“Excellent transaction”

I am surprised and disappointed to read the 2 previous bad reviews. I ordered Michigan line bedroom furniture which was good quality keenly priced and well packed for delivery. The company administration was goo and efficient and the courier cost to Scottish Highlands was extremely cheap. I would certainly use them again.

“Worst online retailer”

★☆☆☆☆

written by Bob-Eire on 11/03/2014

From start to finish, worst online shopping experience we have had from hundreds of other online transactions. With d2dfurniture you are guilty until proven innocent when you call to inform them of a faulty/damaged product. The item received had a big split in the door panel (big enough to see light come through), but after sending photos of the faulty panel as requested by d2dfurniture they accused me of enlarging the photos ? They stated that the customer should expect flaws in furniture ? Bottom line: if you receive faulty damaged items from d2dfurniture they will threat you like a liar until they say otherwise, tell you the evidence you send is enlarged and after waiting weeks for pickup they will charge you 45 for the experience/nightmare of dealing with them. Also NONE of the staff are helpful/friendly or even polite to deal with. 6 week process for a damaged/faulty wardrobe to be returned AVOID THEM, UNLESS YOU WOULD LIKE EXTRA GREY HAIR

“d2d furniture's goodwill gesture! (aye that will be...”

★☆☆☆☆

written by RayJJC on 14/08/2012

I ordered my 4 year old son bedroom furniture from d2d furniture online as they seemed to have good reviews, good prices, nice furniture etc...Within 8 days of him sleeping in the new bed, the side frame broke, there was a knot in the wood which must have weakened it.Emailed then phoned them to get a replacement beam as rest of bed seems fine, was told I would get a replacement beam as a "goodwill gesture" but would have to pay £27 delivery as it's mainland Britain!. The man I spoke to couldn't understand why I wasn't happy to pay the delivery fee, even though it's not normal for a new bed that has a child weighting 2 1/2 stone sleeping in it for 8 nights to break! They do state on their website that faulty goods will be replaced but it fails to mention they will charge you a ridiculous amount to deliver. Their website also says they have depots/stores in many cities so surely they could offer to deliver it to your nearest one if they are too poor to afford the delivery to replace the shoddy goods they have sent you. I would avoid at all costs.

D2Dreview's Response to RayJJC's Review

Thanks for your comments, we appreciate your feedback. The issue in this case was that the bed had actually been delivered much more than 8 days before the time of the complaint. We don't have the information to hand because the problem was reported to us by phone, but we think that the furniture had been delivered between one and two months prior to the complaint. As such, we didn't treat the broken side rail of the bed as a faulty item. We still offered to replace the part affected and only asked that the cost of sending it by courier to the North of Scotland was paid

If any furniture is faulty then it is always replaced free of charge regardless of how long it has been owned. At the time we were convinced that the problem as described could not have been caused by a fault. Perhaps on reflection we could have agreed to split the cost of carriage with you as it does seem a lot, but was the true cost of delivering to your address
