This Vehicle Is Phenomenally Reliable. My 2002, 4
This vehicle is phenomenally reliable. My 2002, 4 cylinder, 2.0 litre 4x4 Chevrolet Tracker, has done 163,000km so far, and I have not put a wrench on it. Oil and fuel filters are all that have been required. The brakes, tyres, and serpentine belt, etc... are all original, and the vehicle runs flawlessly.
Vehicles this reliable are impossible to find! It is the most reliable vehicle I have ever owned!

The Chevrolet Tracker Is A Great Small Suv For Tow
The Chevrolet Tracker is a great small SUV for town and country. Great gas milleage, smooth 2.0L engine and manual transmission, maneuverability and good looks make this rig my first choice as a daily driver-commuter-hauler vehicle!

Overall A Fine S.u.v. No Rattles Or Squeeks, Good
overall a fine s.u.v. no rattles or squeeks, good on gas, although underpowered with the 2.o litre 4 cyl. engine it is reliable and torguey on bottom end.
Why are you guys reviewing this as a Chevrolet ?
the tracker is an Oriental Import.
I own a somwhat earlier Blazer ( like the
opel / vauxhall frontera without the sophistication )
it too is heavy , underpowered and with its 2.2
litre GM engine returns a lousy 22 mpg.
a real result however can be had from Ford
I also own a 4.0 litre 370 BHP motor ca which has a 1.8 ton kerb weight.
22 mpg cruising ( 95 - 120 mph over 1000 miles )
20 mpg in town.
it is also automatic - NORMAL gearbox versions do better.
get real guys.

It would seem that his complaint lies with him, his choice of the 4 cylinder engine. Why did he get the "4" if he wants great power? I chose the "4" and it has all the power I want. I made the right choice. I find it can briskly accelerate to speeds faster than I am ever likely to drive and I have no interest in burning rubber at stop lights. Mine is a 2002 4x4 4dr and I have been absolutely delighted with it. No problems and gasoline mileage from 0 to 11,000 miles of 27.8 US mpg. I did add mud flaps to reduce the impingement noise and dings from gravel being thrown from tire tread when returning to the highway.
