini that is of no use. Customer service were not open to negotiation but kept saying this does not effect your statutory rights - but could not expand on what my rights were. As an expensive retailer I expected more. Surely we need to try garments on - their response - wash and shower and remove all products first. I asked if people did this when shopping on the high street - and also what happens with items like fake tan - my responsibility they said - I am not even sure the small mark was even made by me! Appalling service - read all these reviews before deciding to buy - I would avoid like the plague!

“POOR POOR SERVICE”

just returned a tankini to figleaves. They have said there is a mark on it and so I can have it back or they will dispose of it, either way they are not refunding me. I tried it on once, I am so disappointed as I totally refute this. I would have been a regular customer but I will NEVER use them again.

“Worst customer service”

If I had read these reviews, I would have saved myself the headache. This company does not put their customers first and does not stand behind their products. I ordered a lounge suit from them. It was soft, the right colour and exactly what I expected so I was happy. However, after washing (and following manufacturers recommendations), it shrank three inches in the legs. This was totally unacceptable and unreasonable, so I returned it and asked for a full refund. Two weeks later, the items were returned, but without a letter or note of any kind. Of course I called Figleaves to figure if there was confusion and this is the response I received: "After the item was inspected by our Quality Control Team we can see that the care instructions were not followed therefore we cannot deem this item as faulty." I have tried contacting them since, but there's no reply. The items are machine washable and safe for the dryer if inside out. Those aren't difficult instructions to follow. This unprofessional response has lost Figleaves a good customer.

“Refused a refund even though the parcel was never...”

I would like to urge everyone not to buy ANYTHING EVER from Figleaves.com. I paid the premium price for next-day delivery for a very expensive order. The parcel never arrived. Figleaves claims it was delivered 'to the front desk' even though there is no front desk in the building and refuses to refund my account or send a replacement.

“refused refund”

I returned several items in perfect condition, they have refused to refund these items as they say I returned them marked which I did not. Very poor customer service. I am out of pocket to the tune of £125. I will never buy from them again.

“Appalling Customer Service”

I bought a strapless bra from them and had an allergic reaction to the silicone in it. I phoned them to let them know and they said there was a warning on the packaging that mentioned that some people could have an allergic reaction to it and so they were not liable at all. Fair enough you might say but the rudeness with which this was said really got my back up. I contacted the bra manufacturer who were very concerned about the treatment i had received from Figleaves and they gave me a full refund and 2 additional bras from their range for free!! Now that's what i call customer service!! I politely emailed Figleaves to tell them of my experience thinking it was possible that i had just got a very rude member of staff but they didn't even reply to my email, and reading through other feedback comments on the internet about them its obvious that this is the way they treat everyone. I will never shop there again.

“Do not buy from figleaves”

After returning a product due to the wrong size within 24 hours completely unused with tags and packaging they have refused a refund stating there is a mark...there was NO mark it was immaculate and I wish I had read other reviews because other people have had the same problem... I will never buy from figleaves again!!!

“Poor quality silk”

I bought a pair of silk pyjamas from Figleaves in January. Admittedly the label says Hand wash only but I have many silk vests and another pair of pyjamas from Patra. I have always washed these on the machine silk program with a gentle wool detergent and never had a problem. After two months these pyjamas have frayed at the arm seam. They cost £150 and Figleaves have refused a refund or replacement. I suggest you buy only if you have the time to hand wash. Lucky you!

“Beware - Figleaves fails to reveal customs duty charges”

I ordered several items from Figleaves for my wife as a Valentines gift. The website gives you the option of ordering from the U.K. Site, or the U.S. Site - this is the beginning of misleading you about the hidden cost of 'Customs Duty Charges' you will later receive from the shipping company. When you are ready to check out, you are given the option of various shipping methods. Note that all merchandise is coming from the United Kingdom, even if you used the 'U.S. Site' as I did, thinking they had a U.S. location and a U.K. location as many companies do. Figleaves claims you are informed about the possible 'Customs Duty Charges' at this point. I have since checked the site, and found a very small, barely noticeable statement about the possibility of Customs Duty Charges - no other information is given. Here's the bottom line - I ordered $315 of merchandise. Two months later, I received a Customs Duty bill for $41 from DHL - the shipper. I called Figleaves, and they said 'sorry' in a very nice British accent. To be fair, the merchandise was very nice, but available here in U.S., too.

I agree. Apparently the limit for duty-free is $200, but FigLeaves never says that anywhere on their website. So in short, I'll never order more than $200 at a time from them. And based on the other customer service reviews stating problems with returns, probably not even that.

“Very disappointed”

After wearing a bra only once and washing it once, I noticed the under-wire was cutting through the material. I sent the bra back to Figleaves and kindly requested a replacement. Figleaves returned the faulty bra back to me, saying it was washed incorrectly. I phoned Figleaves and questioned their response as I can quite honestly say that I followed the washing instructions. Figleaves have refused to replace the faulty bra. I am so disappointed with Figleaves because I have ordered my bras from them for over 10 years and I have never ever sent anything back before - but Figleaves were not interested in my loyalty to them and they still refused to replace the faulty goods. I am extremely disappointed in Figleaves customer service and I certainly won't be buying anything from them again.

“Do not order - they make you pay duty fees”

I ordered multiple bathing suits from this site and because the suits themselves were not cheap the order was a little over $600. During your checkout process there is a link saying you might have to duty fees but they do not disclose how much are give you an approximate range based on your order total. I just got a bill from DHL for $85 in fees. Had I known I had to pay that much I would never have ordered from this site. This is not very clear during your check out process. Needless to say I will never order from this site again.

“Dont buy in US! Customs charges greater than product...”

A nightmare. My 17 year old daughter bought $183 in product merchandise. Returned $120 worth. Unbeknownst to her this is a UK company (though US website). We were charged $82 in customs fees. So $82 for a $60 purchase. When I called fig leaves they said that if you read their website closely you'll notice they do say there may be customs fees. I had to dig to find it. When I called the company they basically said she should have looked more carefully and the customs were my problem. Outrageous. US shoppers beware!!

“Worn a bra four times it has broken and they will not...”

I am appalled by the service from Figleaves. I used a muslin bag and the handwash setting on my top of the range Meile washing machine, wore the bra three times after washing it and the wire came out. The service from Figleaves is disgusting. Clearly the bra has not been stitched together properly, they have not seen it but because I washed on handwash in the machine rather than in the sink they will not refund. They don't ring when they say and they are supercilious in their emails and will not escalate the issue just keep passing it around. They think four wears for a nearly £50 bra is acceptable I don't.

“Unreliable, WORST costumer service EVER! ”

The Figleaves website design is fine, and delivery is usually quick BUT if you dare to find a bra unfitting and try to return it for a refund or a store credit - OMG! the horror! I once had to chase them for months! (literally) to get a simple refund for one bra I had returned (within the return time frame they allow for refunds). The second time I got the package very late, more then a month after ordering and when I asked them if I can return some of the items still (as many other online bra shoppers do I ordered a the same item in different sizes to find the best fitting one) for a store credit or exchange I was simply IGNORED, time and time again. Moreover, if you look at their "terms and conditions" page you'll find a threatening "fraud" section: https://wecc.drct2u.com/system/templates/selfservice/figleavesUK/#portal/1004/article/2886/Fraud which is likely to make to you feel more like a thief than a costumer. They're fine as long as you don't cause "trouble" like daring to ask for a refund or make a return. “Untrustworthy - I wouldn't use”

Currently Figleaves is offering 20% off the Elle Macpherson Sheer Ribbons (as of 26th August). I placed an order with Figleaves, also using a promotion code from myvouchercodes -Spend £30 and get £5 off. However on my order confirmation I saw that a pair of pants costing £16, suddenly reverted to the full price of £20 and the supposed discount was then only applied. So my £5 off was in fact a miserable £1. The only terms of the promotion was that you had to spend £30 to receive £5 off. So I guess Figleaves was mis-advertising. Another thing, if you ask for a replacement or exchange in order to save of forking out for another delivery charge, be warned. Any product replacement or exchange is only sent out at full price - no offers or promotions is allowed. I guess they would rather you just paid delivery all over again!

“Postage makes it not worth using!”

I brought a bra from this company but had to return it. Although the size i ordered was exactly the same style and size bra i usually buy from bravissimo. So not sure their sizing is correct never had problem with bravissimo just couldnt get to bravissimo before my holiday on this occasion. Postage was slow and i had to return the bra, the cup size came up very small. It cost me £5.20 to return plus the postage i paid for it to be sent which they wont refund. So all together it has cost me more than 30% of the price of the bra which cost £26.00, as i have said to figleaves in my complaint i dont know how they still have business. I will never use them again when it will cost so much to return items when i can buy from shop and get 100% refund it makes no sense. So overall a waste of money if there is a chance you may have to return the items ordered. Also from my compliant they dont care either.Im not one to leave reviews unless its something i feel strongly about but i should have checked first as others have said the same.
