“Shop soiled tools”

I ordered a Erbauer from a local store and had to get a friend to pick it up. I saw that the box had been knocked about and tampered with.
I contacted the local store and spoke with the manager and found him to be unprofessional and very unhelpful. He said that it was not unusual to repackage items that were on the shop floor and sell it on. I told him that by advertising goods on the shop floor for customers would be classed as shop soiled and should not be sold to customers as new and that customers would want to play around with it anyway.
Had to ring customer services who offered to replace it next day and apologised but I was a little hesitant cause I had a problem only a few weeks ago with a faulty router.
I am still very upset with the local manager and will never set foot in there ever again. Am now looking to shop elsewhere..
