“Lie and dont Reply”

They lie time and time Again!! That's if you ever even get a reply from them! They use below the belt tactics to get out of redress claims! And then Time waste time and time Again!! I wouldn't recommend them to my worst enemy!!! Do yourselves a favour and go Elsewhere

Called them several times to resolve… Called them several times to resolve them using the incorrect bank details. Was then told they would remove the bank details. They did. Was then told to re enter them. I couldn't. Called customer service 6 times to resolve this issue. They couldn't. From being told re re fresh web browsers to apps etc. All they kept saying was this issue has been passed to our specialist department, but we cant tell you when, they will respond. Customer experience is beyond Bad. If I could leave a worse rating than 1 star I would. Was asked to contact them upon my posting of another review, which I did with them going to review my file. As of today 2 April still no response from them. Just shows me that even the complaints department are as inefficient as their call centre staff. All round poor experience.

This company perform no real affordability checks they just lend to people and then profit off their misery. They ask for read only access to your bank account although they ignore all the warning signs they can see. They keep lending despite being in serious financial difficulty. Maximum profits minimum customer care!! I would suggest anyone with a poor experience with this company reviews on trust pilot also as they advertise there score and only the good reviews on their website.

“Worst company ever”

★☆☆☆☆

written by sadsunbeam on 27/03/2018

These monsters will access your bank whether you've cancelled CPA or not. I set alarms extremely early so when I get paid from work I can hide my money in my savings account. But guess what, safety net beat me to it and have taken £294 from me. I now have barely any wages left andI have massive vetbills to pay. It's 3:10am and I'm crying and panicking. They've removed the facility for me to borrow it back so I'm screwed. Do not touch these monsters with a barge pole !!!!!!! To confirm cpa was cancelled and my bank details changed!!!! But they can still access my account!!

“Nightmare!”

★☆☆☆☆

written by MadysonUnderwood1945 on 25/08/2017

Once they manage your account, you will be out of control of your money. They took away double repayments from my account, and still want money from me. Sick company, they can do what they want with your dd. My situation is terrible, because they cancelled one repayment from my statement(as they didn't take it) and now want to take it again from me. I was so stupid to give them my online login... they are able to do everything with my account, even manage repayments, take money and later this dissapears from your statement but money has gone.. Sick nightmare, don't know how to stop it now.

“Online info”

★☆☆☆☆

written by Hollandeg97 on 29/06/2017

There is absolutely no way that I would divulge my online banking log on details to anyone let alone a 3rd party so called loan company. They do NOT need your online details to set up your account or process your loan application so the question is, 'WHY?' Best avoid and stay safe!

KEEP CLEAR

I agree. I was just getting to the end of this application and wondered why would it be necessary and why anyone would give such details. Very dodgy indeed and can't believe some people are actually given good feedback on it too unless they are a part of it.

“Absolute Joke”

★☆☆☆☆

written by Kennedyh336 on 23/12/2016

Safetynet Took money from my bank to repay my loan every single time my wages/tax credits went in. Which wasn't too much of a problem. Until recently. I have had to have time off work due to a family member being ill so a friend very kindly gave me some money for my Christmas food shopping which safety net took from my account less than 12 hours later. I borrowed the money straight back but of course due to interest I was £20 down. I emailed them and their reply was basically "nothing we can do, its our policy" I continued to change my online banking details thinking that if they couldn't access my account then they wouldn't know how much I've got therefore I could pay back on my terms. They rang me to tell me that if they couldn't access it then they would take the full amount outstanding when they "think" I get paid. Then had the cheek to ask me to call them back if I was experiencing financial difficulties despite me already explaining my situation. I have now canceled the CPA with my bank. I could go on in more detail about how unhelpful and just plain wrong they were. Do not trust these fools!!!!

“Full access to your online banking !”

★☆☆☆☆

written by McAllister1967 on 20/12/2016

I completed the online application for a small £100 loan. I didn't mind giving my bank account sort code, account number ond card number, but when they asked for my online banking password and memorable information, WHAT? giving them full access to my bank account ! er, no thanks, I'll give it a miss. They shouldn't even be allowed to ask for that BY LAW in my opinion.

“Frustrating!”

★☆☆☆☆

written by Softlad_47 on 13/05/2016

I had an error message today telling me they can't connect to my bank. They can take the money back easily enough though! I had an email back to say there were technical issues and I should log into my bank account to check if they required any additional information, which of course they didn't. 2 payments taken in a fortnight which has left me short until the end of the month and unable to borrow the credit increase I got only this morning! I think I may be paying these back and getting rid after this month. Be very careful before committing people!

“Never receive funds in my bank account. awaiting...”

★☆☆☆☆

written by bbfox on 14/04/2016

Last night, I couldn't sleep as from 6 weeks ago, my employer forgotten to pay a week's shift I'd done and its taken now up to 6 weeks to retify and so I am still waiting for my employer to pay me what i'm owe. since 6 weeks ago, I had ruined my finance plans and made me incur bank charges do to bounced direct debits and now fallen slightly behind on household bills. So i tried all this morning looking for a loan and came across SafetyNet Credit. After receiving emails from them and started filling out the application and ended up with phoning them and speaking to Ali, one of their representative who helped and advise me why and how to change my passcode and memorable on my online bank log in. we swiftly moved through the application where it resulted that I was accepted for a loan in which I confirm to take and Ali processed it through. I asked many questions throughout the application process and was happy with the answers although was I bit reluctant to understand why they wanted me to change my log in set up on my bank. but he reassured me its only for them to read only and to see whats coming into my account. its very scary to think they can do that but as im in need of this loan - i didnt think much more. he assured that they will keep an eye on my incoming so they can take the repayment automatic from my account. he also told me it will take 15mins to 2 hours for the loan to reach my account. i waited and waited and ended up calling then 20mins before it hit the 2 hours slot. i was then advise that my account no was wrong and that the loan went elsewhere??? apparently out of the 8 digit account number i'd given, 1 digit was wrong! then got me thinking - how weird! out of all the digits they can get wrong..such in my date of birth, the 16 digits long card no. on the front of my bank card or even my telephone numbers - they get the account no. wrong!!! so looking at my dashboard account i have with safetynet credit - its reads they i have to repay £201.60 (as the 80p per a £100 interest has already been added) but my balance is in credit with £14 which was what my balance was before i went with them. I spoke to 3 people, they all advise that i should call them by 3pm tomorrow as (hopefully, they all said) the £200 will bounce back into their account, the interests will be written off and then i can openly borrow whatever i can again after 3pm tomorrow. My main concern is, i get paid Saturday, today is Thursday so if nothing is resolved by tomorrow, what if SafetyNet Credit tries to take my salary on saturday for the repayment of loan I didnt receive plus those interest charges??? i quickly phoned my bank as having reading up on reviews. I will now leave it until tomorrow and will call them by 3pm and will review their actions tomorrow. the reps on teh phone sounds like they are reading from scripts and after awhile somewhat sounds patronising as repeatly says, I do apology....Again, I am so sorry...I understand and I can only apology again....i don't think they know what they are allow to say or not, like they are hiding how they word things. they words do leave me unstable with how to trust what they are saying now. I was very pleased from the first call and struggled with the following 3 calls (I made to them)!!! im left dissappointed as its not put me in a even worst financial situation to begin with!

“A complete waste of time ”

★☆☆☆☆

written by Davetherave72 on 25/03/2016

Having read a few reviews on this company I decided to approach them for a line of credit ! Filled in the application form and complete the bank detail section and was told my application was being processed! 4 hours passed and still processing so I telephoned them to see what was going on ! There's a problem accessing your bank account , so I did it all again and waited several hours and again nothing ! I then telephoned again to be told it looked like my bank account had been locked , I was advise to log into my bank account to see if all was ok , it wasn't I was locked out and had to reset all my passwords , I did this and the following morning there was still no news ! Cut a long story short ! Bank account locked again and according to the bank the third party trying to access my account had I putted the wrong details time and time again even though they had the correct details ! Here I am 48 hrs later , still no safety net account and having to reset my bank passwords for a third time ! Honestly this company are a waste of time ! Do tourselves a favour and go elsewhere

“Absolutely rubbish, avoid like the plague.”

★☆☆☆☆

written by Iwereiogony on 26/11/2015

Last month I applied for credit with this company and they awarded me £230 which was very hard to get hold of since an error message kept on coming up.... "Cannot connect to your bank." I did manage to sort it out after much faffing about and duly repaid it in full when my salary went in. This month I wondered why their automatic payment hadn`t been made as my funds are quite low. I could see that the company has disabled automatic payments. No email to me or any explanation why. Appalling customer services and I shall never recommend them to anyone except people I don`t like.

Yes it is perfectly safe. I too had my doubts and it stopped me from applying sooner. I then made enquiries about the system that Safety Net Credit use and it's rather like "read only" on a document that can't be changed. The way in which Safety Net works means it has to be able to view your account balance to place the "safety net of funds" into your account. You will find that the realtime report they can show you helps you understand your spending habits. It helped me. I work in compliance I would always recommend Safety Net. Good Luck
