This was my first order from compostdirect.com and delivery was very fast. Compost looks excellent, a lovely dark and crumbly, completely different to anything I could ever make in my own garden compost heap. Wish I’d thought to order it online sooner!

I ordered 2 bags of black gold to be delivered. The delivery company contacted me the following day as promised and we were able to book in a day for delivery. Our road is quite narrow and often busy with cars, but they were able to arrange delivery on a 7.5t lorry and also arrive at a time when the road was quieter. Delivery driver couldn’t have been more helpful. Result; a very happy customer and would definitely recommend.

My third order and always very pleased with product and service. Expect there will be a fourth order…

I ordered from compostdirect as it was the best value compost I could find online, plus it was all peat free which is important to me that I only use ethical products in my garden. Very happy all round

I treated my garden to some mulch last year and was so pleased I order a couple more bags this year. The product itself is a compost base with some coarser sticks/woodchip mixed through, it looks really smart and the fine compost seems to get drawn down into the soil over the year leaving the coarser stuff on top to cover the soil. Seem to work well. Delivery and support has been excellent also

I ordered compost, black gold, multipurpose topsoil and some bark. All have been excellent. A few small lumps in the topsoil but only lumps of the product itself, nothing that shouldn’t have been in there. I knocked the lumps with the back of my fork and they soon crumbled. Great value for the quality, I have paid twice as much in the past for a lesser product!

I found compostdirect.com online after reading some blogs recommending them. I thought id give them a try and was not disappointed. Compost is of professional quality and great value. I would thoroughly recommend to anyone

I was searching for ways of improving my heavy soil and came across horticultural grit from compost direct. I tried a bulk bag and it has really helped improve the drainage in my soil. It is like a tiny golden gravel ( I think the website says 1-4mm) which mixes nicely through the soil and helps open it up and allow water to drain. I might try the jubilee compost next time which has grit and compost already mixed, looks like a great idea. Only downside was that the bag is very heavy so took a bit of manoeuvring to unload with pallet trolley but delivery driver was extremely helpful and we got there in the end.

Have bought Veggie Gold to fill my new raised beds. Ive not shovelled them in yet but initial inspections look great, a nice crumbly dark soil, exactly as I had hoped for. Delivery driver did a good job too at getting the bags as close to my beds as he could. I would give it 5 stars but am holding one back until I see the harvest but sure it will be great!

I ordered a jumbo bag of ornamental bark and went for the 1500 litre bag. Bag is massive and was more than enough for what I needed but was great value so I wasn’t worried. Quality was great too, nice sized bark pieces with a lovely pine fragrance to it. It is worth noting that delivery was on a pallet and needs to be delivered onto a flat hard surface and the wheels on the pallet trolley are quite small so cant go onto grass or gravel. Delivery driver was great though and did his best to leave bag where I needed it. It wouldn’t put me off ordering again though as this is how most companies seem to deliver.

I ordered a load of Black Gold compost – communication was great and delivery was on time. I have now spread the compost over my garden and am very pleased with it. The odd small stick here and there but no real issues and compost is not smelly like other composts I have bought previously. Will wait to see how garden performs, but so far so good.
