I Wonder If Saab Are Making Cheap And Unreliable C

I wonder if Saab are making cheap and unreliable cars and then selling them at £26K under the pretence of being a premium brand. We rejected this car and sent it back after a few weeks. We first gave them a chance to fix it, but the service agent and Saab said that the on-board computer didn't record the faults, so there were on faults to fix. So, the on-board system was also defective. They also suggested that we could call the AA whenever it failed to start.

Our other car is a Jaguar X-Type. Ours is fast, brilliant to drive, economical and utterly reliable. And £5K cheaper than the Saab to buy. We've ordered an Audi A4 Cabriolet to replace the Saab, and with a dealer discount it's £3k cheaper than the Saab.

I'll never consider Saab again. Cheaply built, but overpriced - it commits the cardinal sin of not starting. Actually, the cheap cars I have driven are better made than the Saab I bought.

These comments can only relate to a car supplied with faults, and certainly not a new car otherwise you cannot just 'send it back'. I've had a jaguar X type also and found it comfortable, averagely reliable, but heavy on fuel at 2.5 litres and with huge depreciation. My Saab 93 Convertible 2.0T Aero is absolutely superb in terms of premium build quality, reliability, comfort, and performance. It equals BMW as a quality convertible but is more roomy in the back and the hood is fully operational from the key fob alone- no fiddling with clasps and clips. On engine equivalents the Saab is turbo charged for power at the important speeds- never mind the stats of top speed and 0-60, these are not real life driving and the Saab scores on both comfort, mequipment and performance with equal build quality. The sales and service departments were utterly impeccable to deal with and after 32000 trouble free miles from a one year old car I would definitely buy Saab again. I can assure readers that Saab does not make cheap and unreliable cars, many a better buy financially than any Jaguar which depreciate horribly.

Saab 900s 5 Door - Excellent Styling, Reasonable C

SAAB 900S 5 Door - Excellent styling, reasonable comfort, reliable. Why develop a model that echoes the glorious styling of the old 900S then pop the oil filter in the wrong place and squash the driver and passenger together - I can't sit in the front passenger seat with my legs streched out and feet side-by-side. If I wear a coat I can inadvertently start opening and closing windows as buttons get pressed accidentally. Marvellously large boots and nice echo of the former classic.

I Have The New Model Saab 9-3 Convertible Se 2.0t

I have the new model Saab 9-3 Convertible SE 2.0T Aero Cab and compared to the old version this car is now almost perfect.

There is no body shake at all, performance is more than adequate. There is also enough room in the back for two passengers without too much compromise. It is easily the most comforatable car I have ever driven, suprising with such fantastic roadholding as well. I have had the car 10 months now and realy can't fault it.

I tested many other 4 seat cabrio's before I bought it. Saab sales treated me like royalty.
