Be aware!!!!This company is bad!!! I buy mattress £1150 this people send me a faulty mattress and they wantin £80 to return the mattress and customers service is shocking terrible!!!! I will sue this company and please people if you dont want a stress and if you want goid sleep dont waste your time whit this company!!!!!

“Atrocious customer service ”

I'm very disappointed in the quality of the mattress I bought. More so that I paid £250 for the mattress l. If I had paid £150 I would have not complained. I have seen better quality of mattresses cheaper. it is atrocious. The customer service is not existent. It's like talking to a robot. Instead of responding to your complaint you get a generic cut and paste email which does not even respond to your query. I would not buy from this company ever again based on their customer service. If they had compromised I would be happy to pay more and get a better replacement. Apparently firmness is subjective. I know in a week the mattress will have a dent in it because of the quality but it's got a 5 year gurantee. I know when I complain it's falling apart they will just fob me off. We will see...

“Atrocious customer service”

I would not recommend this company to anyone who values even half-decent customer service. From my experience, they are misleading their customers without offering essential after-sale support and therefore mis-selling expensive products. I ordered a rather pricey mattress from them online (Covid-19 time so visiting a shop wasn't practical). Before completing the purchase I wanted to confirm the mattress was returnable if it wasn't suitable (we all know mattress preferences are quite specific and particular). So I looked on their website, under the "Returns" tab which reads "We want you to be 100% satisfied with everything you buy from Land of Beds. If you would like to return an item to us you may do so within 14 days of receiving it". This was conclusive enough for me to place my order in confidence that I would be able to return it if necessary. After just a few hours of uncomfortable sleep it was clear that the mattress I'd bought wasn't firm enough for my bad back so removed it from my bed, repackaged it and contacted the retailer to arrange an exchange. To my horror, I was told they don't accept returns if it has been opened. Had I known this I would never have bought from them in the first place. I asked why this wasn't made clear on their website, and in fact why their website illuded to the opposite (quoted above). Their reply was both defensive and impersonal, stating that I had agreed to their expanded terms which make mention of the "no return once opened" policy. After some investigation, I discovered that said 'expanded terms' was actually a 13-page legal document hidden within the illusive realm of their website which had clearly been engineered to absolve Land of Beds of their customer service duties and responsibilities. Furthermore, I doubt anyone barring the lawyer who wrote these terms has ever actually read them in full. I tried reasoning with their customer services department both over the phone and via email, but they continued to show zero compassion or understanding and just kept pointing me back to their legal loophole. They even had the audacity to tell me, after refusing to take the first mattress back, that they are willing to help by selling me a second firmer mattress. I'll leave it up to you to figure out what my response was. In a nutshell, there are much more reasonable, well-priced and customer service orientated retailers out there who offer a supremely better service to people who are about to spend a lot of money on mattresses, and most do actually accept mattress returns. With so many better options out there, don't bother wasting your time with Land Of Beds. P.S. I now have a fancy mattress which has only been slept on for 4 hours, free to a good home!

“Speechless ”

Bought a bed December 2019 .... chose Relyon . Bed arrived however after a few weeks the mattress was dipping . Called then was told we need to wait 12 weeks turning it weekly .. did this amd still as I knew it didn’t make a difference. They sent a person to test it amd low and behold the result was .. yes it’s faulty . Received a replacement after an age and after just 3 weeks the same again . I am now going through the same fares ringing To try and get it sorted YET AGAIN . I sent photos of it to land of beds who assured me they would sort it . Another age has passed amd the only answer we ate getting is .... We are waiting for Relyon to get back to us regarding the photos . I asked If they could chase this up as we are desperate for a good nights sleep . However I am still waiting . For any response . The cost of this bed was over a thousand pounds

“Horrendous ”

Don’t trust this company Don’t trust this company! They send you beds 3 months down the line without headboards and then claim You have to pay for them separately, so basically what you see in the picture is not what you get, just a base and a mattress! They also was not apologetic nor sympathetic, basically have said its my fault, also there was not an option for the headboard so it’s clearly false advertising and a scheme to get more money out of you, because the whole reason on picking a bed is the nice headboard you see in the pictures.

You can not exchange and not return I have bough 2 Dunlopillo Millennium mattress for adjustable bed 75x200 and delivered on the 13/03/2020. As a front- Stomach sleeper I have suffered with backache since using the mattress on day one.Find this mattress too soft for front sleeper. Called on the 17/03/2020 and 18/03/2020. Spoken two different customer service ladies for EXCHANGE to Firm one to Dunlopillo Orchid mattress. But they rejected. by saying I removed the plastic cover for that reason we are unable to exchange. My 96 years of elderly also saying too soft. I would have given 5 star Because of exchange policy I am giving you 1 star. READ 11.2 SECTION B Before you buy your mattress.

DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM THIS COMPANY. Wrong description - Bought a firm orthopaedic mattress which is not at all orthopaedic nor firm enough! False advertising! This mattress has given me backache since day one. Tried to get a refund but they rejected after I had to send it back to bloody Liverpool out of my own pockets (145GBP!) by saying I opened the box which is not true at all. They will find any excuses to make you lose your money! Don't buy anything from here. Customer service is the worst. They make almost impossible for the customer to get their money back. Landofbeds should be sued and go bankrupt. I hope AMAZON will kick their asses off and they all end up losing their useless jobs.

“Worst buying experiance”

I have bought a bed and mattress from this company and this took almost 2 months to come through. The order was wrong and had to go back, multiple times due to incorrect delivery and left me sleeping on the floor for more than 3 weeks. The customer service was shockingly bad and nobody was managing my problem without me calling everyday to chase, I was promised call backs that never happened and frequently the orders did not come on the days stated and no delivery details were provided other than the day. In total I have made more than 20 phone calls to try and sort this out, I have had to talk to two manufacturers, 3 delivery companies and Land of Beds to get this sorted. This order has cost me over £270 more in lost work hours trying to be about for deliveries that didn’t happen and worst of all this caused my disabled son to be unable to leave the house in his power chair during the 3 weeks + that the incorrect bed parts have been sat in my hallway (the only safe place to put it) I have not been compensated for my incurred costs.

“Bad customer service ”

I brought a king size millbrook mattress which has sunk in the middle, land of beds sent a techical engineer out, to which he took pictures and said they would be in touch. Land of beds now tell me the bed is fine, will not show me report and say there is nothing they can do about it. I’ve been in touch with Millbrook Beds and they have said that it’s with land of beds to sort! I’m now left with a year old mattress that I can’t sleep on. Terrible customer service they just don’t want to know.

“Appalling customer service ”

Appalling Service I ordered a mattress and paid extra for nominated day delivery. There was an issue with payment, which was my mistake but quickly rectified. On delivery day I contacted the company to find out what time delivery would be made only for them to tell me there had been a mistake with the order and they had not arranged delivery. Their solution.... a free mattress protector. As this was a new property I was moving into I did not have a mattress and so was not able to stay at the property. Despite the extra costs incurred in having to find alternative accomodation as well as having to take time off work for a rescheduled delivery 4 days later the people I dealt with really weren't concerned.

“Poor Service, not interest in faulty goods.”

Very poor after service. Spent £700 on firm mattress that has gone soft after 10 months. Land of Beds sent out FIRA inspector who didn't even check how soft is was just checked base and quick look at mattress and took some photos. FIRA are there to get retailers off the hook, have a look on line and check other reviews if you are not sure. Land of beds now say that's the end of it and mattress is fine but will not provide any technical manufacturers specification that would allow a proper inspection to see if mattress has failed internally . So it looks like a court case to get money back. Just awful customer service, Avoid at all costs.

We have the same issue, took Land of Beds advice for the type of mattress that we required for the way we sleep and the bed base, decided to choose Hypnos as it was a good quality mattress (spent £800), it was delivered and was very uncomfortable to sleep on, bad back every morning for both the wife and I. I telephoned them was told it could take up to four months for the mattress to settle, now ten months later, have tried mattress topper as per their advice, spent £200 on this, have bought now three toppers of various types, still waking with back ache in the mornings. Land of Beds agreed to send someone to check (Homeserve), they have got back to us to say it was checked and is okay. We have found the middle of the mattress is higher than either inside when slept on, but reverts to being flat when not slept on. Land of Beds don’t want to know, we don’t even want a refund just a bed we can sleep on. We now have no option but to buy another mattress, we will not be buying or recommending Hypnos or land of Beds to anyone as this has been a huge loss of money.

. Lands of beds - faulty Hypnos Alto pillowtop mattress . They don't tell you it's actually their sister company that takes your credit card payment .Try go undermine your legal rights by telling you they are right from the start which is arrogant given you speak to about 10 different people . They don't tell you that under Sect 75 sale & consumer act you do on faulty goods act especially under 6 month window . Also the Credit card Act 1974 applies also which your bank has to by law & will also be involved by law . They are NOT with the furniture Ombudsman but that could be why they pass the buck to Hypnos or their sister company Sleepeezee . Now initial rights you have before this under 30 day window they will not honor because they think being online they are excempt from respectfull & honest customer service . Undermining your own regal rights to try to intimidate with other parties when them alone the RETAILER is responsible for a faulty good especially under 6 month window & NOT just 30 day return if it's viewed faulty by manufacturer . They will use other people in you case & after they exhausted other avenues they come back to the beginning . That is the beginning of terrible , inconsistent , shady , arrogant & dishonest information so you go away . Also no calls because they are busy with other complaints & so they can hide behind faceless emails also . Don't be intimidated because there is also the financial Ombudsman & their sister company who are also liable to law of the Sect 75 - Credit card 1974 act . Do not accept a replacement when you have rights to a refund as if theres a fault & further issues again your back where you started & that's terrible customer service .I might add that don't be told good will gestures it's actually the LAW under faulty goods bought that are faulty with credit card payment . Why would you choose another bed when your trust & confidence in them plus you have to go bed hopping around to suit them & then order online ? No I don't think so because it's shocking they undermine your needs regardless . I'm would not recommend to anyone I know to shop again with Land of beds especially forcing to purchase a replacement you haven't layed on or want for that matter . Don't be put off by time scale as you can look & see that standing by your rights they have to respect the Law .

“AVOID THIS COMPANY-*TOO BUSY* TO RETURN CALL OF PENSIONER”

AVOID THIS COMPANY Promised delivery of mattress today (24/01/18).No word from this company by 12.30 so checked online tracking which stated the mattress would arrive between 23 & 28 January. I immediately phoned the company. I was told that the item was out for delivery but she would check and phone me back-which she did. She told me she was waiting for a call from Silent Night who, presumably, were contacting the courier, Yodel. I sensed something amiss especially with the courier being the awful Yodel. I asked to cancel the order and to my astonishment was told that Silent Night would charge me. I remonstrated telling her that my contract was with Land of Beds not Silent Night. I reminded her that upon placing the order I had informed them that I was a vulnerable pensioner. She told me that I could talk to a manager but she was on the phone and would contact me as soon as she finished. Two hours later with no return call, I emailed Land of Beds. A few minutes later I received a call from an obnoxious lady possibly the manager. She told me that they could deliver the mattress to their Runcorn warehouse at some indeterminate date and it could be then be delivered. I remonstrated with this and she offered a refund which I accepted. I asked her why she had not returned my call and she snorted *We are too busy*. I expect a battle to obtain a refund but I will not allow this company to treat customers in such a cavalier manner and will go to the County Court if necessary.

“Never touch Land Of Beds.”

Never touch Land Of Beds. Their prices might be the lowest but so is their customer service if something goes wrong. They are terrible to try and resolve. We had issues with a Hypnos bed and they were unhelpful that although Hypnos agreed to change the bed Land of Beds made it impossible to comply with their terms of returns being accepted back into their warehouse. If you should be unluckily enough to have a problem then with Land of beds you simply are going to have major problem. Go elsewhere who have a reputation of putting their customers first and not their greedy owner’s bank balances. Never ever consider Land of Beds they simply are the worst retailer of the year. Staff turnover here very quickly too.

I bought a £400 mattress from Land of Beds on the understanding that this could be returned if unsuitable. I rang to ask them to uplift it. "Ni**la" kept asking if I had slept on it. She told me there was an 8-12 week "settling in period for beds" I told her I could not it was far to firm I could hardly sit on it. She then went on to inform me that the packaging had been removed so they would not accept it back. Where is the logic .. how could someone give the mattress the 8-12 week settling in period while keeping heavy polythene on the mattress. I have all the packaging here, believe me it had never been slept in and never will. I am in the process of getting advice and would advise people never to buy from this company I am so disgusted at the ethos of this company ... or lack of it.

“AWOL Delivery Driver!”

Ordered a bed for delivery and was informed afterwards that Land of Beds only deliver one Saturday per month (my partner and I work full-time). So, having shifted our timetables around, I was informed on the day (during the expected delivery time) that the Sleepeezee delivery driver had gone AWOL and so I would have to re-arrange. Having been up since 6.30am sorting the bedroom out I was not impressed!

“Don't buy from this company - they ignore your rights!”

Bought 2 Tempur pillows from Land of Beds. Took ages to arrive. One was a full sized pillow, the other was a small travel pillow. Very pleased with the full sized one, but the travel one I was not pleased with. I tried the travel one to make sure it was ok, before taking it away. Couldn't sleep, as soon as I put my head on it, it went flat. Kept pulling it up onto my shoulder to get more height, but it was hopeless, as the pillow was so soft. Had about 3 hours sleep in total. Woke up in severe pain in my neck, and had lost the feeling in both hands. In addition, the right side of my face was swollen up like a balloon, my eye was closed, and I was finding it difficult to breath. It was very frightening. Being a nurse, I'm very concerned about what chemicals are n this pillow, if it caused such a sever reaction. You are told when you buy these pillows that you can try them, and if not suitable, you can return them for a refund. I love Tempur pillows, and I have bought 6 in total now. I contacted Land of Beds, and explained the problem to customer services. I explained about it going flat, and sent a pic of my swollen face. They tell me that they won't refund me, "as you have used it". How on earth can you try a pillow without lying on it??? I have asked for the contact details of the CEO of the company, but they have refused to give it to me. I have also contacted Tempur themselves, and am awaiting a reply, although I did not buy it directly via their site.

“14 day return guarantee ”

Having bought a very expensive mattress on the assumption that you had a 14 day returns guarantee only to be told that once the mattress had been tried we could not return, now left with a mattress we cannot use because it is so uncomfortable and told by customer service team to buy a mattress topper to make it more comfortable. Shocking customer service would advise anyone not to buy from this company £1200 down the drain and they are not in the slightest bit interested, worst company I have ever purchased from. Your lack of common sense shouldnt reflect badly on a company (the main problem with these review sites)

Once you have taken it out of its packaging and slept on it, its used. Noone is going to want a used matress, so they cant resell it. Next time try it in its packaging. You can get a sense of a matress firmness without taking it out of the packaging. Even if you say you didnt sleep on it, noone knows that for sure because all evidence says you have ie removing packaging.

Personally reading reviews like this make me more likely to use them because I know I am not getting a used matress.

Think about it and if you disagree ask yourself if you would buy a 'new' matress knowing it had been slept in for 2 weeks? Probably not.

“Terrible customer service”

Make sure you get the right mattress. I was unable to return my bed after it had been assembled. You are unable to return once the mattress has been opened. They only explain this in the small print of terms and conditions. They do not mention this at point of sale. I am disabled and have arthritis in my spine and hips. I purchased a 3 medium rated bed with memory foam/pocket springs. The bed is really firm and more like a 5. My previous bed was a 3 with memory foam but my new bed is nothing in comparison. I Cannot even feel the memory foam with no give exacerbating my back pain. No relief on Pressure points. I am currently suffering with pain as a result. I sent four Email replies but each one replied that i had to Keep using the bed for 4-8 weeks for it to improve or use a mattress topper... I think they miss the point that you are in too much pain to carry on for 8 weeks!
