I Would Recommend This Car To Anyone Who Likes Goo
I would recommend this car to anyone who likes good looks and good performance for a good price. Not as cheep to maintain as a commodore but not as bulky and better performance.
I have not had many issue's rocket cover gasket leak and oil level sensor leak (big) not too expensive to replace. I will recommend do regular servicing on the auto transmission. They need it.
I love the fact that a MY99/00 WRX pulls up next to me at lights and and I keep up until his turbo spools up, then they pull away for a bit.

Absolutly The Worse Car I Have Ever Owned. Lost 1,
Absolutly the worse car I have ever owned. Lost 1,000.00's on the resale after owning for less than one year. Vehicle is unstable at speed(far inferior to a Commodore). Interior is shaby compared to other vehicles in its class. Performance is barely adaquate, fuel economy is good. Could not see any reason to recomend this vehicle to anyone. Had faults with engine management that had the dealer baffled.

After 3 Years, I Still Look Forward To Driving My
After 3 years, I still look forward to driving my 1999 Holden JS Vectra CD car. Performance and handling are still class leading and fuel economy has if anything improved over time, with a best of 6.1l/100km achieved on a trip from Melbourne to Benalla.
The Vectra is still very enjoyable to steer over a winding mountain pass, and replacing the OEM Bridgestones with Yokohama A539's improved it even further.
Definitely a good second-hand car to put on your shopping list if you're after a capable interstate cruiser. the 500 litre boot is bigger than a Commodores, and the comfort and safety features, such as ABS, TCS and cruise are excellent.

One Of The Nicest Looking Medium Size Cars On The
One of the nicest looking medium size cars on the road, the Vectra is a solidly built European alternative to the flock of family cars coming out of Asia. The 2.2 litre twin overhead cam motor provides a strong 200Nm of torque and 104kW of power, giving brisk acceleration, and easy highway cruising, while also returning class leading fuel economy of around 8l/100km in town and 6l/100km on the highway. Despite being front-wheel drive, the Vectra turns in confidently exhibiting only mild understeer. When pushed through the twisty bits, the attitude can be nicely balanced with throttle and brake to tuck the nose in when it runs wide. Overall the Vectra is a beautiful package, and great fun to drive.
I can't comment on your car, but I've done almost 100,000km in my 1999 Holden Vectra, and its never let me down. Its a great car and we'll be keeping it for a while yet. Its also worth noting that the Holden version has better tuned suspension and better gearing than the UK model.
this review is pretty bias for the vectra. as im an owner of a vectra 98 cdx model with leather i find the car unresponsive compared to it older brother the cavalier. vauxhall vectras under steer so much that you need a 3 lane road to get one round the bend at speed it has awful handling compared to my mates basic laguna 2 litre the seats are to hard making long distance driving a pain in the a**e ive done 110000 miles in it, dont get me wrong its been a good car but they do have problems like the cambelt tensioners sieze up causing the belt to snap in turn taking you bank balance down big time or on the other hand the egr valve also can sieze also the idle control valve fails causing it to stall and tick over at 3000 rpms when it feels like it basically the cars no oil painting but value for money is not bad at all comparing the options laguna, modeo, etc the vectra is a sensible choice but you have been warded about the common faults these are common my brothers a mechanic at network q
