Bought 4 Deluxe Aldo Brushed Steel Bar Stools. Great delivery time. But that's all that was great!!! Of the 4: 1. Base scuffed & foot rest badly rusted 2. Base scuffed 3. Incorrect item - wrong colour and not the deluxe version. The components just appeared to be used/seconds. Customer services have been great and have sent out replacement items very promptly; although having had 4 different deliveries means someone having to be at home to receive the package. The stools are just of very poor finish. They seem to be sturdy but it's just the quality of the finishing.

I can't comment on the product as we haven't received it yet. Website says in stock. Order was placed on a Monday by phone. I was in no rush, but nevertheless was told delivery would be the next day - Tuesday. We waited in all day. I chased at end of day to be advised out of stock but delivery would be Thursday. So sales team don't check stock levels when taking order? Claimed they advised delay AM.... but they didn't. My only positive comments are that the young lady at the end of the phone was very polite and did apologise... still not very helpful though.

Although the stools arrived very quick, and we were updated as to where they were in the chain,they are uncomfortable,the backs of the stools push you to far forward,would love to change them.? Regards

I was thrilled when I found the stools. Ordering and paying was easy - that was about 4 weeks ago. Twice I've been told the stools are on there way and I still haven't received them. I was not kept up to date with what was happening and I have had to phone twice.

I ordered my stool 2 weeks ago with a promise that I would receive it the next day as that was Saturday I thought it may arrive on Monday, but no by Friday it still hadn't arrived so I phoned to find out what had happened. I was told it was out of stock and it would be another week and half to tow weeks I still have no stool.

I placed my order for two carcaso bar stools to arrive just before Christmas. When they arrived we immediately thought we had been dispatched seconds, one stool had a split on the seat and the other had scuff marks across the top of the chrome trim and indentations in the post that the seat is attached too. The company had finished work for Christmas so I emailed them, with photos asking for a call back when they reopened. No phone call was forthcoming and I contacted them to arrange replacements to be sent. On my replacement delivery day I waited in all day and nothing was delivered, by the end of the delivery time window the office was closed & I emailed them again asking for them to investigate why the delivery had failed and to contact me when the office reopened. I waited until lunch time, no call was forthcoming again and when I spoke to the company there was no apology, no explanation other than 'your order was sent to the warehouse for dispatch' & they could not understand why this had not happened. I arranged another delivery date when I would be at home to except delivery however, I arrived home from work the following day to find the stools had randomly been delivered and the box left outside in the rain. Fortunately the stools were not damaged and I have now replaced these with the originals.

On the website it promised prompt delivery upto and including Christmas Eve - this did not happen. I was also told that I would receive an e-mail advising me when the stools had been dispatched - this did not happen. On top of this Royal Mail made a mess of delivering the stools resulting in a 25 mile wasted round trip to the depot.

Money taken on order (14/10) and with next day delivery. Web site said stool was out of stock until 21/10. Telephone calls did give other dates but stools remained out of stock. Delivery did not occur until l7/11. Money should not be taken until the item is in stock and possibly only when despatched. One stool assembled easily as plastic cap had fallen out. Second stool would not function properly until I checked the plastic cap was still in place. It should be in instructions to check these things. No problem with stool only delivery and assembly.

Ordered 2 stools back in August which were out of stock. Website allows you to order them, so assumed that new stock would be available soon. Money taken from credit card immediately. Got confirmation of order but no details on when to expect stools. Had to repeatedly call for information. Was told stools due in end October/Early November. Seemed like a long wait when the payment had been taken in August! But thought I would stick with it. Never got any responses to chase ups sent via the web site so had to call each time. Called early November, told stock due in very soon and stools would be dispatched Thursday for delivery Friday - definitely confirmed as Friday, on the phone. Needless to say Friday came and went with no delivery. Called late on Friday - no one seemed to know who had told me that! Said they would be delivered Tuesday, definitely Tuesday! Stools arrived Monday afternoon!!!! Lucky that I work from home. Stools are fine, actually quite happy with them although they don't smell like leather at all. Customer service staff always polite - just didn't seem to know what was going on.

Ordered a pair of bar stools on the 16.08.13 & paid in full via PayPal. Heard nothing by the following week so rang back on the 23.08.13 where I was advised that the payment had been received but the order was yet to be Dispatched. Was told the matter would be resolved & my order would come on the 27.08.13 - a day after the Bank Holiday. On the 27.08.13 nothing was delivered so I rang again shortly before 5pm & was told 'sorry there has been a further issue but you will definitely get them tomorrow' ie the 28.09.13. Again I rang back the next day when no delivery took place & was told of a similar issue but the stools would be delivered the next day. Finally they arrived on the 29.08.13. These were the last 2 days of the childrens' summer holiday & I wasted both of them waiting in for a delivery you twice promised me that failed to take place. Had intended to order a further 2 stools but if this is the service you provide I will be in no rush to use you again.

I purchased two kitchen stools on the 29th June by Credit Card. Money was promptly taken from my account and I had an email from Simplybarstools confirming the sale and the email said that a another email will be sent with a link to track my order. Now, 10 days later I still have not heard from the company. No sign of kitchen stools!!! However, I received an email today asking for a feedback on my purchasing experience. NOT GOOD!!! Will call Simplybarstols and enquire about my order.
