Given the deadlines (less than 4 weeks to complete purchase end-to-end), he was extremely diligent in offering me the best products available that suit my pressing requirements. I was recommended by a friend to try Alexander and Hall to source a Mortgage for an Apartment I was buying. The service was great, fast and clear with recommendations on the best product and one that I could not hope to match trawling the Internet on my own. The fees I thought were also very reasonable and the advice from Vishal clear and unambiguous, with enough information for us to make our own decisions. Myself and my husband first used Alexandar halls Jag a year and a bit ago to buy our first property in south east London. We had our concerns that as freelance actors we may not have the chance to get a mortgage but this is where Jag saved the day! He got us one easily and quickly. The ever increasing regulation of the mortgage market means that getting the best mortgage deal for yourself is not simply a case of going to a comparison site and picking the deal with the lowest deals/fees. In my opinion you've got to either invest significant amounts of time to understand everything about mortgages, or go and get some help with the whole process. After attempting the former, and getting increasingly frustrated with two "leading" banks that I was dealing with I took a recommendation from a friend and spoke to Vishal about sourcing several mortgages. Vishal was great to work with, from start to finish of each deal. At the outset he understood my requirements well and recommended some good solutions to meet my financing needs. The actual application process was made very easy by Vishal, simply fill out a few short forms, drop off some documents, and he sorted out the rest. Due to my previous bad experiences dealing directly with banks, and the lack of time I've got available, mean't this part of the service was very important for me. During conveyancing I did have some problems with one of the mortgages and Vishal was readily available to help sort things out. Only a few years ago I would never have used a mortgage broker, but Vishal has definitely converted me, his service was well worth the fee, and I've recommended him to several friends already.

I have used Alexander Hall several times, both for purchase and for remortgage with Jagraj as my mortgage adviser. He is very knowledgeable and understands the differences between mortgage providers which helps enormously to get all the requirements met in due course. Alexander Hall was introduced to us by an estate agent while buying our new London BTL flat. From the beginning our advisor was informed, patient, systematic and focussed on matching our needs and financial position to the products available. Ours is not a straight forward set of circumstances so he as able to find a creative solution. He also patiently and persistently shepherded us through the due diligence process and kept us on track.All of that was enough for us to rate him highly but he really came into his own on the final day before completion where he successfully intervened to sort out some issues between the bank and the legal advisers - suffice to say the deal would not have gone through on the day without him. We were also impressed with the responsiveness of his Alexander Hall colleagues. We had to call on their support while our advisor was on leave and they were as efficient and informed as him - quite a feat when you are dealing with a colleague's case.

We originally picked a smaller mortgage provider who claimed they could do "mates rates". Our mortgage application was rushed and resulted in a rejection. Our seller almost walked away but we turned to AH who got us a great deal and kept us informed throughout the entire process. I have used AH for a number of transactions and found my advisor to be extremely efficient, very professional and totally knowledgeable. I have used Alexander Hall previously and had a positive experience. On this occasion they had 12 weeks to get me a BTL mortgage so that we could complete before the stamp duty increase. The mortgage was complicated by the fact that I'm resident overseas. She provided an excellent service and chased the process at every step. We completed by March 24th. I was impressed at the active management of the mortgage lender to make sure that everything moved forwards and didn't get stuck in the process. The fee I paid the broker was transparent from the outset and significantly less than the stamp duty increase would have cost me. I would certainly recommend them.

As a buy to let investor I can not fault the help and support I get from Alexander Hall. I implicitly trust AH to find me the best mortgage products that are most appropriate to my requirements. Having made a recommendation, they have often come back to say that they have found an even better product. Our most recent acquisition of a London property was not expected to be completed in time to avoid the higher SDLT rates, but AH somehow managed to source and agree an excellent product in just a couple of weeks and together with our excellent conveyancing solicitors, saved us £15k in SDLT! As a regular investor, I find their fees for a central London based company reasonable and comparable to what we pay independent mortgage advisers in the North East. I commend Alexander Hall highly.

After struggling to find a mortgage on my own, I turned to Alexander Hall on a friend's recommendation and I am so happy I did that. Park Lane Office was there with me every step of the way being a mortgage advisor and friend. He helped secure a mortgage on a great rate and amount in november but by the time it came to exchange (Feb)I was worried the rates and amount would have changed, he managed to get the lender to offer more lending at an even lower rate. He never hesitated to give me an honest opinion and was always there to pick up the phone and chase the lender on any paperwork that needed to be sent out. The great thing about AH is that they are whole of market, they handle all the paperwork for you and at a very reasonable rate.
