Carb.rebuilt once carb.replaced 2 times Towed off lake 2 times paddled off twice did not start 3 times. Called yamaha customer service no reply called again no help. called boss of customer service 3 times no reply.That was last year.this year would not start took it back PAID 96.00 put the motor in back of truck drove 8 miles stoped at Tims for coffee a pint of oil on floor and all over Golf bag. Dealer offers to buy motor back for $500.00 I wish I had My 1982 merc.4 HP back it run.

Great engine which I have used often for the past 7 years. The engine is very sensitive to dirty fuel. The first year I had the engine I was ready trash it until I carefully cleaned the fuel tank and filter. Since then, I have made sure the fuel I put in the tank is free of water and dirt, it has been very reliable for my inflatable tender.
