“Rip off merchants indeed”

Setup a contract with paymentsense only to find out the contract has been setup incorrectly and the person who i dealt with has left the company , no surprises there. I am still waiting for a manager to come back and resolve this matter… Read Full Review

I don't think the person who dealt with you has left, he/she is not dealing with you anymore as I had exactly the same problem with them. When I asked to speak to the person who I dealt with they said he has left the company. Very bad customer service.

“RIP OFF MERCHANTS”

Sales girl never mentioned horrendous charges.(non qualifying rates )I have been charged £76 for one transaction as they say customer used a premium card, which you dont know when taking payent, if they did or possibly payment sence are ripping us retailers off. While these guys may or may not offer good rates. What they promise you on the phone, in regards to what you have to pay, is nothing less than lies. I was told very clearly on many occasions, during telephone conversation, what my maximum payment would be, for a card and pin machine, if I did not use the machine. I work as a sales rep for Payment sense and am appalled to hear of your experience with the sales person you spoke with

I joined Payment sense because of their reputation for providing a rare combination of a great desk aligned with a first class 24/7 service 365 days a year

Please note its not the company at fault here but one sales person and he or she does not and should not define the company as a whole

You did mention if they were more transparent about the terms if the contract you would have still probably gone ahead which is heartening to here

Thank you for noting the post. I did in fact tell the sales man what I wrote on the review. Also that for some very strange reason (which is hard to understand as a business man) Payment sense is not alone in this way of trying to sell. I have wasted so much of my time ralking to a few similar companies. And it has left me not trusting any of them. I will probably end up waiting and going via my bank. As I can go down there and personally grab the person who sells me any product. But refreshing to find someone wanting to put things right.

Excellent service second to none, the service i received from the sales rep was second to none. From the initial inquiry to the final installation the service & after care is spot on. The information regarding PCI compliance was also very valuable as you make your customers aware of all the charges involved from the outset. Absolute rubbish they charge you for not responding to letters not received regarding PCI. They then insist you complete the process on line giving you a password that wont work.Then having tried a various other options and failed are then told that "a lot of people cant get it to work "- but we can do it now whilst on the phone. Now compliant just had statement through, charges still not refunded and want another £200 to cancel a 30 day rolling contract. They may give good rates but they will get you some other way topped off by totally dreadful service. P S never been so annoyed and angry to write a comment before , so my advice is to be careful and try and find a company through someone already using a company , which is providing a service wehic h they are happy with. DL

its not rubbish . PCI was explained fully to me in detail that i had to be compliant within 3 months going live in which i was also sent a follow email from the representative within 6 weeks about receiving my letter and passcode, My sales representative was very professional and explained everything in detail. Doing the compliance was second to none very easy , piece of mind.,
i have been with Paymentsense for over a year now and glad to see a company that add value back onto my bottom line and are better the any other merchant provider.

"Doing the compliance" may well have been easy and their telephone staff were helpful but it is only temporary. We spent weeks making the changes to comply with their demands, then 3 months later received an email telling us we had to do a quarterly scan, which we apparently failed. We hadn't changed anything since the initial PASS, so why would we now fail? I phoned them to ask the question and to find out what we should do about it and they said they would get one of their technical people to ring me back. That was 8 months ago and I havent heard from them yet!

“Excellent Rates & Service”

I needed a mobile terminal. I found Paymentsense transaction rates were almost half what the banks were charging. With regards to the comments from the previous review, the PCI is FREE for the first year with Paymentsense and then only £3.99 a month there after. “Beware the small print”

After an email to Payment Sense we were constantly telephoned to sign up away from Barclays Merchant Services. The rates sounded a little better than Barclays and are fixed? After more intense phone calls we were persuaded to go with them. Terminal and everything works fine. Problem is PaymentSense do NOT own the terminals you get, these are owned and run by First Data. Signing with Payment Sense and then First Data, has been the worst business decision of my life. Everything was going very well, then i was persuaded to switch to Payment Sense for credit card payment handling.

People used to be able to make credit card payments to me. They used to be able to.... then Payment Sense took on the service, and it's been nothing but problems.

Well, the last 2 months has been a nightmare, the credit card terminal doesn't work, no one ever answers the phone, my emails go without a reply. Communicating with them is a very frustrating affair.

When i did finally get through, the woman i spoke to was really rude, obstructive and utterly unhelpful. I have cancelled the service, only to be told that I can't do that. Well, not without paying anyway.

I feel like I am being milked for more and more money.

I had a sales person called Mervin Savon rip me off. He fooled me into a 60 month contract. I am gong to contact the financial ombudsmen, watchdog and the directors personally. I will not take this matter lying down. This is against the law.

Do not listen to their customer service department they are all liars.

Yes, please check small print. 2 years after taking the terminal, my circumstances have changed and am being told that i am in a 60 month contract and that it will cost me over £400 to cancel. Did not realise any of this when i signed up. The reason i want to cancel is because i cant afford to run it any more so i definately cant afford the £430 odd to get myself out. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY

“Very very very bad”

Very bad receive the new terminal work two days and then broked as usual on weekend and not very good if you have a restaurant after 4 days receive the new terminal and not working as well so really fed up want to cancel contract but since I have just join the company they asking me the rental of the machine for the duration of the contract since they haven't a cooling period of two weeks and on top of that they want £ 190:00 and £ 200:00 for cancel the bank account with them.
