Recently I sold my sons electronic piano on ebay. We used Hermes for delivery and It was well wrapped up to protect during transit and marked fragile. It arrived with the buyer badly damaged indicating a very poor and inconsiderate delivery service. We paid Hermes for insurance in case of loss or damage but when we claimed Hermes responded that musical instruments are not included. Incredible!. To top this we recently sold another item on ebay, this time a kayak trolley. We posted the item a week ago and the buyer reported yesterday that they had still not received it. When we checked with Hermes they responded that they had lost the item. So, based on the above we have now used Hermes twice with one item arriving badly damaged and the other lost. Please do not use this courier company, they are inept, and incapable. What really upsets me is my son having to pay back the money that he would have otherwise earnt from proactively selling his second-hand belongings. Shame on you Hermes!
