So I decided this Christmas I was going to get my 1 year old son his first car. I did a bit of searching online and decided to go for a Lamborghini Aventador, i mean when else will i be able to afford a lambo and i figure if i get him one now, maybe he'll buy me one, one day. I opted for using kids car direct because the reviews and the fact they throw in a free pack of extra bits including personalised number plates. I opted for this car because it looks fantastic, has added noises effects, working headlights and break lights and 3 speeds but most importantly it comes with a remote control. This means the car can be set for him yo drive or for me to drive with the touch of a button. At the minute my son can barely walk do it's a bit early to let him tear up the pavements but he loves being driven around. I have to say kids car direct were great. The car arrived quickly. We managed to break a wing mirror which was no fault of the car which is very sturdy but was due to my wife walking into it when the lights were out. I contacted Kids Cara Direct who happened to have a spare and promptly sent it to me. I was expecting to pay a replacement fee but they very kindly sent it to me at no charge. As for the car it also surpassed all expectations. It is an official Lamborghini product and looks fantastic. It is easy to operate. The top speed is a great rate for him to chug along at. The remote control is responsive and has a great range. I have recommended this product and kids cars direct to family and friends and i regularly get stopped when i'm out with him by people wanting ti know where i got it. If you are thinking of getting one, do it. It's great fun for parents and children and if you do Kids Cars Direct is the site to use

Although I was a little worried reading the reviews before purchasing, I went ahead and ordered the car. It was delivered, very well packed and easy to assemble. It looks fantastic, better than the photograph and was very pleased with it. However, we only had one week therefore I cannot comment on the customer service other Reviewers experiencing. In particular I like the "paperwork", which is a very nice touch!

We purchased a car from Kids Cars Direct and the quality of the car was really bad. Parts falling off, paint work coming off, missing pieces, the list can go on. When contacting kidscarsdirect.com customer services, firstly no one would pick up the phone or respond to emails, alarm bells starting ringing. Finally someone did respond by email and they were rude and not wanting to help and suggested we had damaged the item. Kids Cars Direct didn't respond to any further emails and we have no way of getting in touch with them. Stay away from this company!

I ordered the mercedes G wagon and it arrived the next as described. It looks great and was easy to assemble. Actually looks better in real life which is a bonus and I can't wait to give it to my boy for Christmas, excellent job well done guys.

I cannot believe it but my experience echoes the awful service experienced by the user above. Battery lasted 5 months before I was told that I need to replace the batteries myself- only problem were they were soldered on to the wires. So I was advised to buy a soldering iron to unsolder the wires and then I should be able to replace the battery. They take no accountability for their products- which seem to be substandard! Very unhelpful and not interested in any issues once you've paid for it. I would stay well away from them and not buy anything from there!

Bentley Continental was purchased from this company for my daughter. After two months of use and after charging and storing as per instructions manual the battery stopped working. I wrote to the company who advised me that it was not covered under warranty and I should purchase a new one from Maplins! I did so, however when I went to replace the battery the wires were soldered onto the old battery!! Upon asking the company what I was supposed to do they simply advised me to purchase a soldering machine from Maplins and de-solder the wires from the old battery and re-solder to the new one - a 'simple process' as informed by the director of the company. Be very careful before purchasing from this company, you will be provided with a sub-standard battery, have to pay £4.10 to send the charger back for testing, followed by £40 for a new battery from Maplins and another £14.99 for a soldering machine from Maplins! Makes an expensive toy even more expensive!!!! Don't expect them to take any responsibility!!!!!!!
