Bought a ring between Xmas and New Year from the website jewellerycatalogue. Received no confirmation text or email, despite going through the full payment process. It wasn't a cheap purchase. The website had no info on being closed over this time. The phone number on the website is invalid. Worried they would take payment and not provide the goods I looked to the store which is referenced on the website. This doesn't exist and when I called the number for the address the website gives it was a chiropodist who told me they hadn't been there for over 10 years. So no contact, no store and registered to a completely different address on companies house. My boyfriend who placed the order still has never heard from them. I put a complaint in and a week later got an apology that they had closed for xmas, didn't have the item in stock and wouldn't take payment. They completely wasted our time and it meant that my birthday (for which this was a gift) was quite a stressful time.
