I had a deadline that required setting up anew domain name with hosting and going live all within one day. I had a hitch with the red-tape setup by Nominet so my Domain went into Pending mode. But I received excellent custopmer services/technical help from Free Virtual Servers who have UK based telephone and 24/7 technical online support. I highly recommend Free Virtual Servers. I now have two accounts with them.

We have used FVS for many years now, always had very good customer service, and rapid response to the odd query we have had. (Usually self inflicted !) Would not hesitate in recommending them to anyone, be it a personal or corporate requirement. Maybe not allowed to put our site name in here, but can not fault our page loading times and uptime of the servers. Keep up the good work.

being very new to the world of domain names and website building etc, I needed a great deal of help with setting up. I couldn't have asked for a more helpful, friendly service. I wish I could mention the member of staff by name as I spoke to the same person each time as praise is indeed due. This person was patient, more than helpful and I believe went above and beyond what was expected of him. I took up a great deal of his, what I'm sure is very valuable, time and he took me through every step as though he were my own personal assistant. I would recommend this company very highly and this specific member of staff should be commended as a credit to this company.

The member of staff that I spoke to about a problem with payment was very helpful, friendly and understanding. He said he would look into the problem and dealt with it promptly. I had to ring again as there was still an issue and he was very patient and I did not feel like I was being a nusiance. He dealt with the problem very efficiently and even sent me a message telling me what he had done and that he would continue to monitor the situation and keep intouch. I was very impressed and grateful for his help and kindness.

I was not impressed with their third party software for building websites. Completely rubbish. Full of bugs.whereas if you go to rivals like WIX you would have a perfect professional looking website in minutes.if they change their software maybe I would change my option of them.otherwise customer service is next to none

I was first introduced to FVS by my previous technical manager and never had cause to deal with them direct. After my manager moved on, I had started to deal with the staff at FVS on a personal basis. I cannot speak highly enough of this company; the offer outstanding value and first-class customer service. Nothing is too much trouble and they don't try to bombard you with technical jargon. In summary, I thoroughly recommend FVS to you.

“A professional, considerate outfit.”

Free Virtual Servers: I've experienced many hosting services over the years. Most have been problematic, or limited in some way that only becomes clear after you're committed - usually enough to irritate, but not enough to be worth the trouble of switching. And then, there's a service like this one. It is what it claims to be - a comprehensive, reliable, fair, honest company, owned and run in the UK, staffed by decent folk. The first-line support is handled overseas, but to a high standard, for once, with the result that the whole service is cheap or free. The company makes its profit from extras that you may choose to buy into, or might actually benefit from, but they're optional. I've moved almost all my sites to fvs, and will probably move the few remaining ones when I can. Two gripes, which may be of interest to some: 1. you cannot connect remotely to a MySQL database (hosts that allow this are few and far between, so there are probably excellent security reasons for not allowing this), 2. there is no SQLServer option these days - it's now linux only. I wholeheartedly recommend these guys.

I have tried lots of hosting companies and these guys are the best. As well as very decent prices their customer service is top notch when you need something extra. Oh, and unlike other hosting companies which make you call the phone line for 40 minutes to do certain things, you can do everything online. They offer the most up to date versions of WordPress and MediaWiki as one click installs which you can use very easily - I wanted to build a Semantic Mediawiki which needed the very latest version of Mediawiki and I discovered that other hosting companies just didn't offer it as a one click install. Their support is *excellent* and I could not recommend them more highly.

I recently received a call to say that access to my website had been blocked by Google because they had detected Malware. Visitors to my website were warned ‘Turn Back’ in large red letters. As I'm an IT novice, I immediately went into panic mode – "what am I going to do ?" and "how am I going to get the site up and running again, without delay ?" I started by researching/reading the advice about how to clean up an infected website. This made me even more despondent, as I had difficulty understanding the 'jargon-laden' language. With a desperate appeal for help, I contacted Easy Internet Solutions / Free Virtual Servers as I subscribe to both their website hosting and anti-hacking services. All I can say is that they were AMAZING from beginning to end ! Not only did they provide really good, clear, understandable information, but also gave practical assistance by talking me through the various steps whenever I needed it. Without exception, everyone I spoke with was patient, understanding and supportive. They explained everything simply and extensively, so that even me (the IT novice) could understand the various steps involved in cleaning the site, and getting it up and running again. During the process I learnt many key lessons about how to maintain and (hopefully) keep the site more secure in the future. My website is alive and functioning as is should - thanks to the skill, expertise and outstanding customer service. I have a number of web sites hosted by Free Virtual Servers and would heartily recommend them to anyone contemplating setting up a web site. Establishing the site is easy with FVS and the after care that you receive is outstanding. On the occasions when I have run into trouble (always caused by either my own ineptitude or by third parties changing software) and have had to contact the help desk, my concerns / problems have always been addressed quickly and efficiently. “Excellent customer service”

I had virtually no knowledge of how to build a webpage or exactly what was required. I felt like a five year old going to school on the first day. I was very apprehensive to say the least. The patience, tolerance, and support I received was fantastic. Even when I had to get them to repeat what they had already told several times. The staff who had dealt with me, were "so" supportive, and understanding. Never once was I made to feel like an idiot...even though I felt like one:-) They gave me the confidence to have a go...even though I felt like running in the opposite direction. One member of staff who had helped me in the beginning was off duty at home one evening but still monitoring the FVS site,I was having a problem of my own making, he could see I was about to panic. He remembered me and emailed to say that even though he was at home he would be monitoring the situation and making sure everything went smoothly. Now...you can't get better customer service than that. My gratitude to them always.

The interface, superb as it is, was a bit overwhelming to this silver surfer generation fella - on both occasions that I have phoned for support I got through to talk with a real human being with the minimum of fuss and was talked through my puzzlements with patience and respect - encouraged to fix what I could for myself and - where I couldn't - the technician seemed able to access problem areas from their end and sort it out for me.

In essence, what impressed was that they offered to sort the issue for me, not just offering simples fixes for me to do myself. I had an issue with a key Wordpress file, the implication of which was that my website was effectively useless. They responded within an hour, none of this "we will try to get back to you within 3 working days" rubbish; and were there to help throughout as we jointly tried different approaches. So very impressed with their team, and encouraged that my decision to host with them was the right one

“Support service, domains, hosting, subdomains & redirects”

Since moving from another hosting provider, the service in that time for a variety of my own and client domains has been excellent. On the few occasions there has been a need for help on a minor fault, or use of a more technical feature such as recently redirections on sub-domains for example, the staff advice as always has been courteous and could not wish for a better response, making sure everything has been to end up with the right result. Even though I am pretty well confident about the workings of hand coded html, uploading files, and the use of javascript & php, there are at times some topics used for the first time that you just might need some guidance on and the service from staff have always been patient and help has been greatly valued. So many big business organisations cannot seem to keep customers so often by just not listening to what the customers issue is, or by treating them as complete idiots, but with freevirtualservers as Easy Internet I can confidently say that prospective customers looking for domain names, hosting, or to move from elsewhere, they would be most pleased with the support.

“Amazing customer service and communication”

I've been with FVS for over a year. In that time there have been a few issues which were outside of their control, e.g. email problems when they migrated to a faster server - but you expect that from any hosting service. The difference comes in the customer service, which is outstanding. Questions are dealt with quickly and effectively. You expect to have tech glitches from time to time, and it's how FVS has dealt with those that keeps me as a happy customer.
