One usually knows that the world doesn't revolve around oneself, but Andertons certainly makes you feel like it.
Had an issue with a Golden Plexi pedal by Tone City I had purchased just half a year ago and which had not been in heavy use - just wouldn't turn on anymore. So I described the problem to Andertons' customer service via web enquiry. Got an answer mail in next to no time, which - based on how big of a deal Andertons has evolved to - is not necessarily given with some stores.
Got the permission to open the thing up and see if there's anything I could detect and maybe fix and at the same time offered a free replacement unit. Found a blown smd-cap and sent a photo of it back to customer service, who in turn forwards the info to their supplier, as it may be helpful to them. Even earned a couple of loyalty points for taking a look inside and providing the info on what caused the issue.
The replacement unit was then even added to another order I had just completed, so everything is delivered at the same time.
All back and forth (correspondance with customer service that is; from reporting the issue to having a replacement unit on dispatch) took place in only a day's time.
It's actually a shame that usually everything goes perfectly fine when ordering online from Andertons - you never get in contact with the friendly people working there (;
