Awful Service And Furniture In Shrewsbury Store
Ordered two large leather sofas and put down nearly a grand deposit. Waited ages for leather sample, to discover the sofas ordered were out of stock and we were being persuaded into accepting different ones. Had to discover this for myself as they said nothing. Very dishonest behaviour just to get a sale. They must think their customers are stupid.
Eventually told they had the correct sofas, but I didn't trust them so got them delivered to the Shrewsbury store. Good job I did, because when I went to see them they were laughably bad. Marked leather, frayed stitching and wrinkles like Nora Battey's stockings. Wouldn't have paid fifty quid for them.
Still waiting for my refund.

Terrible Quality
I am not one to complain however as soon as our Gosfield sofa arrived around 3 weeks ago I could see that I was going to be disappointed. The Cushions are terrible and it looks as if I have had the Sofa for about 20 years and not just over 3 weeks. The Technician that came to review apparently advised that there was no fault however I beg to differ. Customer Service were not prepared to take any further so we are left with a sofa that looks like a sack of potatoes. I would have liked to know about the cushion fillings and am tempted to withheld any future payments until my complaint is dealt with properly. A hell of a lot of money for a very poor quality product. No follow up from Shop or Customer Service I had to call myself to find out that Multiyork were NOT prepared to do anything. My advice go to DFS. Really not looking forward to having family around to look at something that looks awful, my old DFS sofa was in better condition.

We ordered a Chaise longue and found the whole process to be very good indeed except that they had a problem in delaying the delivery to suit us. The sofa itself is fabulous. Comfortable, good looking and just what we wanted. Recommended to all.

Multi York - Appalling After Sales Service
Beware! I purchased 2 sofas in leather fabric. The sofas were delivered without a sample swatch making it difficult to match home furnishings. I contacted Multi York and was informed they do not supply swatches for leather. Whilst I fully appreciate the cost implications of sending leather samples out to potential buyers, I find it totally unacceptable that a small sample is not provided after sales, particularly given the purchase price. They did offer the excuse that leather, being a natural product, is subject to shade variations and so a sample would not necessarily be accurate. Well, forgive me but don't Multi York expect customers to choose a colour from their leather swatches in store?
Given that they refused to supply me with a swatch, I asked for the RAL colour number or equivalent. Multi York refused to give me this information. I asked for their leather suppliers telephone number or that of their dye house and, guess what, they refused to provide that information too.
The sofas are excellent quality, as I would expect for the price charged, but would I recommend Multi York? Absolutely NOT.

Replacement Covers
Bought two great sofas over 10 years ago and decided to get them recovered. We chose our covers paid nearly 1700 the outstanding balance on July 7th as we were told they were ready. As of August 14th the fitters have promised to come and cancelled 3 times and we are still waiting for an update. We have been told by Multi York the third party company did not pickup covers, missed arranged deliveries blah blah blah I called again today and left a message to say enough is enough as we did not hear an update yesterday when we were promised we would hear, probably going to ask for our money back! Must look up advert on TV who is advertising new covers for sofas!!!! poor customer service after promising start of this journey. multi Yorkneed to change their third party company and appoint new fitters who obviously don't want the business.

Multiyork Customer Services informed me, if I required a sofa and chairs within short delivery period and well below catalogue price, I should visit Mellis which was their Outlet Shop
Well, we didnt see much reduction on their furniture and for a settee you would be fortunate to find one below £1800, the majority were, £2,000+
Some possibly were customer returns, one for example had written on the price tag "back cushions flat"
Small furniture such as coffee tables, occasional tables didn`t seem to me to have any connection with Multiyork and could be from any supplier.
A 75mile round trip which was a total waste of time, I think we were in and out within 15 mins.
If you are after a bargain then a phone call to Mellis to make sure they have what you require is advisable.
