hit you with hidden charges over a few months, don't ask you just add them and hope you don't notice. Even add a charity donation. Wouldn't recommend UK Fuels to anyone.

This Company is Disgusting. Stay Away They add extra charges to your account if you do not opt out from sleazy e-mails they send advising of extra services, if you do not reply they add them to your account. ONE DAY YOUR COMPANY WILL CEASE TO TRADE

Do not use this company. They will mis-sell you cards that they know are not for your fleet/usage, and then hide behind T&Cs when trying to resolve issues in a civil manner. Disaster of a company.

Awful company to deal with! Signed up initially waited 4 weeks to hear nothing and then boom 3 cards arrived. No information about pricing, terms & conditions or anything else. Slowly underfunding fees, zero liability insurance started to appear. Emailed the account manager to receive an email days later. Undelivered. Spoke to a useless woman on the phone she has left the company but no one has been in touch. Deciding to close my account. Time to revert back to my debit card and pay a fairer price at Tesco Pumps! If you value your time and money - Stay away, far away from this joke of a company! Business branded as ‘The’ fuel card company! Won’t be long until they’re out of business!

I got the fuel cards and used them for 6 months spending 600£ a months but noticed being overcharged from week one I complained every week was assured it will be refunded and settled. After no refund for 6 months I stopped using the cards I was assured I can hold the cards or cancel there is no charge and 3 months later of no usage they sent me a bill of £80. Their promises don’t mean anything and what they say is recorded but can’t be accessed unless you know the right day and time you called. Stay away and save a lot money . If anyone has claimed their money back or complained and had a positive response from a third party plz let me know as I want to claim back all the money they owe me thank you.

We had 11 cards with this company but the charges kept increasing. I looked about sourced an alternative and attempted to cancel my account in November. Email was ignored. Contacted them by phone in December, resent email and was told that had I read the 8.5 pages of small print I would be aware that it takes 3 months to cancel! I also paid a small zero liability charge which covers the card use if lost or stolen, as the cards had been destroyed I requested that this be taken off the account. However, 4 month on and I am still failing! Can I prove what was said on the phone as the person we were dealing with has left? Will they refund? No. Last night I received a further invoice for the issue of new cards and a £10 for failing to use the old ones. How did they help? They only offered to let their accounts team know that the Direct Debit has been cancel to prevent them attempting to get the money we don't owe. How generous. Stay away from this company.

What can I help with?

We have used Keyfuels for years. Our account is managed by the Fuelcard company. Both Keyfuels and the Fuelcard company are owned by Fleetcor. When we first used them we checked the weekly price they sent for a few months and it was competitive with supermarket pricing. Keyfuels is sold on the basis that the price you pay will be around 5p cheaper than the average pump price. We have discovered that for at least the past year we have been paying well above motorway service station prices, which is the most expensive. Current price from the FuelCard company £1.41 +vat = £1.69 per litre UK Average price £1.30 a litre. Morrisons £1.27 a litre. So as we often fill up at Morrisons using the Keyfuels card we are paying 50p a litre more than we need to. When we complained the response was that we sent you a weekly price so its your fault if you did not check. We accept that but could not get a straight answer on why the price was so high as when We contacted another fuelcard supplier, who funnily enough also use Keyfuels, their price for this week was £0.99+vat. So how can they charge 40% more for the same service.

We were approached to move over with a better rate which stayed that way until i stopped looking at the weekly price. yes, clearly our fault because if we're not looking they can increase the price, up, up, up to 50p per litre above pump price. emailed and no response. In future, I will pay my fuel off Mr Turpin instead!

Tried to cancel on two occasions and they continued to bill for one year after cancellation for unused cards and card guard. They have taken the money via direct debit. We wish to warn other companies about this scandal. Hard and pushy selling with people calling on a daily (almost hourly basis) to secure business. There must be some regulatory body and if not then this in itself is scandalous.

without notice account was put on 'risk' and I was being charged 30p + vat more than pump prices, used small claims court and got refund of overcharged fuel. One of the worst companies I have ever dealt with but then found out they are part of Allstar who I had a card with previously and they did exactly the same. My court paperstold the full story and in a way I wish it had gone to court to have my say, ..... just get a normal credit card and use it for your fuel... I know it means trusting your employees with a card that can be used anywhere but if they miss use that you can discipline them, better than being taken in by a fuel card company ....

Who reads the terms and conditions to the bone. I certainly didn't and took what was said to me on the phone to being gospel on applying. Very naive of me and I certainly won't be making the same mistake again. Even trying to cancel the cards is a scandalous affair. 3 months to close it down (it's in the terms and conditions she said) Charges for non-usage, charges for low usage, as soon as I told them my will to cancel, a day later a bill for the cards arrives. On top of all that their not that competitive either. Moved over to a different supplier for the key fuels network. In a nutshell, this company should be shut down. Not nice to deal with, not helpful on the phone, never return a phone call. And the attitude of the so-called managers is 'it's in the terms and conditions' really bad attitudes from the majority you speak with. Managed to get it closed down at the end and kicked up a right stink doing it. I fear the quieter people would take the pain and pay them for 3 months. I certainly didn't. I gave them 1 star but that is only because I had to give them something, they dont deserve any at all.

I have been sent cards and not used them on an automatic renewal, tried to cancel my account as the pricing is not competitive but been charged £189 for closure fees even though I have no contract with them! Or ask for renewal! if I don't pay they will charge me another £95 for cancellation. They have told me their terms and conditions are on the website even though I have not been told this or been given any copy of this. DO NOT USE THEM

I don't understand why this company has been given so many negative reviews / feedback. Highly recommended, always been given the best price and customer service.

This company seriously needs to be investigated and shut down. I wish I had read the reviews on this website before allowing a member of staff to open an account with them 12 months ago. Unfortunately that member of staff left the business 3 months later and the bills have slipped through the net, being paid without scrutiny. I have discovered that 7 cards were signed up for although only 1 is in use. this has lead to a £9.49 weekly charge for underuse and every card has had a £1.50 Eco charge (to plant a tree somewhere) and a £1.50 zero liability charge (to protect against theft) added on each month. These charges have amounted to roughly £55 of charges a month for the last 4 months!!! the Eco tree charge and zero liability charges were slipped on to the account in May with no agreement or consent and were being charged to dormant cards. i have spoken to the company and had a frustrating and pointless chat with a vacuous droid and sent 3 emails to different departments which have been completely ignored. The law needs to be involved. This company are are abusing their authority and the trust given to them.

Have just lost the will to live with this company who took over our fuel account from BWOC Started taking £4.50 x 3 for Ecopoint charges on occasion - queried several times but completely ignored Just got a bill for "underused account" £9.49 plus VAT Usage never an issue with BWOC - apparently new terms in place from January - not seen any change in terms from these guys - apparently "every time we use that plastic card we accept their new terms" Thanks to the person I dealt with in "customer services" Just about sums up this company's attitude - cards cut up, account closed Avoid - FuelGenie are a dream to deal with by comparison

Terrible company. If I was a member of staff I would quit out of embarrassment for working for them. Management wouldn't speak to me and I didn't believe a word customer service said. Their urgent payment is 2 weeks. What a joke. Just to keep the peace at that particular moment with no intention of actually paying.

When they take over from Silvey Thomas, they have started charging extremely high NON USAGE FEE without any notification. I explained number of times our cards gets used less in winter but more in summer. This was accepted by Silvey Thomas and agreed not to charge non usage fee. I explained this to The Fuelcard Company and they agreed. But I still got charged for NON USAGE Fee by The Fuelcard Company. Bad customer services for not taking any notice of what the customer saying.

Made a call into these guys today spoke to a man who was very ignorant and very unhelpful to the point he hung up so called back and spoke to a lady and was amazed she was even worse so I've terminated my card with them and would advise no one to use this company
written by Carac253 on 25/03/2017
Where to start... Weekly billing, so if you don't use your card that week they'll charge you either a non use fee or a low use fee. Then this 'ecopoint' charge which is for carbon offsetting, persistently asking them to remove it. Asked them for a credit limit raise which took them two weeks to say no.. I changed my bank account an they tried to claim the DD from the old bank and then charged me a £95 fee for unclaimed DD, and yes that was £95 not £9.50.... Customer service is dire and the price of the fuel isn't cheap either. If you want an additional card to use at non Morrisons or keyfeul sites then there's a 1p per litre surcharge. RIP OFF MERCHANTS

I have the same problems never mentioned surcharge in the sites and the. Promised I’ll be refunded the surcharge 6 months I stopped using the card after false promises and then 3 months of non usage I get a bill again. Taking to trading standards.
