£1000+ worth of goods arrived damaged, with hindsight would have had them straight out the door but have made purchases from Cousins over the years without trouble (never ever again) until something goes wrong you don't experience just how bad their (non-existant)customer service is - then you start reading the reviews... Anyway, delivery team said customer services would contact, they didn't. I had to phone them & to cut a long story short I didn't want repair, replacement etc they offered, I wanted refund I was entitled to because goods were not acceptable quality. Company continually refused & were adamant wouldn't refund. I researched online, furniture ombudsman, small claims court, legal helpline - who thankfully told me to contact Trading Standards & how grateful am I for that advice. First class service from Sandwell Trading Standards (Cousins Head Office & customer service is located in Oldbury, Sandwell) sent letter on Monday & they turned up unexpected on our doorstep on the Thursday. Turns out Cousins have their very own 'single point of contact' at Trading Standards (still don't know if I find that impressive or disturbing) who intervened on our behalf, don't know what discussion took place but got call out of the blue from Cousins customer service stating they would give full refund!! Finally after around 2 & half months goods were collected & we got our refund cheque! Result! With Big Thanks to Trading Standards :)
