RoyalMail international business tracking and signature services is currently having a huge issue with incorrectly sorted international business mail. Royal Mail has located the problem to "human sorting errors at the Heathrow international busineess mail sorting center", however very little appear to have been done to sort out the issue. The rate of incorrectly sorted mail has increased massively from February 2015 and the problem is ongoing. The problem is that RoyalMail appear to be incapable of sorting out this issue. We see parcels that are PRE-SORTED for 1) "Europe" and 2) "Rest of the world" getting mixed up. Parcels for Sweden goes to Australia, parcels to "Australia goes to Sweden", and indeed parcels to the Philippines goes to Malaysia. It appears unbelievable that pre-sorted parcels for Europe can be sent to "Rest of the World" and vice versa. In our view the only explanation must be that workers at RoyalMail international business mail sorting center at Heathrow intentionally sort mail incorrectly.
The rate of errors has increased at an alarming rate since February 2015, the problem is, calling RM and complaining about the issue does not appear to have any impact at all, the reply is "we are aware of the problem AND it is likely to CONTINUE the same way in the FORSEEABLE FUTURE!!!!! So even if aware of the problem RoyalMail has actually not done anything to sort it out, and there does not appear to be any intent of doing so!
The problem is that even if parcels eventually may arrive to the correct address the delay in arrival time may be up to 3 months! The business customer can only get compensation for the mailing cost if a parcel arrives late - not for the content. If we want to look after our customers we would have to send a new replacement and hope that the replacement will be sorted correctly - and be out of pocket for sending two items for the price of one - possibly having to pay also two mailing costs as RoyalMail might refuse to compensate for mail delivered way to late.

For any business considering to sign up for RoyalMail international business mail we regrettably have to recommend that you do not do so.
The most alarming thing is that RoyalMail appear ignorant to address the issue even if they have located the place where the error occurs.
RoyalMail should train their staff - and they should fire workers that INTENTIONALLY appear to sort international mail incorrectly.
AVOID THIS SERVICE.
I hope RoyalMail will accept cancellation of our contract prematurely. There is a penalty fee for ending contracts early - we do not think it should apply since we easily would exceed the minumum sent mail annually but will not do so if we have to end the contract early).
We have been RoyalMail International Business Customers for years but the error rate is today totally unacceptable.

I regret to say we can only recommend that other small businesses
AVOID Royal Mail International Business Tracking and Signature Mail Services - as your reputation will be put at risk, and each error causes time consuming discussions with both your own customers and with RoyalMail. Royal Mail is also way to slow to alloy you to open a case.
