“What horrible customer service”

About a month ago we paid off a mortgage held by Bank of America. After doing a money wire we heard nothing for a week. We tried to call but were put on hold for almost 2 hours and then received a message saying they wouldn't get to us before the end of the business day so call back the next day. After calling back we were once abandoned ut on hold for over an hour.. This time we were cut off. After finally confirm the receipt of the funds its now almost a month and we have not received any release of lein papers. Again, trying to cal is futile. Hour long waits. Their excuses? Well pick one. COVID of course. Aren't all problems with customer service the fault of COVID? Redoing their computer systems. How about good old fashioned incompetence? Fortunately after receiving the papers I no longer have any need to do business with this bank ever again and trust me, I wont. Neither should you.

“Holding my money for no reason”

I gave them one star because I had to. Bank of America doesn't even deserve one star. I would not recommend this bank to anyone EVER!!!! I put my husband check in our account just as I normally do and they put a 2 week hold on it with no explanation. This caused my electricity and water to be turned off and I had to throw away over 300 dollars worth of food. I talked to multiply representatives and they all just gave me the basic scripted answer. "There could be many reason but they can not tell me what the reason is." I do not understand how you can hold someone's money and not give them a reason for it. We live pay day to pay day so this incident has affected us tremendously and the people at bank of america could care less. I will be closing my bank account as soon as I get my money and I will advice anyone I come across interested in this bank to not even consider using it. This is not the way you run a business and if it is I want no part of it.

“Worse Phone Support Ever”

Spent 30 minutes in office Bank of America, Laurel, MD then another hour on line Saturday and now today another 40 minutes so when I had to put it on hold for work, they hung me up. Therefore, I am no longer going to continue holding an hour and 40 minutes every single time I need something. Cannot print from my phone so does not matter if I have app or not, cannot get help in person, was told they could not print another 1099. Now what? I cannot and will not continue to hold for help. I will however take my money back to the Nasa Federal Credit Union the next time I go to a bank.

“Worst Bank ever”

I do not know where to start. I deal with many banks because I have many businesses, but never seen a bank worst than Bank of America. Long lines in the branch, customer service sucks, very unprofessional the way they treat their clients. I can keep going because I am so frustrated the way I was treated. Just one advice, stay away from them.

“Automated Customer Service STINKS!”

All I needed to do was order checkbook registers - NOT checks, as the local branches no longer have them to hand out to customers. After calling the 800 Customer Service number 5 TIMES, was I able to get to speak to a real person who then had to transfer my call. Four out of 5 calls, the automated system , that gives two options , kept hanging up on me. This is very infuriating and exhausting. AND THIS IS CUSTOMER SERVICE???? REALLY??? BOA wants your money and your business, however, this process was painful and STINKS LIKE FISH!!! UPDATE YOUR SYSTEM, as it is apparent it's not about the customer at all!! It's about getting too big for your own good!

“I would never recommend Bank of America”

I had a credit card with B of A that I never used. When they sent a bill for the annual fee I ignored it anticipating they would cancel the card. They sent a late payment notice so I then called B of A. I advised them i no wanted the card and wished to cancel. When I asked the associate said there would be NO ramifications on my credit rating as no late payment notice would be sent to the credit agencies. Four days later i record notice that B of A had indeed sent such a notice to the credit agencies. This resulted in a drop of 100 points in my credit rating. I am in contact with an attorney at this time. A few years ago I dropped all my accounts with B of A because of their lack of honesty. I kept this particular card because of built up air miles. I decided not to renew because it was almost impossible to redeem the miles. I would never recommend B of A to anyone because of their complete lack of veracity.

“Inept customer service”

I don't have the rest of my life to waste time and money to the most, incompetent, inept bank, that I have ever done business with, in 60 years!!! It's amazing this bank still exist. They add double charges to your credit card statement. Then when your card goes over the limit, because of being charged double, they charge over the limit fees. I have complained to the bank numerous times for the same thing. But, it still happens, continuously. Just a real joke of an establishment.

“ATM Debit Replacement Card”

So frustrating. I went in to BOA in Palm City Florida to request a replacement debit card as mine was stolen yesterday. Diego, standing there with an IPAD ready to log in the service request stated that the person who could do that was in lunch break and then had an appt at 1:30. Really? There is only 1 person who can do this? I have had several mortgages, I have 3 checking accounts, 2 savings accounts and a money market account and cannot believe that there is only 1 person who can make a replacement. This is NOT customer service.

“ridiculous fees ”

this bank sucks. I am working as hard as I can and I do not think it is fair to charge me a $35 fee when payments as well as a direct deposit was in process.. I stayed up all night and the deposit was made to cover the expense and then they charge the fee !!!!!!!!!! I hate this bank and every single person I have talked to has been rude, snobby, and from some Midwestern state who I presume believes southerners do not know too much. What I do know is that when I am able this bank will be history and will never get another second of my business or time. I sincerely hope you enjoy your $35 since you have billions and I literally have $40 to my name. I work hard. Forty hours a week but it is peanuts and it would be nice if banks and companies who have millions, billions of dollars could give us hard working single ladies a break sometimes. Goodbye and Good Riddance.

“TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE/RIDICULUOS POLICIES”

Only 1 cashier for a 30 people line and 1 hour later I cannot make a deposit because my ID valid for 2 more years is "Temporary" Very stupid policies and terrible customer service./ Solamente 1 cajero para una fila de 30 personas y una hora después de estar en la fila no pude realizar un depósito porque mi identificación dice "temporal" aunque en realidad sea válida por 2 años más.

“Worst Bank I have ever dealt with !!”

Do not know where to start but if there was a huge O I would have used that instead ofthe1 that over rates them. I deal with many banks but BOA is he worst by far. From long waits on the phone to the waits in line , no 1 department can communicate with another so you have to fax sometimes 4 or 5 times to different numbers. Had a power of attorney and they would not let me withdraw money from the account then froze it until the primary died and now they are taking the money a little each month instead it being able to have been used for his burial!! They are the worst bank I have ever had the misfortune to have to deal with on any level. Are not open to discussing any mistake that they make. Give false information all of the time --seems that each department has a different set of instructions and no 2 can agree. If you do what one person says then another department will make you do something totally different and sometimes it causes penalties. Paid interest on an account above and beyond what I should have due to their false instructions. Would advise anyone looking for a loan of jus a full service bank -- GO TO ANOTHER BANK __ SKIP BANK OF AMERICA -- WORST BANK EVER !!!!

“Bank of America a completely worthless ”

I got caught up in check cashing sham and lost a substantial amount of money called bank of americas fraud department and got absolutely no help was treated like well it wasn't our money that was stolen so why should we care I even tried to give them the name and account number of the ones who perpetrated the fraud because they used a Bank of America account but they weren't interested then to top it all off they charged me a bounced check fee WOW DOSE BANK OF AMERICA SUCK THE BIG ONE OR WHAT THEY ARE NOTHING BUT A CRIMINAL ORGANIZATION PROTECTED BY OUR WORTHLESS GOVERNMENT

“service charges”

I recently received a check for work performed at a business. I was asked to hold the check as there was insufficient funds in the account. When I was told the funds were there I went to Bank of America to cash the check ,as I wanted to make sure of the funds Bank of America charged me $8.00 to cash the check , even though it was written by one of their members. I will never do business with B of A again

“Incredibly dishonest”

This is to inform customer service that I have cleared a two- hour window on my schedule to convey my distrust and complete dissatisfaction with the wat I've been treated, and embarrassed at the p.o.s. due to B of A customer service going above the guidelines , restricting my use and also blocking my card. I have been subjected to confirming my identity with no less than 4 reps on each call for assistance. Which is redundant bc managers are already listening in. As it stands, I attempted to get 5 dollars in gas roughly two hours ago, and couldn't. I'm going online as I write this to post an unfavorable review of my treatment.

“Denied refund of fees after unauthorized charge on card”

TERRIBLE. I was a bank of America card holder for almost 12 years, never missed a payment, never late on a payment. Recently, I stopped using my card on a regular basis and saved it for large purchases/emergencies. Because I never used the card, I rarely checked my e-statements. In April, a company charged my card without my permission and I didn't catch it until August. The company that charged my card rectified the situation and credited my account. I called Bank of America to inform them of the situation and try to get some relieve on 3 months of late fees on a charge that I didn't authorize. No big deal right? Well, they had already shut off my card and closed my account...I didn't even get a phone call about this, just e-statements and emails that I was obviously ignoring as I wasn't using my card. They told me I needed to wait for the company to credit my account, pay the late fees to bring the account up to date and then I could discuss "possibly" getting a credit back for the late fees...after I paid them. It seemed fishy but I did it anyway. Sure enough, called back in and there was "nothing they could do" about the late fees. Card is still shut off...not that I want to do any business with them in the future. If this was my Comerica account or my Credit Union, this would not have been an issue. First of all, they would have called me to notify me that my card was 2-3 months past due and about to be shut off and they would have gladly waived the fees without questioning. Beware of big banks and their complete lack of customer loyalty and customer service. Look into your local Credit Union. I recommend Comerica too.

“The worst customer service”

I was waiting on a phone almost for 2 hours to resolve an online banking issue, they kept connecting me to someone else, kept waiting again, finally been told to hang up and dial 1-800 number again. That's a nightmare! My time is more precious, then dealing with this again!

“Stabbed in the Back by BOA”

I have never been stabbed in the back like BOA did. I'm in Texas while boa 'sold' my account to some small bank in Virginia leaving me with no way to get any cash, no card, nothing. Absolutely nothing. After calling boa they refused to help at all, their only phrase was "I can't do that", I can't, I can't. If you have money in boa, move to a real bank and stay away from this horrid company. They only get one start because ZERO stars is not available.

Do not bank with them. I was in the hospital in pain and could not get to the bank on time to cover an overdraft fee and they would not reverse the $35 charge. $35.00 is a lot of money for them to take from me!!! On top of everything, the supervisors have terrible attitudes and are very rude! I'm changing banks ASAP!

this bank charges you outrageous fees for no reason. They charges me $35 fees even though my account for positive and I had to go through hell with supervisors/managers and corporate office to get my money back. They constantly have system errors. My grandmother used to have another bank for 15 years and decided to give bank of America a try. SHE SWITCHED RIGHT BACK TO HER OLD BANK AFTER BEING WITH BANK OF AMERICA FOR 2 MONTHS. DO NOT USE BANK OF AMERICA EVEN THOUGH THEY TELL YOU THEY ARE THE BEST BANK DO NOT USE BANK OF AMERICA EVEN THOUGH THIS IS THE LAST BANK ON EARTH BOTTOM LINE IF YOU WANT TO PROTECT YOUR MONEY, DO NOT USE BANK OF AMERICA. THEY WILL CHARGE YOU A LOT OF FEES AND TRY TO JUSTIFY THEY CHARGES DO NOT USE THEM IF YOU WANT TO HAVE PEACE OF MIND WITH YOUR MONEY. WE WORK TO HARD FOR OUR MONEY.
