APALLING SERVICE

absolutely appalling non existent service. I arranged for a parcel to be collected and then delivered to my home address. Paid for the service, entered into an agreement which should have had the parcel collected and delivered within 48 hours. No collection or attempted collection made within 36 hours. Hermes advised to give them another 24 hours so they could contact the courier and 'make' them pick up the parcel. 24 hours passed, still no collection and therefore no delivery within the agreed 48 hours. The parcel was urgent and there was no sign that Hermes would get this parcel so after a 5 1/2 hour round trip and some £40 in petrol I arrived home with the parcel. Contacted Hermes yet again as there still hadn't been any attempt to collect the parcel, this is now 72 hours. Had so many excuses, the label expired, I cancelled the order, they had no idea why the parcel wasn't collected. Finally refunded my fee but refuse to pay any compensation even though they breached their contract. To add insult to injury they have offered a £10 goodwill gesture.... DO NOT USE HERMES
