I was waiting for a package to arrive from these people at the start of the week, and of course, the package never turned up. After numerous phone calls I gave them another quick call this morning to find out where my package was, and after giving their customer service rep my tracking number, I was told "Oh, it never arrived with us" and then she promptly hung up! I called back and asked to speak to a supervisor or manager and they seemed completely disinterested in what I had to say. I asked if I could have a refund of the delivery charge since clearly they did not deliver the item within 24hrs as promised. I was told that this would have to be taken up with someone else, and was given a phone number to call, which as it turned out, did not even belong to their company. I decided this afternoon to drive to their local depot, and low and behold, there was my package, even though I had been told it had never arrived with them. Avoid this courier at all costs! Should have stuck with Royal Mail...

Three days after the actual delivery date, I am still waiting for my parcel to arrive. After finaly getting hold of somebody at ANC Courier Services I have been told that they can't find the address. They told me then they would call me back if they find where we are. Needless to say I am still waiting....
I would personally never buy from a company again that uses ANC delivery.

I ordered a present from a company that uses ANC as couriers. Waited until 5 pm on the day; then called the company and they informed me that it was delivered to the wrong depot and will not get to me until the next day when I had absolutely no use of it. I canceled my order and was left with a very unpleasant experience. My advice to customers is - don't buy from a supplier that uses ANC as courier. Companies, don't use ANC as they are too unreliable and will lose your customers (I will not buy from that website again although I like their products)

ANC Courier Service I found to be a waste of space! Screwfix started using them too and if that continues, I won't be using screwfix again.

We use ANC to deliver to our customers and usually have no problems at all. On an odd occasion we get a problem it is usually sorted quickly. As we get deliveries from many delivery companies it is apparent that the quality and timing of any delivery service is down to individual drivers, many are excellent, others are less so.

I waited in for five consecutive days for ANC to collect a package from my home. they even told me that last Friday and yesterday afternoon, the driver called, There was no one in and the driver left a card. This is just outrageous! At 7pm last night a van finally turned up, but that was a private contractor sent from 60 miles away.

ANC Courier Service is a disgraceful company with very poor communication and even worse service. I have now waited for 2 days for a time critical component of a promotion pack we're putting together and are now late on delivery ourselves for a brand new client.
Do not use or more to the point do not let your supplier use this company if what you're sending has any importance to you whatsoever.

Some internet purchases that I have made have been delivered by ANC Courier Service. The deliveries always tend to be a day late more often than not. On a few occasions, I have had to go to the local ANC depot myself to collect.
They have always been able to provide me with my parcels without any signs of damage during transit at the depots quickly and at the door they have seemed organised. ANC's attitude in general seems to be very lethargic towards customers, there just seems no direct person to approach or speak to when you require/request service.

For the second time in seven days, I am sitting, waiting for a promised delivery. Excuses went from: "could not find you", to "the van broke down". I collected the last parcel at the ANC Courier Service depot, but this one is in transit. This one was supposed to have been upgraded to before 12:00am. It is already late. I have been waiting all morning.

In the last week I have experienced no fewer than four missed collections (from an address in Central London - not hard to find). And to add insult to injury, this week, ANC Courier Service returned a package for me to the sender, the day after I called to arrange a redelivery! This company sets a new low in an industry where poor performance is the norm.

I've never used this courier before but paid for an item to be delivered next business day. It gets to 4:45 so I phone to see if my parcel is perhaps the last to be delivered, having waited in all day for it. The person on the other end of the phone informed me that 'the usual driver wasn't in today, so we didn't send it' - perhaps they should have phoned me to tell me such? I then requested that it be sent out immediately as this is not good enough, to which I am told 'hold on a minute mate', placed on hold and hung up on. Having then had the depot on redial for the next 30mins, I had no response.
Furthermore, I live in London, not the middle of nowhere - I don't honestly believe there was nobody who could cover

Very poor communication; actually no communication. When you have the nerve to complain, ANC Courier Service are extremely unfriendly in their tone. They would not give me a customer service number. I was advised if I wanted to complain, then I had to write to the woman who I was speaking to!

Terrible, apparently the parcel should be here, but it's not. The order was dispatched yesterday after I spent extra having it delivered by a courier, who haven't delivered it in the length of time the Royal Mail could have. I cannot actually contact ANC to find out where it is, the company who I bought the product from say I must wait untill 5pm before I can complain, but the ANC offices close at 5pm.

I am most displeased with this company, as not only did they fail to deliver an item to me, they queried my address, which is a joke, as I live in London, and the postcode is for my building and my building alone. Amazingly, ANC Courier Service seem to be the only courier company in the whole of the UK who cannot find my address. Although promising a next day service, they held on to my goods for over a week and made no attempt to contact me by post, as I could have gone to their offices and collected it, as I work in the vicinity of their offices. They made no attempt to deliver it, but just returned it to the sender. I asked the supplier to resend the item, and they said they can't, as they would be recharged for the delivery. I for one am reluctant to pay for delivery via this courier, as I haven't had the goods from them, and now I feel I cannot trust them should they be used again, and why should I pay 12 pounds odd for a non-existent service even once? I will be taking this matter up with Ebay and further if required.

I have the same complaint as others that have used ANC Couriers Service.
I was waiting at home for a very important delivery. The courier did not ring the door bell, and I did not here anyone knock. I found the leaflet and noticed that he had been there 5 minutes earlier. I immediately called the number provided and asked them to send the courier back.
I explained that I was home and the guy clearly did not make any reasonable attempt to deliver the parcel, other than to slip the note in the door.
I was told this was not the case, and not given the benefit of the doubt.
Even though they had clearly not had an opportunity to talk to the courier yet.
I asked to speak to the supervisor, who also insinuated that I was not telling the truth.
I called the H.Q who said I must deal with the Basildon branch, and I was in mid sentence when I was transferred back to Basildon.
Basildon said they would get the regional manager to contact me. After 16:00 when I had not received any reply I called in again. I was put on hold, and when the lady got back to me she said she had written my number down incorrectly and they could not get hold of me, and I would have to wait until the next day.
It was interesting that they said I could come and collect it at the depot, but also insisted that they could not send it from the depot because it was still in transit.

I have been using the Scunthorpe depot for a few years, and they have always serviced me well and kept me updated on the status of my delivery. I believe the comment about this depot may have been a customer with a bad taste in his/her mouth about their supplier.
It is a family run business and staff are very helpful I couldn't believe the comment about ANC Courier Service's Scunthorpe office. Maybe it was because the customer opened the package and he didn't like it because he could refuse it.

I arranged for ANC Courier Service to collect a desk, and I told them the dimensions and weight etc. They turned up the next day with one man who refused to take it as he couldn't carry it by himself. I arranged another collection and they turned up with only one person again! I had to help him carry the item myself (even though I had only given birth few weeks earlier). When it arrived at the delivery address, it was very badly damaged. I have been trying ever since to get a refund and some sort of compensation, and they are just ignoring me. This happened in May 2006 and it is now August 2006.

We paid ANC Courier Service for 24 hour delivery. Three days later, we contacted ANC to find out where the parcel was. They said they couldn't find the address. Rather than contact us to explain the problems, they did nothing. We had to collect from the depot, and when the package was opened, the goods had been damaged in transit. The girl in the Scunthorpe branch who I dealt with regarding the return was very unprofessional.

It took five days for ANC Courier Service to collect a next day delivery item, and then they lost the parcel! They are cheap, but the service isn't good enough.
