How is this company still running...complete shambles!

I normally read reviews online about a company before ordering something expensive, the only time I didn't was this time I ordered the Mad Dash garden playhouse from OutdoorToysDirect.co.uk on the 1st July.

On checkout I was able to choose a delivery date, the earliest was just under 2 weeks away which was the Saturday 12th July, perfect I thought as it was my daughters 4th Birthday present which is on the 13th July.

Called to confirm a few days before that the delivery was still on schedule...yes everything looks fine sir, delivery should be with you on Saturday.

Rang Saturday morning to confirm again, at this point I had since read the terrible reviews about the companies fairytale delivery promises, and surprise surprise...We are very sorry sir but it looks like there was a loading error on the delivery truck...but I can promise you it will be loaded onto the next delivery truck on Tuesday 15th, I said is this 100% being delivered on the 15th because I am going to promise my daughter once again that her present will be here Tuesday...yes sir we can 100% promise it will be delivered.

So now I have had to break the news to my daughter that her main present is not here yet, terrific!

Tuesday comes along, I ring again to confirm it's out delivery...and guess what...we are very sorry Mr, but not all the components for your playhouse have been manufacture yet...magic! But I thought the other day there was a loading error for the delivery truck?? What was they loading, half of the playhouse?

At this point i'm pretty disappointed and wish I had never bothered, I would have cancelled the order if i was able to pick up another playhouse somewhere else with a short delivery time, but unfortunately most companies have at least a week build time which is expected I suppose...so I have no choice but to wait this out.

Today I get an email from there delivery team (18th July) that the playhouse is now scheduled for delivery on the 21st July, I really have given up at this point and in all honesty don't have high hopes of it arriving again...I will post back though with the outcome.

My strong advice is if you need anything from this company within any kind of time constraint, don't bother, they are a complete shambles and lie through their teeth with constant false promises.

Lets just hope the quality of the product holds up once it does finally arrive, if not then it will be going straight back.
