Do Not Buy !!

The babystyle oyster has issues with it front wheels - when you hit a small crack or bump in the ground the pushchair stops dead and if it was not for the harness your child would be catapulted out of the front. It is fine if you wish to use for shopping centres or very smooth flat surfaces but not for your average pavement, I was crossing a road with this pushchair and hit a small imperfection in the road and the pushchair stopped and its wheels started to bend underneath it, but it would not move til I tilted it backwards all whilst in the middle of the road. I had my four year old with me it was very dangerous. The oyster is fine for your average six month old baby but it has no height in the hood so an average child will outgrow v. quickly. When the pushchair is in rearward facing mode and lie flat mode it make the oyster very hard to lift up kerbs because all the weight is on the front of the pushchair. The colour pack idea is all very well and good fun but the bag and the liner you dont really need, so the only essential part of the kit is the hood very pricey at £50.00 on top of the pushchair price !! The pushchair when in forward facing mode is difficult to recline into a sleeping position because of this pricy hood as it catches as you try and recline the seat as there is not enough room between the handle bars. The viewing window in the hood is useless as when the hood is attached all you get a veiw of is the back of the pushchair. When my child was in this pushchair and the leg rest was down. she would slide into the crutch belt and it was the only thing holding her in as the seat is not deep enough and last but not least with my complaints about this pushchair is the footmuff it is very thin, my daughter would had I kept it long enough need extra blankets when it was really cold. The only positive thing I can think to say about this pushchair is it has a big shopping basket !! I rest my case ! I spent £350 on this pushchair and I really don't want others to make the same mistake as me hence writing this review.

I bought this too and i dont know why it has such good reviews; the seat unit is shallow and straps too short, my daughter just slides to the bottom of it then the strap digs in which must me uncomfortable. considering this pram is suited to aged 3 i very much doubt it, my daughter is and averaged sized 18m old and theres just no room in it!!

Lots Of Researching.....no Regrets Over Choice

The decision over which pram to get took us ages. Theres so much choice. For me I had to like the 'look' of it.....but equally I wanted it to be light weight, practical, good for dog walking and of course comfortable for the little one.

I loved the ICandy peach but couldn't justify spending a grand on a pram.I spotted the Babystyle Oyster in my local baby shop, initailly drawn to it by the compact, clean look. After getting my husband to see it we decided to go for it.....and now, 2 months after using it regularly, am so glad we got the Oyster Plush (slate grey).

We got the plush as it came with all the extras (bag, raincovers etc....have used the raincover loads....the carrycot cover fits nicely over the car seat when using it too so didnt need to buy another). The slate grey is great colour...the whole system is easy on the eye which is always a bonus in my opinion!

It is so light and easy to push. A comfy ride for baby and the 'pusher'. Im 5"5/husband 6"1 - with the easy to alter handbar - we both push it with ease.

Putting it up/down is so easy. The carry cot/stroller go straight on the chassis, as does the Britax car seat we got.

Chassis and carry cot fit into both our cars (smallest been a Fiesta). This is without having to take wheels off etc like we would have had to do with other prams.

Final word...my sister is an unoffical expert! (Shes had loads of prams in her time) and will be buying this for her pending little one.

wait until you have had it for six months. Oyster seem to ignore they have re-occuring problems with this pram. They include a chasis that is not fit for purpose, it splits near to joints. The wheels lock both at the front and the back. The brake locks whilst the pram is moving, which could cause a child serious injury if not strapped in. The rainhood does not fit properly. When your child is 7-8 months they look to big for the pram. Good price!!!!! for rubbish
