“withhold no claims discount proof”

★☆☆☆☆

written by on 19/10/2015

I was unfortunate to insure my car with Endsleigh car insurance , not a very professional company or got any kind of customer service. I requested proof of no claims as Endsleigh do not provide proof on renewal notice to prevent you insuring elsewhere. I contacted customer service asking why I am not entitled to this as all previous insures are happy to provide this on renewal notices , been told they don't do this till insurance expires . I wont be insuring with Endsleigh on any of my family cars in future. customer satisfaction zero .

“Avoid at all costs!!!”

★☆☆☆☆

written by Maevem259 on 18/08/2015

Had an incident in march which resulted in my car getting written off, the price they offered me for the car was 1/3rd of what its actual value is. i asked if i provide proof of other similar vechiles for sale could they at least come up a little bit, they said this was fine, i provided over 15 example to them, they then took a month with no contact whir they "reviewed" the evidence i sent them and decided on the price. after a month i called them and that hadn't even bothered to look at them and were still sticking to there ridiculous price. They also kept pressuring me to let the scrap guys come collect the car even though i they hadn't even finalised a price. Eventually i heard from them with an offer that was £20 more than what they originally offered, no that is not a joke! i made a formal complaint saying that this was a joke, the guy on the phone promised me it would only take 10-14 days to resolve, it is now the end of august and after making 15+ phone calls to them they still have only just managed to say sorry but they will not increase the offer despite providing sufficient evidence to tell them otherwise. They even had the cheek to try and say that i agreed to keep the car myself even tho i specifically told them i didn't have a need for a written off car that didn't work as i was a recent graduate and looking for a job so needed a working once ASAP so i could attend interviews etc. They promised the scrap people would call me that day, this was a week ago and still no word. They are all rude, contradicting and lie to make their lives easier, they are happy to take your money with your valuation but when it comes to them they will cut that number in half when they have to pay, complete joke and haven't caused so much grief over the last 5 months which is something that could of been sorted out in a few weeks if they could do their job properly. AVOID!!!!!

“shockingly bad. don't touch”

★☆☆☆☆

written by O'Reillyip1950 on 10/08/2015

I have at least 4 sides of A4 paper of logged calls to this company. I have a catalogue incidents from Endsleigh since taking out insurance they even at one stage claimed my car wasn't insured with them and they had the wrong car (my old car) details on their system even though I had a cover note. I cannot describe the amount of stress I've had with this company over such a small issue. I could write a book of all the things Endsleigh have not done to manage my accident and not once have I had an apology. Insure with these at you're peril take my advice go elsewhere.

“Worst insurance company ever”

★☆☆☆☆

written by Javjav on 09/07/2015

This is by far the worst insurance company ever. Their customer service is absolutely shocking never come across a company with such bad customer service. Had somebody bump into me very minor bump no injuries not write off very very minor dent and scratch. called insurance company who were very unhelpful advised will pass to claim handlers silverbeck rymer solicitors to get my car repaired 4 months down the line no letter no response nothing called them up and was advised solicitors not even looked into this. Endsleigh are rubbish but their solicitors silverbeck rymer are even worse! Obviously not enough money in it for them didn't even bother progressing the claim until I complained 5-6 times and even then progressed at snail pace . Silverbeck rymer are the worst solicitors who won't do anything unless you ring them and asked to progress at every stage as obviously not enough money in it for them. I wouldn't recommend endsleigh to my worst enemy and silverbeck rymer is a complete joke claim handling company do not use endsleigh and if you have a claim silverbeck rymer are taking care of definitely request another solicitors they are absolutely rubbish will not do anything with claim still waiting on response still nothing happening and it's coming up to a year lost out two years no claims on my renewal with my new company as endsleigh and silverbeck rymer have not resolved the matter! Worst worst company ever DO NOT GO WITH ENDSLEIGH AND DO NOT LET SILVERBECK RYMER DEAL WITH ANY CLAIMS ! It will be coming up to a year now and still no change and no resolution ! Stay well clear of endsleigh car insurance and silverbeck rymer !

“Terrible communication”

★☆☆☆☆

written by Edwardskj426 on 30/05/2015

Car got written off after just a few bodywork dents/scratches and without contacting me they arranged for a scrap yard to collect it from the garage. Very stressful time trying to contact them and the garage to stop this from happening. Eventually got my car back and was able to get it fixed privately for just a few hundred pounds, about 10% of what they had claimed it would cost. This was 6 months ago and am still yet to hear if my excess has been recovered. Spent a fortune in phone calls over this time. Will be leaving and not returning at the end of my policy.

“endsleigh is terrible”

★☆☆☆☆

written by loyal31 on 22/04/2015

i was insured with endsleigh company for 7years but despite requesting my no claims to be protected there has not been any outcome. They charged me the same amount of money that i paid from when i was a new driver to currently. customer service is terrible. The assistants have no clue and everytime i tried to request for a no claims bonus protection they wanted me to take a new insurance policy. i then took out a new policy but the no claims bonus was still not included. i rang them a year letter to request for my no claims bonus but have been told i have to take out a new policy again as the previous customer service had not done so.They are CONS. I would strongly advise anyone wishing to insure their car to look elsewhere.

“Absolutely awful”

★☆☆☆☆

written by London226 on 24/03/2015

I cannot explain how awful this company is. First of all asking for proof of claims that no one on the police has had. Then being told one thing by one advisor and something else by another. Evidence requested to confirm that I am student, get the distinct impression nothing said is believed... Whatever happened to 'upmost good faith''?. Luckily before I went back to university I worked for a large insurer for 4 years so have a good understanding of the process. But endsleigh are nothing but money grabbers and I am absolutely disgusted with the service I have received and continue to receive.

“Never been treated so badly!”

★☆☆☆☆

written by LayneTobin on 16/03/2015

After having an accident, I made a claim to Endsleigh. It is now two weeks after the accident and they still have not given me a verdict on the car. I have been told several different things off different people, and been promised for somebody to ring me back daily in which they never did. They have not given me a courtesy car, so I am currently paying insurance for a car I do not have- I have no mode of transport and cannot get to work. They have failed to communicate with me and overall there customer service is unacceptable. I will never be renewing my car insurance with them and I will be advising family and friends to never take out an insurance policy with them.

“Cheapest quote but expensive to cancel or change.”

★★★★☆

written by lilia_fellini on 13/03/2015

We got the cheapest quote with Endsleigh for our old banger (£220), so went with them. We had to change the vehicle after a month - and had been quoted £300 additional premium + £25 admin charge. This is to change from a 1.3 litre KA to a 1.6 family Renault Scenic (a saver and a newer car of approximately the same value and hardly a big engine). Even their online quoting system came up with less than that, but they won't match. In the end it was cheaper to cancel the policy (having paid a whopping £75 cancellation fee!) and get a new insurance, with others quoting £300 for a new policy with an additional driver (who had an accident) too! So I guess if you get a good quote from them - make sure you need no changes in the future and will not cancel - and it might just work for you very well. The documents are all accessible online and a change requests can be made online too. They will then email you promptly with their answer - no need to call. They also change the wrong date of birth for free and sorted out my login details via email - no hassle.

“WORST INSURANCE COMPANY”

★☆☆☆☆

written by Mrcloonty on 17/02/2015

This has to be the very worst insurance company in the world, there customer service is terrible, 5 hrs and counting, and this is just on hold in the last two weeks trying to get a policy query sorted out after an accident.. Have spent 7 hrs in total to these people, all unhelpful, poorly trained, just shocking experience, and now I'll have to cancel my insurance with them, I dread the thought off it all..

“BEWARE”

★☆☆☆☆

written by Sharpkr322 on 06/02/2015

I had a fully comprehensive insurance yet when l had a non-fault accident l was supplied with car that was lower standard than mine and the repair still is not completed over three week later. My car is not a specialist or collectors vehicle. The damage was a rear end bump. The communication from the company is poor. The only communication is from the legal team who are more interested in making money from a personal injury claim. I cancelled this over three times with them yet they still passed my details onto medical companies and sent all communication to my neighbours despite being told numerous times they had got my address wrong. At no time do they contact you to advise how the repair is going you have to chase them all the time. I hate to think what the service is like for a fault accident.

“I would never insure with this company again”

★☆☆☆☆

written by Candine on 19/01/2015

Every time I have changed the details on my policy; moved home , new job, new car they charge £25. The reason is so they can pay their staff. I think this absolutely disgusting when it takes a few minutes to update details on a computer system. They even tried to charge a further £25 when I had already paid, the assistant didn't see I had paid on the screen. Good job I refused other wise they would of had yet another £25 out of me, on top of the policy i've paid for. No, I would never insure with this company again, or recommend them to anyone.

“Avoid at all costs!!!! Even if they the cheapest”

★☆☆☆☆

written by 428Abernathy on 16/01/2015

My wife was involved in a none fault accident after being rear ended in traffic....rang than to inform and got off to a flying start..they got the car recovered sorted out hire car all within a few ours....the 3 party insurance company signed of accepting liability.....brilliant....this was Friday night sat morning. Though informing me that it was all done on a credit basis so I pay nothing and they reclaim all costs from 3rd party. So nothing till Monday as body shops closed well that's fair enough....so on the Monday I got the text message informing me of the instructed body shop....so I rang them later to see of they had the vehicle yet....they knew nothing...so I phone Endsleigh (though was Quindell legal services dealing on behalf of) they then informed me that they had changed it to another body shop 100 away. Though was nearer than the 1st one. So I gave it a day and phone the new body shop as had heard nothing....(this will become a recurring theme)...yes they had instruction but had instructed endsleigh to collect as to far away...next day the when I rang body's hop they still hadn't received my car!!!!! We now on Wednesday....so I phone in again and I was told that relocation hadn't been organised....right that was then sorted....and my father in law who was a passenger at the time got a call (god knows why) informing the car was in transit and they would confirm when it had been received.....guess what.....no call.....so I called again the next day (Thursday) once to the body shop and they still hadn't received the car!!!! So back on the phone again!!!! And apparently the car was put into storage!!!!!!! But this wasn't brought to light until I had phoned Thursday lunch time......so the car was finally received by the body shop Thursday tea time!!!! 4 days to do 35 miles!!!!!!!!!! So now straight forward???? I left it until Monday to give them a couple of days to decide to repair or not......no call!!!!!!! Ring in to be told it is likely to be a total loss but I need to speak to a company called Tec Reports...so I called them.....the gave me the decision and told me they work value out on 3 guides and what's on the market....and once I told them I disagree he told me there was one on gum tree for the valuation price...so I looked and yes there was but for us to go by train to view the car was going to cost £400 as that car was over 200 miles away!!!!! So they just find the cheapest one and said talk to Endsleigh......saying he was sending the report over first thing Tuesday morning......after chasing twice a day for three days I finally get the decision and a better offer not quite what I wanted but an acceptable figure...so we agree...and the claims handler tells me to send by email copies of mot and v5 and we can get this sorted by Monday, Ok no problems with that I did that straight away...then the big bomb shell hits....I get the confirmation email and it tells me my excess will be deducted from any settlement figure......hey hang on a minute.....BACK on the phone...oh it's company policy sir and can't be changed it's in the small print of your policy.....as far as I was concerned it was credit basis and all recovered...yes sir that is only if the car was repaired.....not written off.......why didn't someone tell me this earlier....not even the claims handler once settlement was agreed......and they want the hire car back 7 days after receipt of funds from them not the extra week or 2 from the 3rd party insurance. Then I got to wait for it to be cleared....and now I've also been told that take up to 5 days to sort out the docs I emailed over.....so we looking at over 2 weeks from decision to write off to even thinking about paying up.....I even spoke to the other insurance company and they can't understand what endsleigh are plying at and that because liability isn't disputed they are just sat waiting with cheque book open for endsleigh to tell them how much they need to pay!!!!!! They are just spinning this out longer and longer....a nightmare...and as soon as you think there is a light they put another hurdle in the way....I don't think they are ever going to pay up....I am still waiting now!!!!! I will NEVER insure with them again, even if they half the price!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! And I suggest that everyone avoids them like the plague!!!! Their head office is only a few miles from my home....I might just go and collect the funds directly!!!!

“Avoid at all costs!!!!”

★☆☆☆☆

written by on 15/01/2015

Worst customer service I have ever experienced. Had a non fault accident with the 3rd party admitting liability yet had to wait 12 weeks for the claim to be finalised. Following this they have helped themselves to £139 from my debit card without informing me that they were going to do this. Reason given is due to my policy been cancelled when THEY have written off the insured vehicle. Absolutely awful company that need taking into hand as they are preying on innocent people. I'm not intending to let this matter rest and will be perusing all routes of action against them.
