Believed Bust

Linked in somehow with nigel a ohara jewelers. It appears they have gone bust and they've got my v expensive Zeppelin Watch. So DO NOT DEAL with this or I suggest any other jewelers in this neck of the woods.

3 Months And Still No Goods.

Ordered watch from this company in early June. Sent email to them in July asking where the goods were. Told they were still working on it to find a supplier. Now early October and still no goods. Have now sent a claim through Pay Pal for refund. I have to ask myself , is this trader genuine? Will contact trading standards if not resolved soon. DO NOT TRUST THIS COMPANY.

Nigel O'Hara Jewellers which is closing down. INPT46-215a.

12:23Thursday 19 November 2015

A company operating the online Nigel O’Hara jewellery business is facing 10 charges related to unfair trading.

The case against JRN Jewellers and its director Richard O’Hara (35) will be heard at Craigavon Magistrates’ Court on December 1.

Mr O’Hara and the company are charged with five counts of engaging in misleading commercial practice, three counts of engaging in unfair commercial practice, and two of knowingly/recklessly engaging in commercial practice.

JRN Jewellers, with an office registered to 1 William Street, confirmed that the company has had to close with the loss of more than 35 jobs.

Mr O’Hara, of Linvara, Tandragee, said, “This is a very difficult time for staff, family members and customers of the business. I am unable to comment further at this stage.”

The case is being brought by the Department of Enterprise, Trade and Investment’s Trading Standards Service, under the Consumer Protection from Unfair Trading Regulations 2008.

The charges relate to dates between December 1, 2013 and November 7, 2014.

Among the allegations are incorrect prices for goods, including watches, advertised on the Nigel O’Hara website; and claims of a ‘hurry, sale ends tonight’ claim which, it is alleged, were false ‘because the sale did not end on that night’.

It is further alleged that JRN Jewellers advertised that a television had been discounted from the previous selling price whereas the TV ‘had never been offered for sale at the higher price’, and that the Nigel O’Hara website offered to supply a watch without disclosing that it would not be able to supply it.

Charges also include taking payment ‘without ascertaining if you were in a position to supply the product ordered at the price indicated withing a reasonable time’, failure to refund money within the time periods stipulated, and offering a 100 per cent cash back prize, without awarding the prizes described or a reasonable equivalent.

Last week, the Nigel O’Hara Jewellers shop in Portadown announced it was closing after 42 years in business.

Never Again With Their Online Service

Placed an online order on 3rd July and paid via Paypal. After waiting I found the only way of comms was to raise a ticket via their online form/'live support system'. No phone numbers. The response time was frustratingly long (over 2 days in one case). After waiting nearly their worst case expected delivery time, I was eventually told that they have used my payment to acquire the item from another supplier, but they were confident their exceptional prices are well worth the wait. (Presumably a cashflow issue). On the following day, I was told that my order had been subject to a pricing error (similar to another reviewer) and gave me the option of paying an extra £45 or refund. They confirmed my refund request on the next day saying the 'finance department' would confirm when it has been processed. This would be followed by another email to confirm my 'bank server' has accepted the transaction. Having heard nothing for over a week, I raised another ticket and was quoted refunds can take up to 14 days as their T&C's. After nearly a month of nothing, I emailed their 'finance dept' - no response so raised issue with Paypal. Got refund a week later (thanks Paypal). Overall took seven weeks.

Bulova Watch Purchase

I purchases a watch a couple of weeks ago from JRN .Wrote to them asking where was my purchase.....no reply. I then received the watch as described but there was no warranty card which i understand is the norm for Bulova. There was no instruction book as well in the box. So i wrote to JRN again this was 6 days ago and still no reply about the watches authenticity. I then decided to watch a few Youtube clips about unboxing their new Bulova watch which was the same model as mine. And guess what??? They all came with instruction books.

The watch was a very good deal if it a genuine Bulova and a poor deal if it is a copy. Is the watch the real deal i have no idea really. I have tried putting in the serial number to Bulova's WEB site with not much luck. This watch could very well be the real deal but JRN not answering any of my e-mails i doubt i will ever know unless i go to a jeweler to get it checked over. When i purchased the watch it also had a free link removal service which was also not done.

So would i recommend JRN ???? After reading this what would you do??I think its obvious..

Do Not Use This Company, You Will Not Receive Your Goods!

I ordered a kettle, which accordingto their website was available and they showed it would be posted out and received within 3 days. Once I paid for it I waited a week before I contacted them. They had a big story that the item had to be specifically ordered for me, I should be patient. I asked them for a refund, which they ignored. Another week went by, I contacted them again, they said they were hoping they could tell me more in another weeks time! I asked for a refund and again they told me to be patient. I have now opened a dispute with paypal to get my money back. This company is dodgy!

Jrn Jewellers Ltd Trustworthy Or Not

I ordered a product as advertised on their web site. Several days later the item was not shown as dispatched. I contacted JRN Jewellers LTD and was told it would be dispatched within the week.

5 days later they sent me an Email stating that they would not sell it at the advertised price, but offered me a £5.00 off product code. I decided on a full refund and the product code number. I never received the £5.00 off code and had to raise a PayPal dispute to get my money back....Thanks PayPal.
