3 clutches, 2 flywheels, replacement engine & turbo, several 4 wheel drive switches, driveshaft changed. If you want 1 for work dont bother. For the first couple of years nissan (through wessex of cardiff)hounered warranty claims although never without a fight. After this period i gave up even having it serviced by them. Pickup has now covered 140000 miles & i would have changed earlier but i am waiting for the new vw. Always drove hilux before & never spent any money on them. Make your own mind up, i wont be having another 1.

DONT BUY A NISSAN NAVARRA, ESPECIALLY IN ASIA! They are still installing the FIRST GENERATION DEFECTIVE FLYWHEELS FROM 2005 in their BRAND NEW TRUCKS! After only 35,000 km and still on warranty, the TWO PEICE FLYWHEEL came apart (who ever heard of such a STUPID IDEA as a two peice flywheel). When the flywheel came apart it destroyed the clutch and pressure plate, and Nissan CRVI wont warranty any of it! They have been scamming EVERYONE claiming that the flywheel is part of the clutch... and they dont warranty cluth ONLY ENGINE... but it is a point of FACT that the flywheel is part of the engine... lawsuits going on all over the world with this exact same story, and Nissan just keeps shipping the flywheels to anyone willing to keep using them! THIS FLYWHEEL IS JUNK AND THEY WANT 4500 DOLLARS to fix it! DONT BUY A NAVARRA!

Nissan Navara had a clutch problem. Nissan GB helped me with the claim and the garage Evans Halshaw did complete the work under warranty. Satisfied with the service and the staff from the garage were very helpful.
Nissan have helped rectify the problem. Vehicle is as it should be.

216 k from new original exhaust ,not patched or welded, no rust. only parts changed clutch plate last year (centre shattered ),2 bottom bushes normal things like tyres batteries. not even a glow plug. on the button starting no smoke no rattles tyres last for ever .what a vehicle i want to be buried in this tank of a vehicle. moans, creaking on full lock,no tension on drivers seat belt,Why didnt nissan keep this early engine? would of saved so much bad publicity By the way mine was red as model on bay watch and was one of the first in U K ,Wasnt i the lucky one.P.S.this D 22 was DOUBLE rust proofed with cavity wax ,What an investment.

Totally fed up, reported clutch problems to Nissan before the warranty expired, not interested. 3 weeks outside warranty problem increased, still not interested as warranty expired.Evans Halshaw Middlesbrough.
I am totally disappointed with the service or lack of it. A low mileage example used for family use, imagine how bad it would be if this was used as commercial vehicle!!!! Would not recommend this vehicle to anyone. Nissan GB told me not to worry the clutch, flywheel warranty had been extended to 5 years because Nissan knew there was a problem. Once again total rubbish. Get the customer outside the warranty period and then they are stuck!! That's how it feels.

I would not recomend the Nissan navarra to anyone because they have a serious clutch problem, I have had three clutches and I have only done 96000klms, there was a mod from Nissan in 2007 but I dont know what it was, however I have not found a good Nissan dealership there after sales service is rubish, they dont tighten things up, they have left off the engine gaurds from underneath and all the time blame me for problems, Do Not Buy a NISSAN.

was very happy with the '04 rally raid D22 engine,at first. Then it started to have problems turning over. New battery £110, crankshaft sensor £40, New starter moter £500 (nissan) £170 Millner 4x4 Guess which I got! 2weeks ago rattle from engine followed by no3 bearing failing and con rod exiting crankcase behind starter motor, Car now been at local main Nissan dealer waiting to be stripped and a report made, they may offer to replace parts and I pay labour, but no word as yet. Car now has almost 34,000 miles on the clock. When it gets fixed it's for sale

Hi, I also have a 04 Rally Raid and have had the same con rod problem, I paid SMK Nissan Specialists in Bradford to fit a reconditioned short motor and head at a cost of £2400 inc VAT, I have since done 4600 miles and am getting worried as it has started sounding noisy in the mornings again, just like it did before it blew up the last time. I will be giving SMK a call soon to discuss what the cause might be.

Paid 11k for a Fab Black aventura 06 plate with only 28k on clock. Looks absolutely Fantastic but looks can be deceiving. Had for 15 months and have paid out 2k so far on new clutch and flywheel. Just took for service and told there is a major problem. Making a knocking noise and miss firing. Told will need engine rebuild. These pickups look fantastic but are very unreliable. Shame on Nissan for ignoring these problems and making hard working people pay out thousands to put them right. ***AVOID AT ALL COSTS ***

Navara D40, What a complete pile of cr*p. Paid 14000 pounds for it with only 30,000 miles on it, thought i'd got a real bargain after my Navara d22 was so good. I was very wrong, 2500 on a clutch and flywheel upgrade, 250 on an ABS sensor because nissan put them in a stupid place, 550 on sensors for the gear box, 1800 on prop shaft problems, and thats the end of the line, ive just got rid of it! DO NOT BUY ONE OF THESE CARS!! It'll off road quite well but if you drive through long grass at more than 5mph the grass whips the ABS sensor wiring and splits it, dont tow more than half a ton or the clutch will burn out, and don't even think about working it hard because it'll throw a fit and snap its own drive shafts because they are too weak for purpose! Nissan know about these problems and WILL NOT help you 1 bit, they will charge you through the nose and smile when they do it. Going to switch to a mitsubishi because i need a bit more reliability.

My d22 was fantastic until my engine blew at 112,000 miles i took it to nissan and they bent over backwards to help i eventually ended up with a brand new full engine not short engine free of charge all i had to pay was the labour but you do need full service history full marks to nissan

good workhorse been good up to last week when conrod came out of the side of the block.this pickup was serviced on the dot.my advise is if you have one get rid of it.if looking to buy one please beware i am looking at a repair bill £3300.00 +vat .that is using nissan parts but a independent garage.also nissan worcester inspected the pickup and striped the down only to tell me it would not be eligable for a new engine because it was older than 5years and was a import.they were aware of both facts before i took to them.now they are going to charge me £420+vat.cheers nissan from one pissoff farmer in herefordshire that will never buy a new nissan again.....

I bought a new 2010 Navara Tekna Satnav 6 months ago at £26000 inc VAT, after having owned two Navaras in the past that I have been very pleased with, I thought I'd push the boat out and get the top of the range...MISTAKE...It has absolutely no power below 1500 revs, then when the turbo finally spins up you're off like a "bat out of hell". It cuts out on the over run and continues to rev up when changing gear. Passenger window closes at a snails pace, SatNav screen rattles - gave the dash a bang with the palm of my hand to see if it would stop it rattling and the facia fell off the central storage compartment ! Taken it back to Nissan - couldn't find a rattle (typical) and after plugging it into the computer they say that it's fine and that's how they are!!!! I hate it that much that I've sold it after 6 months at a loss of £6000.

This is a Navara D40 and was bought from new for commercial use.Nice to drive , fast and seemingly powerfull machine but reliability is a joke.Never use it to tow heavy loads as the engine/gearbox/clutch combination are mismatched and you will need a new clutch in no time.Rear wheel bearing failure requires a complete half shaft at £600! my vehicle history = 35k two new rear wheelbearings/ 44k new clutch/65k new rear wheelbearings/ 75k new turbo/ 85k new turbo..when i mentioned to the dealer i used it for towing he said they were not designed to tow !i will never buy a Nissan again..total rubbish

An absolute total disaster, a nightmare of epic proportions. This vehicle is not fit for purpose.Needed new gearbox, transfer box, diff, rear axle, new clutch. You get the picture...
Has now been out of action for two months. No vehicle,no work as im self employed. On top of this repair bills are massive. Will never buy another nissan again.
DO NOT TOUCH THIS VEHICLE WITH A BARGEPOLE!

I bought the car second hand a year ago does not have three years on the road and the enigin burn the company to disclaim responsibility for false claims and require me to buy a new engine in 75 000 NIS I really do not recommend buying such vehicles and Nissan company at all !!!!! also the car was alweys treated in Nissan garages and challenges of liability claims the oil company whose name is not correct are ridiculous

had this nissan navara adventura from new.its now on 73000 miles and i have had no trouble with it,in fact it still feels new mechanically,i have used this truck daily in my work(construction)and have not been gentle with it even towing hgv wagons at times, and when off site and on the roads its still recieved some stick, which it handles well.i have not used nissan for services due to the cost, instead i serviced it every 10,000 instead of recommended 18,000 miles, using genuine nissan parts(this does not affect the warranty)by a v.good independent.i have heard some horror stories about these trucks but i think these camrod defects were ironed out with the change of shape in 2006,i also have several hgv;s which are bad starters during the winter months,so i use the navara to start them using jump leads and its still on the original battery!
fuel economy is what you would expect for a heavy truck,i get about 30-34 mpg which is fine by me,so overall i would recommend this truck, and i have no plans nor reason to change it.
