Useless Customer Service

the catterpillers arrived royal mail in a tiny box. inside the cardboard box the caterpillers are in a cup. the food is inside the cup and the little fellas stay in here until ready to change. we sadly lost 2 catterpilers (i left them in there a few days to make sure they had deffinatly died and not changing or anything. then a butterfly had trouble emerging, i contacted insect lore by their facebook page and asked if it should take over 24 hours to emerge, what do we do etc as we wanted to try and save him. they ignored our questions but answered everyone elses questions about shipping etc (where moneys being made). i googled looking for answers and found none, sadly he too died. so we have just two left hanging upside down waiting to change and i have a very sad 6 year old wondering why they keep dying. we followed the instructions, and watched them daily. Its really not worth the heartache.

Insect Lore's Live Butterfly Garden With Live Caterpillars

I recently purchased the Insect Lore Live Butterfly Garden Shipped with Live Caterpillars from InsectLore.com for my two daughters after hearing about how much fun they had raising live caterpillars into butterflies with a friend of ours. Ordering was fast & easy, and they had our kit to us in a jiffy.

The caterpillars arrived in a cute little box, that when opened, revealed a ventilated cup with 5 tiny caterpillars and what is apparently caterpillar food. The kit also came with a pop-up butterfly habitat and simple butterfly-raising instructions.

It was so much fun watching my daughters' faces light up each day when we would check on the little cup, as the caterpillars grow very quickly! Eventually, they made their way to the top of the cup and transformed into a neat little cocoon. After a week or so of sitting in their cocoon state, the little cocoons opened and revealed pretty little painted lady butterflies that flew around the habitat and dazzled tiny eyes! We put some fruit and foliage in the habitat, and they seemed to have as much fun as we did watching! Eventually, we opened the habitat and released them into the wild... this was a fantastic experience for my kids and we can't wait to do it again!
