We furnished most of our new house with Oak Furnitureland products. Having received upwards of 60 boxes of furniture ranging from bed and wardrobes to tables, chests and sofas, I feel well qualified to comment. Overall, I consider that the quality of the furniture is excellent - well made, well finished and reliable in use. However, there are a few downsides to their business model, which customers are often not told by the salesmen in the showroom. The first and most serious failing is that the furniture is delivered boxed to the room of your choice and left there. The furniture is not unpacked and you are responsible for disposing of the packaging. This may not seem like a big deal, but once you have unpacked and assembled (wardrobes, beds, sofas and dining room tables require partial assembly) one piece of heavy furniture, you will realise that this is a serious task. Normally, it will require 2 able-bodied adults to unpack and assemble a piece of furniture, and then you have to dispose of a mountain of cardboard, polystyrene, clingfilm and plastic padding material. It is rumoured that the specification for the packing material is that the box must be capable of being dropped by parachute from 10,000ft into inhospitable terrain. Sometimes the packing material makes a bigger pile than the furniture it contains. Suffice to say, that I filled a 12-yard skip with packing material and that was after reducing all all the cardboard and polystyrene to the smallest size possible. The second failing is the lack of quality control in the UK. I believe that I am correct in saying that all of the furniture is made abroad and all quality checks are made in the country of manufacture. You might think that the colossal amount of packaging would prevent any damage occurring - not so unfortunately. We had to replace our dining room table 3 times, 2 chest of drawers twice, and a bed box once. Having said that, Customer Services (often takes 15 - 20 minutes to get through) are very good and will usually replace items within one week, once you have emailed 3 photographs of the furniture, the label and the damage. Beware though, sometimes Customer Services will try to save money by getting a repair man to fix it instead or offer you a discount if you accept the damage. If you do have any item replaced, be prepared to dispose of yet another mountain of packaging! So, overall, provided you are physically able to unpack and assemble the furniture and have a means of disposing of a large amount of packing material, Oak Furnitureland furniture is good value for money.

We ordered in store 3 pieces of furniture at a cost of £1500 , we even paid extra for a bespoke service, being told in store don't worry the deliverymen will get it in anywhere and any room for you for a cost of £49.99 ... from ordering we have waited 4 weeks for delivery , today was meant to be the delivery day . the drivers arrived and looked in our home and said it wont fit , they had a template with them of the biggest bit or furniture and showed us and tried to see if there was a way they could fit it in , it didn't and wouldn't, so they rang oak furniture land and let them know it was a failed delivery and we had pay fees based on whats happened , we explained to oak furniture land that we wasn't told anything about possible cancellation fees etc and there were 100 % awful to us and said basically tough and we would be charged . we are disgusted with oak furniture warehouse and there store and call center staff and will never offer from or recommend them to anybody ever, we will be shouting from the roof top how poor oak furniture land are . No doubt we will see them on watchdog or similar if we don't contact them first to tell them of our awful ordeal , we have no bedroom furniture and our house is turned upside down and we have been maliciously charged fees we didn't agree too or was told about . . update : i have just had the misfortune to speak to a person called will at oak furniture warehouse who told me we would be charged £160.54 as a result of sending the items back because they wouldn't fit in our rooms . As in store we had signed a piece of paper and id had ample time to have read the terms and conditions that were given to us at the time of ordering and in a later email , i explained how we had signed whatever we was signing as we thought it had something to do with the card payment we had made for the furniture and for no other reason, and that nothing was explained in store and that the sales woman in the Sutton in Ash field branch , didn't explain anything to us, and didn't make us aware that was we was signing was in anyway binding or important and that we should read anything . we are truly appalled by how the sales staff and customer service staff and oak furniture land as a company has treated us . please don't sign anything in a store and fall into a trap like we have, unless everything and i mean everything has been explained to you and to why they are asking you to sign and what your signing for , as they use it against you and have punished us and many others with outrageous cancellation / send back to depot charges . when you call them to speak to them they don't want to listen, have no compassion and do not care . all we was told in store when we brought £1500 worth of furniture was as your paying 49.99 delivery the delivery guys will get the furniture into any room you want as the furniture is sectional . then when the furniture isn't even unpacked or took off the van, as the drivers say it wont fit in your home oak furniture land take £160 from you and simply say you , signed the terms and conditions, so its your fault ? disgusting

I received a delivery of bedroom furniture today. I would like to thank the two delivery men who worked very hard putting the furniture into my bedroom. They where very polite and helpful. I am very grateful to them for all their help. I commend oak furniture land for employing such caring employees.

I am thrilled with my Armchair Sofa Bed. Its so well made and the finish is A1. I am so glad I took my time and chose the right company to order this from. There are lots on the market but this one has surpassed my expectations, so Thank you Oak Furniture land so very much. I am so very happy with this Armchair Sofa Bed. The delivery was excellent and the lads names are in my title as I wanted to let you know they were excellent and had to take off the packaging to get it upstairs.(You can type in another title now you know their names.) They're delivery was brilliant. So a huge thankyou all round. I LOVE my new Armchair sofa Bed. Can't thank you enough.

I have just received my new leather electric recliner sofa and chair with free storage foot stool, I went in with a £500 budget for a new armchair and bought all of this for £750 out of clearance,BARGAIN !!! I’m so thrilled thank you ❤️❤️❤️❤️

Hi in a world of product disappointment it’s easy to understand reviews are twofold good and bad ....not wishing to be a victim of either I choose my products with anticipated warryness ....being a fully qualified old school time served carpenter I am most particularl in the material available now I suppose I could select and make to my requirements exactly as I want .....that said I did a comparison to my amazement to make the pieces I wanted in the exact material I needed was astronomically expensive my visit to oak furniture land derby was by accident my furniture plans shelved ....as we entered the showroom which was heaving with folk I thought this place looks popular as we walked around the oak furniture looked really good there was a uniformly of oak grain which looked very professionally selected I was impressed further more there was no sales person in site so you could examine all the components draws doors shelving ext and the choice was varied I liked what I saw especially the prices obviously being able to produce items on such a scale lowered the cost but the quality was there we selected certain items and made a purchase during this at no time was we pressurised with extra items we felt at ease a delivery date set we awaited delivery .... on the said day sure enough it arrived the delivery guys were first class carefull and polite although we had to unwrap the items this added to our exitment and what an experience I can honestly say we were speechless we both had a big smile on our faces priceless...... now I know you might think it’s only furniture but I can only say it’has transformed our living room beyond expectations I use the word awesome ..I am one very happy 110% chuffed thanks where thanks is all I can say

Damaged door glass on wall unit split on sidboard, reported it homeserve did call stated it needs new door.. Contacted oak furitureland telling them my mobile no longer works, now a parcell hase been delivered (nobody bothered to onform me if i was out would he have dumped iy in the garden). Sent complaint e/mail.. Answered by a person telling me homeserve woud ring me within 48 hour's …. How i have no phone.. Do not deal with this bunch.

spent £3000 hard furniture ok the soft furniture is a load of rubbish within 2 week 1 Cushing on a 3 seater went soft by 45% 2 technicians said this is normal load of rubbish .Customer service is rubbish and said that they will not do anything about it.I have taken out a 5year serves with them so i give them a bit of time before I call them out please don't bother with this firm they fob you off and promise the earth

We are having problems with our sofas as well, and getting nowhere, the technician said we have to plump up arms and backs, the seats are ridiculous and not comfortable, they advert still running on their site said they do not need it, but seams coming apart as well.
This is on their Grayson 3 seater electric reclining sofa, the 2 seater is starting to flatten as well and is very rarely sat on but the insurance technician
said if it rises back up this is normal settlement??

ORDERED £2000 of bedroom furniture four out of five items arrived badly damaged.One faulty item would have been bad enough but this is just poor quality control.I had to phone many times to sort this outand customer service is beyond belief.We arranged for damaged items to be returned we were given a day and a time slot no one turned up and no one bothered to call to explain why.I phoned again and arranged pick up they turned up this time well doneI have spoken to friends since who have had similar problems they are just not interested once you have paid.I have now got a refund and will never shop here again.Wish someone had warned me befor i wasted my time shopping here.

Had a delivery this morning of a wardrobe and chest of drawers. There customer service was outstanding and oak furnitureland should be proud that they have members of staff as excellent and hardworking as these two. They had too overcome a tricky situation to get my furniture into the room and they did just that, good job !!!!!!

Spent over 3000 on bedroom furniture, but all received with scratches and dents in June 2018. Bed slats cracked, wardrobes do not close properly, marks and dents. Called about the triple wardrobe as badly damaged at first sent a repairman without the correct paint, then sent the wrong door to be replaced, then agreed to replace but sent only the base! Finally I insisted they refund money which they say they have. we spent a lot of money and all the furniture is not of a good standard. Customer service promise to sort out but never call back I have been chasing them since June of last year. Never go there.

Purchased a bed on the understanding it would be delivered within a week. Bed was duly delivered on agreed date with a big chunk broken off the headboard. Went through the 'Oak furniture land' process and waited for a call that didn't come. Called the store in Hull to be met with a don't give a damn attitude. Customer service is a dirty word to this company. Trading standards will be contacted within the week and I will demand a full refund for the faulty goods - maybe the loss of commission will be a wake up call to improve customer service. All that was needed was, "we will get a new headboard delivered to you tomorrow". That one sentence would have been the difference between a scathing review on every platform I can find plus a run in with trading standards and five stars throughout.

Mattresses come rolled up when you open them there is a note saying that they may have an odour, this is an understatement I’ve had one two weeks and it sill gives me headaches, Oakfurnitureland will not accept a return even though we have not been able to use it. Buyer Beware

bought the large tv stand,nest of tables,and small side board,all look great in lounge,bought because the way the door pulls are recessed and how it suited my family needs,all very well made,and hope they last for years,only a small down side,is rewaxeing every 3/4 months,but if you want the product to last and look well,i think I can live with that,ha ha.

Having purchased a new larger TV set we needed a new cabinet /stand on which to place it and the only piece of furniture that was suitable was the unit we purchased from OakFurnitureLand. We are extremely satisfied with our choice and it complements the rest of our existing furniture perfectly. Therefore we are very satisfied customers and would recommend the company to others.

We ordered 20 pieces of furniture altogether - desk & chair; dining tables and chairs; large sideboard; small sideboard; nest of tables plus complimentary mirror. The items were delivered on schedule, and the delivery team was fantastic. They took great care in ensuring items were placed as close as possible to the room they were required for. Everything was incredibly well packaged. Any assembly (dining chairs) was straightforward, and plenty of parts/allen keys provided. Most impressed with the furniture - dimensions on website are spot on. All round a fantastic experience, and I would highly recommend this Company.

Sent in photos of two damaged items After delivery, after two weeks wait still not a single reply from anyone. Tried ringing customer service twice on hold for over 45 minutes yet try the sales line and instantly someone answers!!
