Considering using Pet Protect, you may want to refer to clause 5.2.11
You are not covered for "preventative and routine treatments"
My old english sheepdog required life saving surgery for a split abdomen, however after making the claim after his operation they advised this was "a preventative procedure". I happen to agree, as it was to prevent him from dying.
I can only assume all treatments are either preventative or routine, and therefore can be exempt if they feel the need.
So you basically end up paying £300 a year for a piece of paper, that while looks nice, doesn't actually cover you for anything.
