Lord Nelson

I've just moved into a new flat in Southwark, and almost immediately went out to explore my local pubs. This gem is just off the Cut in Waterloo. It looks pretty ropey from the outside, and is built into what looks like a council estate building, but don't let that put you off. This pub is real gem, and offers a little bit of Shoreditch not far from the Southbank.

It has quirky interior design & cool bar staff, and a relatively young (mid-twenties crowd), with no suits - which is quite good for that area.

When the weathers good, they even put on a BBQ outside. Definitely worth a visit if you're in the area.
