We ordered a kitchen table, two benches and two chairs for £1160. We finally received our order today, almost 3 months after it was due to arrive. There were many excuses for the delays, from the van breaking down to needing more deliveries to warrant a load. We started to have reservations about the trustworthiness of the company, which we conveyed to them. The man over the phone ensured us that everything was in order - he even went so far as to say that he was looking at the furniture, and " it looked lovely." What an untruth! The two chairs are unfinished. A leg on each has not been stained. You can even see the carpenters markings. We are very disappointed with the quality of the furniture, the long delays in delivery, and the extremely poor customer service. DON'T USE SL GARDENS & HOMES

Ordered a garden set 7 weeks ago cost 500 pounds, still not delivered. Very little response to phone calls and emails. Terrible service don't use them its just a one man band operating as a company.

We ordered a chiminea, we received the chiminea about 8 weekend after we ordered it, but it was smashed. I phoned them and got through to someone straight away. who told me a replacement would need to come from Italy?! I think this is a small family run business and they said that their dad had died. I contacted them a few time after that, but have still not received anything. I think they will not be trading any more.

As with many people on here I ordered a Chimenea (seems it doesn't matter what you ordered) for a birthday present - got a couple of emails back and one phone call telling me it was on back order and would be in X weeks. Have had nothing - money was taken out of account immediately. Does anyone have the phone number as web site now seems to be "under construction" Also does anyone know what legal action you can take

Failed to meet any promise or to fulfil order or to refund monies, I am surprised that this company is able to continue trading. I am now in the throws of communication with Barclaycard in order to try to obtain repayment.

Had to have our bank reverse the charges. We ordered a patio set that was never delivered. Don't answer emails or phone calls. Thankfully we paid with VISA.

Ordered a gas patio heater and matching cover at beginning of August. Heater took weeks to arrive, had to chase up endlessly. When we finally received it no cover was with it. Contacted JL Plants by email and phone constantly to request cover be sent out asap as we had already paid for it. Still trying to get any answer as phones off and website says maintenance, and no answer to any of my emails! Customer service very poor!!

Ordered garden furniture 23.04.15.. Money was taken out of account the same day..rang after 2 weeks - told there had been berevement in family so left it for another 4 weeks only to be fobbed off with another excuse ..rang Every fortnight to see how things were progressing...was told order was on its way from China and would be here end of August.....think all the rowers on the boat must have drowned ...when Sept came all hopes of getting furniture was futile...am now trying to claim money back via my credit card...DO NOT Be HAD like me ...don't order from a them...to be told the furniture was not kept in stock would have stopped me progressing with the order

Ordered goods, paid for them and then order failed to be delivered. Tried contacting company without success and ended up reclaiming money through my credit card company ( who were brilliant ).

Purchased a chiminea from JL Plants Online on the 7th Sept 15 which wasn't delivered within the 3-10 working days quoted. Website now constantly shows as being under maintenance and the customer service number says that you can no longer contact them via it. Have now started the chargeback process as purchased via debit card.

They now operate as SL Garden and Homes but it is the same thing as JL Online plants. I ordered 8 trees on the 9th September and was been told that they have not been delivered as yet even though last week I was assured that they will be dispatched today. The phones are not switched off and so is their website

This company gives all internet sellers a bad name. JL plants online have after numerous bad reviews rebranded as slgardenandhomes.co.uk. The owner operates from his back garden that's why no real product pictures, do yourself a favour buy from a professional company who know the meaning of customer service. I purchased from this company the goods did arrive so I suppose that's a positive, however quality was poor. At best amateurs.

I ordered goods online, paid for them only to then be told that item was out of stock. I have been waiting for a refund since 31.7.15. I paid using my credit card so have now had to pay interest on the amount which is supposed to be refunded. Make sure you have done in depth research before buying anything on line if the organisation isn't already known to you.

Ordered and paid for 2 x Buxus spiral plants.9th august.promised delivery within 10 days.Rang up Emailed numerous times,no response whatsoever total cost of items.£96.00.Still not delivered.KEEP AWAY

We placed an order and wished to amend it so we called the number (no reply) and then emailed (we received a reply). They advised we place another order and they would cancel our original order (we wanted a bigger pot). Eventually an order arrived - our original one! They stated they would refund the original one as a priority and that we would receive the correct order. Yet again we received the wrong order. They have now taken 2 lots of payment and refunded nothing. The tree we've received is dying and the pot is the wrong size. You cannot leave a message and are asked to email. They are responding to nothing. Do not waste your hard earned money on a company like this. So far we've paid over £200 and have a tree that's dying and no idea if we will ever receive our refund. They claim satisfaction guaranteed but this is a lie.

I ordered a chimenea on 17th July. There is nothing on the website to indicate that you will face an extensive delay in receiving your goods. Despite numerous emails (often ignored) and phone calls (you can sometimes speak to a guy in the evenings) I am still waiting. I am heartily fed up with listening to promises about when the chimenea will arrive and I have asked for my money back. I am not holding my breath.
