“shocking healthy pets”

★☆☆☆☆

written by ecuevo12345 on 21/07/2011

well where do i start, ive been with healthy pets no for 5 years and have a black lab.

i started paying £15 a month or there abouts i think. now to be fair my lab has had a lot of ops for elbow displacia, also has an ongoing condition for epilepsy so i understand that his premium should rise.

it slowly went up to £25 a month which was fine then all of a sudden jumped to £54 a month and now all of a sudden up to £82 a month

i spoke to them regarding this and their reply was due to the amount of pay outs on this breed they have had to increase the cost of this breeds premium. still annoyed by the renewal quote as i pretended to be a new customer and got a quote. i was shocked to see it was £50 per month and not £80

i have a newfoundland which is insured by petplan at a cost of £50 per month and im sure everyone knows that the larger the breed the higher the premium so i cant understand how healthy pets can charge these fees for a lab. it also makes me laugh that on their homepage they compare themselves to other companies like petplan and say they are cheaper yet i have shown this to be false

to give healthy pets some credit they have always paid out and quickly but now i think they are just trying to out price me so i move elswhere!!

im going to take it 1 step further and report them to the fsa. it may be a waste of time but if you dont try you dont get

my advise stay well away! ive now had to move as i cant afford to insure him with healthy pets anymore. its £30 a month cheaper for me to insure him with petplan with his exclusions and pay for his epilepsy treatment than it is to insure with healthy pets. ive taken a chance on the fact his elbow displacia seems to be completly healed so shouldnt have to claim again. if i do have to claim i will have to find the cash myself

avoid at all costs or it will cost you
